Few notes here. My family and I went here on Friday night for a couple of pizzas. It took a waitress 25 plus minutes to tell us that someone would be with us when they had a chance. The thing to take here is that the place want even busy as far as restaurants go. The waitstaff lack of experience and ability to prioritize their duties is the issue. Finally a cashier who had been pulled you wait tables took our order… thing to take here is that this was to only person hustling… she actually took our order and we weren’t even her responsibility. During this 25 minute wait this bitch and that’s the only way to describe her, basically put on the blinders not to acknowledge us and others. …very rude and one point yelled or we are very busy and we’ll get to you when we can… again ITWASN’T THATBUSY. …LOL The icing on the cake was watching the head chef the tall guy dressed in red. …grab a paper towel, blow his nose and without going to the restroom or washing his hands return to work with food… GROSS…PLACEBLOWSSAVEYOURMONEY. …

Last night in Florida — worst pizza ever !! The sauce tasted like tomato paste out of a can. Do yourself a favor & pass on this place.

We live locally and have eaten here often. Tonite we went for a quick meal and quick it was not. It took 45 minutes to get our pizza and another 10 minutes to get my very simple dish for dinner. I spoke to the manager and he appears uninterested and annoyed that I was complaining. When I finally got my dinner it was marginal at best. The manager offered us dessert which we declined. I wasn’t looking for anything free. I just wanted a cgood quick meal. That did not happen. Not sure I will be back.

The good excellent the service was very good and the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. Other then the food the thing I like the best is the place is extremely clean and very comfortable. I will positively come back again and again. If you don’t like this place you’re probably an idiot!

Have eaten here about 3 times, they consistently provide excellent service(yay Gia!) and affordably priced meals. Wonderful sweets for after dinner, too. Wonderful salads, greens were chopped up right as I waited, they were fresh. Plenty of parking, good location and friendly staff.

Cool place by the beach for pizza. We gave our orders and we were the only ones in the restaurant which was nice, it was a super early lunch for us. We gave our order and got the Caprese Pizza and waited until it came out. We noticed it was wrong and it was actually a miscommunication on the order. Not an issue, we were at the beach, no hurry and I’m not about to get worked up about something like that. While we sat and waited again the server was very apologetic and offered us free appetizers while we waited, which we didn’t really want, so we passed. A few minutes later he asked again if we were sure we didn’t want anything else and we declined. I’m shocked, very few places will EVER give that kind of service for just a miscommunicated order. We didn’t wait that much longer and the pizza was great, took home some too. Great service here.

Chicken Parm was excellent, breaded correctly and cooked perfectly with fresh mozzarella on top… and I’m THE world’s toughest chicken parm critic. Any Italian can confirm to you this is a very difficult dish to really get right and I’ve been disappointed in Manhattan restaurants more often than I care to count. When a restaurant does get it right it speaks volumes and I know I can trust them for any other dish. Margherita pizza was also absolutely delicious… Tomatoes were fresh and crisp and not overcooked like so many places do. Speaking as an Italian native New Yorker… I highly recommend.

Eggplant parmesan was pretty gross. The eggplant was soggy. My boyfriends meal was drenched in an unnessary amount of ricotta and tasted just as bad as it looked. Salad was okay. Service was good. Parking is insane.

Best Italian food I’ve ever eaten. I had the calamari, garlic knots, and broccoli rabe with sausage pasta served over angel hair instead of penne. It was soooo good! I highly recommend Pa D when in the South Florida area. Service was excellent, and the prices and portions were great as well!

My husband and I were visiting the area for the weekend and most of the restaurants in the main ‘square’ had lines outside and were very crowded so we decided to stop in here for some pizza. I read the reviews on Unilocal and they were not glowing but decided to give it a try. The staff was very friendly; the restaurant and restroom was very clean. We had pizza slices as our appetizer. It was pretty good. I have to qualify this since when it comes to pizza I constantly read reviews from people visiting from the northeast or, like myself, a former NYer. If you are expecting NY or NJ seaside pizza, I’ve yet to find it here in Florida — it’s always the standard that pizza is measured to and you’ll read many people saying it was the best or close to NY but that is all relative. So having said that the pizza was good — thin crust — average slice size — nothing to rave about but also not bad by any means. What was absolutely delicious was the chicken parmigiana. My husband had that with ziti. It was incredibly tender and fresh. I had some bites of his and wanted to go back the next night for more since I enjoyed it so much(didn’t end up going back though). I had pasta fagioli soup instead(wasn’t real hungry). It was good, nothing to rave about but, again, not bad either. I would definitely go here again if I was in the area and next time I will definitely order my own plate of chicken parmigiana :)

This pizza is disgusting. No really, it’s disgusting. I’ve tried it twice for confirmation. Actually, once was more than enough but my friend didn’t believe me, brought over an entire damn pie, and subsequently believed me. Needless to say, never again.

Far more clean, orderly and pleasant than most pizza parlor joints in the area. It’s an off shoot of the Pa’DeGennaro’s fine Italian dinning next door but about the only quality food carry over from that place to this place are some rather good meatballs. The rest is rather«oh hum,» good, but nothing for me to get into a Unilocal rave about.

I visited Pa D’s this evening and found it to be just good enough for me to not walk out, but that’s about it. Most people I know consider me to be somewhat of an Italian food aficionado, and you should too. :) Pa D’s is lackluster inside and out. But that doesn’t matter to me. The service is slow. But I’m patient. Here are the things that really disappointed me: 1. Jalapeño Poppers are obviously just purchased frozen and deep fried. 2. Pizza was slightly burnt and too salty 3. Eggplant Parmagiano is made with frozen eggplant 4. I can’t prove it, but I’m pretty sure at least some component of the marinara comes from a can Would I eat at Pa D’s again? Sure. And I’m sure I won’t like it again. The location is great and I really hope they start to take their food more seriously.

This is a branch of Pa DeGennaro’s and it’s a branch that falls not far from the tree which is right next door. I had an order of Meatballs(A+) and linguine that I took home. The little woman and I split it and it was more than enough. More important, it was a great meal. Even though I didn’t sit down at the restaurant it’s a complete second restaurant; it’s right next to it’s Papa, the interior is fine, clean, light, and as pleasant as they come in Ft. Lauderdale. The kitchen is open, bringing back a tradition that only my grandfather told me about in NYC. The diner can see that it is clean, well organized and in great shape. Best of luck to Pa and his offspring. I hope this place works. Harry A Moody
