Wow what a surprise. We found this by Unilocaling of course. Walked 800 feet from our hotel. Location is on the water and the menu surprisingly large. We had the ahi tuna app which was fabulous. Followed by crab cakes and bacon wrapped scallops. Crab cakes were as good as it gets served with a refreshing sauce. The scallops did not have much flavor other than bacon. Happy hour until 7 and half off drinks. We had doubles and were a nice pour. The wait staff was awesome and very attentive. Fun atmosphere in the deck where we ate and drink. A gentleman even came to our table and gave us a bunch of long stem roses. When we asked the staff they said it is a regular occasion with this gentleman. The walk back was nice in the Florida air.

I really want to like this place… and do for lunch, but we won’t be returning for dinner. We gave them their 3rd chance tonight and just like the last two dinner visits, they completely blew it with management’s refusal to hire enough staff. The food is decent, but one waitress to take care of multiple sections makes for a pretty bad evening. We tried to get a table… and sat through a huge wait, primarily because they couldn’t be bothered to clean tables and get people a bill so they can leave. We moved to the bar to watch the bartender(who I also believe to be the manager) spend 10 minutes at the service bar, ignoring a bar full of patrons. When were were eventually seated, the waitress told us the kitchen was backed up… we asked if we could a get a few bowls of chowder quickly. She said yes, and disappeared for 15 minutes. My friend ended up asking the kids at the table next to us how long they had been waiting for dinner…“A LONGTIME”. At the 20 minute point(after reminding the waitress about the chowder we ordered) we left. Called Billy’s Tavern, ordered a pizza that was coming out of the oven as we walked in the door. Rendezvous tried to ruin the night… Billy’s Tavern saved it.

I wanted so much to enjoy a really good meal by the water on my first day of vacation from the cold but the patio was inhabited by cigar smoking and cigarette smoking and it was most unpleasant To dine outside. We moved inside with the help of accommodating waitstaff and ordered our various meals. I decided on the strip steak sandwich and ordered it medium with grilled onions and slaw in stead of fries. It arrived with fries. Ugh. It arrived very well done, not really chewable. It arrived drowning in wilted onions. It arrived with out coleslaw. I ordered ice tea and basically it was tea flavored water. I chose not to make a big deal but I was not satisfied customer. The African American woman that was bussing the table was very kind and efficient. The bathrooms were nice. The seats were comfy. The wait staff were pretty nice but seemed to be a little out of sync.

I honestly have no complaints. The staff was pleasant, the food came in a timely manner and was delicious! I had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich and it was great. And my husband got the crab cake sliders and the chilli and that was awesome also. I’m glad we came here. Just a 12 min walk from the Rodeway Inn and not a hard travel at all!

Another Florida masterpiece. This is where I ended up after the Treasure Trove fail. Bartender was super cool as I arrived, but we had a miscommunication and she didn’t hear the type of burger I chose, and instead thought I wanted the one she had recommended, and insisted that she was«right» and would bet everything she had on it. I tried to explain that we were 10 feet apart, she didn’t hear all that I said, and she told me, «no you didn’t.» Just for the sake of argument, let’s say I didn’t. Who in America, no, the World?! argues with a customer, and vehemently?! Can’t imagine how unhappy her significant other must be. Again, haven’t been to Florida in 27 years — and this is why. Chock full of absolutely the rudest, stupidest people on earth.(FWIW: pushed the burger away, paid for my beer, and left. The one bite I had of the french fry, however, tells me I dodged a disgusting bullet of a meal).

This is def a nice place to hang out! Pricing isn’t to bad and service isn’t either. You can sit on the dock which has a pretty nice view! Ordered a piña colada and a Long Island… Wasn’t to fond of it but the food was amazing! We ordered some chicken wings and seasoned fries… Agh so good ! Def will be coming back :-)

Our hotel(Hampton inn which has also been a great stay) recommended this restaurant. And we are so glad they did! The food was amazing! the drinks were delicious. And the service was great! My mom and I shared the rendezvous chicken sandwich. So good and we are so happy we shared. We did order side salads too. The food came out fast and our server Laura was very attentive and fun.

Great atmosphere and great food! A classmate and I met up for a quick lunch and she chose a great place! Right on the water, super serene, great service and good food! We got all apps(burger sliders, calamari, fish fingers, and crab dip). Crab dip was so-so, everything else, especially the fish fingers were delish! Good service and not too crowded.

My boyfriend and I had stopped in on a Friday around 6pm and aware that Happy Hour was till 7pm. There were 2 female bartenders working the bar. We sat for about 5 – 10 mins before we were acknowledged by 1 bartender. We ordered 2 drinks and started talking to several other customers. At which time I took a sip of my beverage only to question why I could not taste any alcohol whatsoever, low and behold I watched our bartender short pour numerous drinks to several customers ONLY to OVERPOUR for her regulars.(I am in the business and have been a bartender for years so yes, I can attest to the correct pouring standards) Around 6:30pm I ordered 2 shots and asked for another round of drinks. At which time we were given our drinks only after our less then tasteful bartender flirted with her customers and playing with her breasts in front of them.(I’m assuming this is how she makes her money) this particular bartender seemed to either be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs. Not exactly my idea of a person you’d want to have in control of your product and your money!!! When it was time to leave I asked for the bill only to see only 2 drinks were priced for Happy Hour when yet I ordered 6 drinks well before the cutoff time for Happy Hour. Needless to say before I could ask her about it she snatched my Credit card from the bar and processed the payment, then proceeded to slap the receipt on the bar and go back to socializing with her regulars. I have visited here a few times and can honestly say the food is less then subpar and the service especially is far below satisfactory! I’d save your money and your time and head elsewhere for quality food and service!

Eggs Benedict for Sunday brunch were really great. The eggs were perfectly done, nice and yolky. Hollandaise sauce is very good, a bit on the thicker side. Note that if you want potatoes, they are an extra side order. Overall, a very good brunch.

I have a serious issue with waiting more than 5 minutes for somebody to come by and ask if they can get your drink order. Entered the place and the sign said wait to be seated, 1 minute later a waitress walks by and says«seat yourself» and walks away. We had to grab menus for ourselves too. After 5 minutes we told the waitress we were leaving.

One minute I was on state road 84 and the next I was tucked into this marina/condos at a dockside restaurant. Rendezvous is a hidden waterfront restaurant that has a stunning view. I had a Rendezvous Voodoo drink that had several different rums in it. I could taste coconut but it was so delicious and smooth that it was gone way too quickly. We started with the clam chowder. It was a nice consistency not too thin and not full of flour. It had a nice amount of clams but disappointed when it came to flavor. The potato flavor overpowered the clams. I felt like I was eating potato soup with clams. The salad with coconut crusted dolphin was the true winner. It came with a variety of field greens, tomatoes, cucumber and a huge filet of super fresh mahi mahi lightly crusted on top. They brought some type of mayo sauce however I opted for the lemon wedges for the fish and then asked for balsamic dressing for the salad. The Shrimp Po Boy was a close second with lots of fried shrimp on a fresh hoagie roll. The shrimp tasted like they were wild caught and were a good size. The coleslaw was cut thick and it was creamy but not too much mayonnaise. The service was really good, we had two friendly girls wait on us that carried out the order with a smile.

Really nice view on the patio in the early evening, very picturesque with the harbor and palm trees, easy to talk and enjoy conversation. The server was very nice and had good recommendations, food was enjoyable. Didn’t order anything really ‘out there’ but the burgers and sandwiches hit the spot. Be aware that guests are permitted to smoke on the patio, so even though no one near us was smoking, I could see some tables were bothered by having smokers at tables near them. If you’re a smoker, you will love being able to light up at your table, if you’re not, you may want to sit indoors or get a patio seat closer to the boats where there’s a decent cross breeze.

We ate here as it was walking distance from a boat we were on in the marina. Food is average. The service is average. It was a shock to be eating outside and have people smoke at the next table. Did not enjoy that although not much the restaurant can do if people want to smoke at the next table while I’m eating at mine. On our first night we arrived for dinner around 9pm and as I didn’t see anyone inside the restaurant(most of them were outside) I said ‘Are you still open?’ To which the charming host replied ‘Why, that must be the most stupid question I’ve ever heard!’ If I wasn’t so hungry I would have walked out because that was rude.

Thank you fellow Unilocalers, I found this wonderful place on here! After two weeks of traveling abroad, we were in need of a cozy atmosphere with great food for our one night stop in Fort Lauderdale. The kids food came out pretty quickly & helped divert their meltdowns. We sat out on the deck facing the marina & the kids loved looking at the fish below since there were lights underwater — perfect for distracting them! Everything was perfect. We started with coconut shrimp & a French onion soup — DEELISH! We had the signature seafood pasta in their pink sauce & it was on point. Perfect amount of seafood & their pink sauce was perfect! My husband had the grilled ahi tuna with mashed potatoes & steamed veggies & he loved it. Our waitress was from Long Island — didn’t catch her name, but provided great service! If we ever make it back to Fort Lauderdale, we would definitely be back!

Ducked in with Johnny Numbers during a festive boat ride along Fort Lauderdale’s breathtaking waterfront. They don’t call it the Venice of America for nothing. Benson met us at the door after we tied up the Rybovich. We had 15 minutes left to get a bite and a coldy. It was 1045P. I used to haunt this joint back in the day. And again the day after that. I’m not really a fan. It is on the water. But it doesn’t really have any personality. Sure you can sit outside and look at boats. The place is clean. The food is average, the service okay. I guess since I know better, that there are 10K other places with better views within a 15 minute drive, I expect this place to up its game. Not so much. Cabeza OUT!

Nice off the beat but a great view. Service was good and friendly. I had the Coconut Mahi salad and it was good with a cup of Clam chowder. Food is good but not exceptional. but then again this is not a 5 star restaurant. Casual and good for a business lunch if you are in area.
