Amazing fresh food!!! Onion rings are a must. Lobster a lot of work but totally worth it.

Arrived here at 6:30PM on a Saturday, told there was an hour wait but we knew it was worth the wait. We waited outside for a while then moved inside to the bar. Had a couple cold drinks there and some Florida Stone crabs which were large and delicious. Soon after finishing these we were called for our table. My wife ordered the twin 1lb lobsters with a baked potato and a salad. I ordered the fried combo platter. These arrived in a very short time. The lobsters were cooked perfectly and the potato was nice and soft too. The fried combo was excellent. The breading isn’t too thick and it is tasty especially with the shrimp, scallops, clams and scrod. All of these were very fresh. We really like this place and if you are in the Fort Lauderdale area make sure you come here for seafood. There is a very nice atmosphere about this place, plus the great food and very good service. Wish we could visit more often.

Great lunch or dinner spot for fresh seafood Boston style. Portions are good sized and service is fantastic. Do order the clam chowder, lobster rolls, fish & chips, fried oysters, mussels and broiled scallops. Yummy.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday and we ordered the fritters, lobster rangoons, clam chowder, and fish and chips. The lobster rangoons are a must try. And definitely get the chowder. So glad we live close to this place. Can’t wait to try again soon!

If you’re looking for something ‘local,’ check out Kelly’s Landing, especially if you have a craving for some fresh New England and local seafood. The owners originally started their restaurant business in South Boston and moved to FLL almost 30 years ago. And they’ve been doing pretty well since they came down. Located on the corner of SE16th Street and Cordova Road, Kelly’s is a stone’s throw away from Port Everglades cruise terminal and many hotels along SE17th. Kelly’s was pretty busy when we arrived(close to 7:30p on a Wednesday evening) and seating is first-come, first served. It would’ve been a 30-minute wait for a table, so we claimed 2 seats outside at their outdoor patio. Check their specials as there might be something on there that might strike your fancy, like stone crabs, king crabs, or lobstah, They serve up some wicked good soups, and you definitely should consider a mug of their New England Clam«Chowdah.» Delish! I tried their famous ‘Fishwich’ sandwich(2 pieces of fried Boston scrod in a bun with lettuce), and although the food came out fresh out of the fryer, it was slightly lacking something… seasoning, maybe? All around, my friend and I had a great time at Kelly’s. We’ll be back for sure. 4.5 stars.

Always a wonderful choice for some authentic Boston comfort food! Grab a mug of their clam«chowder» and a lobster roll and you are all set. I love that the servers and bartenders never change. Cat at the bar even remembered me from my last visit which was almost 2 years ago! And Donna, our server, was as efficient as ever getting us in and out in no time. You’ll probably have to wait 20 – 30 minutes for a table but if you get there early, or are willing to sit at the bar, there may be no wait at all! Still one of my favs!

I have been coming here for years as it is very good. My husband is from Boston so now we come more often as he can get all the food from up in New England that he misses. We started with the New England Clam Chowder, Lobster Bisque served with a nice piece of buttery toasted bread and Ipswich Clams fried. Than we had a lobster roll and Ipswich Clams Fried sides were cole slaw, baked beans, and French Fries. We had bottle Budweiser and Bud Light at $ 3.75 each this was a bargain.

What a delicious find! Lob-sta rolls! Buttery bread with lots of chunks of tasty lobster and shredded lettuce! The sides were delicious not-too creamy coleslaw and seasoned fries… yummy goodness! New England style Clam Chowder was probably the BEST we have ever eaten! I lived Down East as a teenager and Know clam chowder from the best kitchens there and this recipe certainly is up there with the best of them! There are a handful of restaurants down here that warrant a repeat visit… Kelly’s Landing has moved to the top of that list! Note…this is a small place and you might have to eat at the bar or wait for a table… don’t let that discourage your from eating here!

I had such a good time at Kelly’s Landing that I am giving them 5 stars. I think I am giving them 5 stars based on their food and hospitality, and not based on the company we kept, the laughs and smiles, and the total number of drinks consumed. I am not sure. All I know for sure is that Kelly’s Landing delivered a great seafood date. This restaurant is pretty authentic to New England seafood restaurants I have been to anywhere on Cape Cod or down east Maine. The New England Clam Chowder was thick and creamy and buttery, and full of clams and clammy goodness. The Lobster roll was classic, authentic as well. I had the Fish and Chips to erase a bad experience I had had the night before with Fish and Chips at a restaurant around the corner, and it failed to erase that memory, so the food was not all perfect. And, we ordered Quahogs and we received this weird grainy sticky, starchy, mystery ball in its place. The strongest aspect of Kelly’s was the service and our waitress. She was animated, informative, and related to us on a personal level as well as professional. Drinks are another strong aspect of Kelly’s. The drinks were perfect. The difference a quality bartender makes in the assembly of a drink is amazing. Serving a great drink is not as easy as just pouring some liquids and ice into a glass. I love Kelly’s Landing. The seafood is good, and fresh, the drinks are great, the service is terrific; Kelly’s has it all. This is a great place to meet friends or take your family. So I give Kelly’s Landing our highest rating.

Good food, good prices, interesting beer, good service. Boston style seafood reminds me of some restaurants in Revere and Nahant. Can be crowded and a bit noisy, but fun. The lobsters and clam and oyster dishes were quite good.

I had heard about this place from friends and finally the boyfriend and I decided to check it out. It was tucked into a shopping plaza, almost like a hidden gem. It’s nice to find a place that comes recommended by someone from the northeast because the food is so authentic, and also a casual dining spot that serves whole lobsters… Can’t beat that! For starters the carafe of wine is the best deal, we got almost 6 glasses of wine from that thing! Definitely worth it. The Chardonnay wasn’t bad for the price. We decided to share several items… — shrimp scampi appetizer– cooked well, oozing with butter garlic sauce. –crab cake appetizer– this thing was a huge patty!!! And made totally of crab meat. I can always appreciate a place that does crab cakes well. There’s not many of them. — little neck clams– these were alright, least favorite of what we tried. –clam chowdah– one of the best I’ve had, not too thick, generous portions of clams, great flavor overall! –the lobstah roll– we got the one warmed and dipped with butter. Holy moly. Hands down best lobster roll I’ve ever had. I could eat that thing for breakfast lunch and dinner! Huge chunks of succulent lobster meat oozing with buttery goodness. I already want to go back!!!

I visited here with a couple of local regulars who dine here every week and just gushed about it. They did let me know that it is always crowded and there may be a wait,(which is a good sign, I guess), however since we arrived late, around 9:30pm, there was ample seating available. The waitress quickly came over, took drink orders and handed out the menus. Upon return with our beer and wine she informed us of the specials. She was very nice and hospitable. The glass of house Pino Grigio I ordered was very adequate. Perusing the menu, I noticed that there were both large and small plate options available. My expert friends guided me through. The recommendation was to get the smaller plates(located at the bottom left inside of the menu), to indulge in a variety of different fish samplings, without getting filled up on a bunch of sides. Sounded perfect. I’m in! First off we ordered two buckets of Ipswich clam steamers for the table. They were served traditionally with the rinsing water and side of melted butter. The clams tasted as they should, but the stems(I call it the foot), where a bit small and the clam didn’t pull away from the shell without breaking apart on any of them. Nonetheless I was able to pull off the top skin and eat the whole thing. The drawn butter seemed very light, as if maybe cut with water to thin it out, but it may have just been the type of butter. Overall the clams were very good, though a bit gritty at the top. Would I get this again? Yes. Knowing now what to expect. Next we ordered three small plate dishes which we tasted around the table: 1) Fried scallops: Came with a side of tarter. Loved them! 2) Broiled scallops with a baked sweet potato side: Very good on both accounts. 3) Caesar salad topped with blackened dolphin: This was the star of the table. A delicious salad complemented with homemade croutons. For me it had a bit too much dressing, but the rest of the party was in ecstasy. All three of us left well satisfied. I will definitely be back.

Kelly’s has been on my bookmarks list for three years, so when I got off the plane, this was the first stop after picking up my Dad. Arriving what should have been the lunch rush hour, there was still quite a crowd when we got there at 1:30PM. We were shown to a table and given menus. They’re big menus with lots of seafood items and some landlubber stuff for the people who don’t eat fish. Fine with me, that’s more seafood for me to eat! I opted for the lobstah roll and asked for it with the cole slaw and french fries. The waitress asked if I wanted it «hot or cold» and that’s a question I’ve never been asked before. So I went with the cold. It arrived a few minutes later and as you can see from the picture, it is very well stuffed with lobster meat. Enough that you need to fork a few pieces before you can collapse the roll for biting into. Very meaty, not too much mayo or other stuff on this thing. It’s well worth it. The fries were a little soggy but the cole slaw was top notch. Not soggy at all, quite crisp and did not seem to be the stuff that you can buy from the local supermarket. Very good. Four stars for being crowded and noisy and seats that weren’t quite comfy. While the food came quickly and was good quality, I thought that the waitstaff was overworked for the crowd so our drinks didn’t get as many refills as they should have.

AWESOME Dinner tonight! We were looking for a seafood place in the area before we check in to the hotel, first word I saw– Ipswich… I told my hubby ‘Turn around!‘ Kelly’s Clam Chowdah have topped Legal Seafood’s version! Crab cake are just fine… I like chunkier crab meat if they can adjust it. Fried Ipswich clams are perfectly cooked! Light batter just the way it should be. Boston Cream pie… your eyes are gonna roll(the good kind) and say ‘OMG!‘ My husband & I were stuffed when we left. Thank you for a great dinner!

I’m a native Boston girl, and I thought Kelly’s Landing was as close as it gets to the casual-dining-but-top-notch-food types of seafood restaurants that you can find throughout the greater Boston area. I live in Seattle now, and there is nothing like this here. So I was thrilled to find this cute little place while on vacation in Florida!(thanks to my fellow Unilocalers :)) 8 of us piled in there on a Sunday night, and remarkably, got a table within 5 minutes of our arrival. The place was packed. I have no doubt that we would have had to wait at least an hour if it had been a Friday or Saturday night. They have an extensive menu of East-coast seafood favorites… lob-stah, ipswich clams, blue crab, and so on, as well as all the standards such as shrimp scampi and fish and chips. The prices were reasonable. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Overall the place just had a very casual, down-home New England atmosphere that I greatly enjoyed. Let me start by saying that the clam chowder was«to die fah». yum! If you get nothing else that I talk about here, get the chowder. I wanted a lobster roll, but am not crazy about mayonnaise, so I decided to try their«Conneticut-style» lobster roll, which is basically a bunch of lobster meat sauteed in butter and piled into a grilled hot dog roll, and that is it. Delicious! Others had the fish and chips(very good, except for that the french fries weren’t hand-cut), mussels scampi(spicy and delicious), and shrimp scampi. The fish was super-fresh and the portion sizes generous. Everyone was happy! For dessert, try the brownie sundae. It tastes homemade, and isn’t overwhelmingly huge like the desserts one sometimes gets in restaurants. It is small enough for one person to finish, and big enough for two to share.

Awesome! I can’t believe I did not find this gem years ago ! Food is wicked awesome Had steamers, little necks, a huge large order of onion rings. Then the calm rolls came OMG the roll is toasted in butter, like butter! Like heaven! I do not eat fried and buttered but this was so worth it! Got a Boston cream pie to go…

This is a winner. The service was awesome, and the food is good. Although the clam chowder was a bit salty for my taste. But otherwise, everything was right on. I went here with a friend who grew up in Boston and he comes in here regularly. It’s a clean restaurant with good food and excellent service. The prices are reasonable for the area. All-in-all, it’s a great place for New England style seafood. Oh, and as we were getting ready to leave someone walked in and we could see through the open door that it was pouring rain. So we stayed a little longer and had dessert. The bananas foster cake is amazing and the bread pudding changes, so ask what it is that day. And stay for it. You’ll be very happy you did. And hit the gym tomorrow.

My parents foun this little gem awhile ago and I was able to go a couple of weeks ago. It is a little place that clearly the owner is from the New England area. It is located inside a shopping center in Ft lauderdale. Honestly, I would have never seen it, if my parents had not already found it. We started with the onion rings as an appitizer because they are so yummy! I am not a big onion ring fan but these were delicious, they were crispy and airy and didnt really taste too onioney. I also had the CHOWDA, because thats how you have to say it, I was told. It was so good, I honestly wish I just got a huge bowl of that. It was probably the best clam chowder I have even had. My mom and I shared the fried clam roll because honestly, it was enough for two. We were so full from everything we ate it for dinner. The guy next to us, ordered some lobster thing, it looked like stuffed lobster, but it looked so good, the whole restaurant looked at his plate go by. The only reason I am deducting a star is because of the wait. We were seated right away because it was not that busy and I dont know if our waitress was new but it took forever. We had to ask for everything. I asked for lemon 3 times and I felt bad having to keep ask. She just didnt seem to know what was going on. She was very nice but unsure. She also kept trying to take our plate away and we were still eating. She tried to take the onion rings away 4 times until we finally said, we are taking them home. I would defintely go back for the chowder alone! But the other food is good too!
