Service and food the best you can ask for. 10⁄10 would fly to Ft. Lauderdale just to eat here again.

This place is a true gem, and we were so happy to have found this place through Unilocal while visiting the town. Hidden in a residential area, it is a tiny café with very sweet and helpful staff. And it is in the middle of a trailer park, which made the drive more interesting for sure. My bf and I ordered Vaca Frita and Chicken Fricasse and they were absolutely incredible! Everything was cooked to the perfection. The seasoning was right on and the portion was generous. The service was prompt and the staff were very polite and attentive. Definitely one of the most authentic Cuban place you can find in Fort Lauderdale. It’s been over two weeks since we visited this place and we are still talking about their food. I would love to visit again when I’m in the town.

Just had an excellent lunch at Juana la Cubana! I had the fried shrimp with beans and rice and plantain, which was great. Most of the others had the Cuban sandwich was also very good. We all had cortaditos as well. Juana is a delight and makes the place hum, along with the wonderful food. We will be back. Thanks to the staff!

If I lived in Florida I would be a Daily regular customer. Unfortunately I live in San Diego California but I had the opportunity to stop by and get some lunch while I was visiting Florida this weekend and I’m so glad I did. Aside from the delicious food, coffee and flan the service you get entering the restaurant is so REAL& welcoming. I don’t recall my waiters name but he was sweet(Puerto Rican guy) and really helped us out with the menu since it was our first time. You feel like you’re going to visit your«AWELA» it’s small but cozy. I really wish there was one in San Diego(being half Cuban) but I’ll be back in July and I’m defiantly going to stop by.

I loved this place! Probably the most authentic Cuban restaurant I have ever eaten at! As many other people have stated this place is in the middle of a trailer park but it only makes things that more exciting! You think youre lost but end up having a fantastic Cuban meal. Its small, tight, no fans, no fancy table settings– just great food and great people. I came in short on time as I was on my lunch break from work nearby. We quickly sat down and were greated by a very sweet woman with a huge smile on her face who asked us how are day was and if she could get us anything to drink while we looked over the menu. I kindly told her that I was short on time but was very eager to try their food. I asked her to recommend me something from the menu and I would gladly try it. She offered the chicken fricasse, the chicken chicken braised w/potatoes, green olives, capers, bell peppers, tomato sauce, wine, garlic, & herbs. I said absolutely! I could tell they were trying to rush it for me and didnt mind it at all. The FOOD was amazing! It tasted so home-y and authentic. The chicken tasted awesome and the sauce was delicious. On the side were some tostones and wowowow, the best I have ever had. YUMMM. Everything went so well together. While I was chowing down a few people came to check on us to see if we liked the meal and if they could get us anything. I love family style resaurants. I always feel like I am eating in someone’s home where people are happy you are their and really want you to enjoy your meal. I hated having to rush through the meal. I cant wait to return and have a more relaxed meal, get dessert, and some Cuban coffee.

If you cook it, they will come. You’ll come to this off-the-beaten path restaurant in the community building of a trailer park development for reasons you can’t even fathom. You’ll turn up in their parking lot, not knowing for sure if it’s the right place. Foodies will arrive at their door as innocent as children, longing for Cuban food that you can’t find made old school anymore. Juana La Cubana is the Cocina Cubana of Dreams, where everything is house made and the Cuban Pork sandwiches are just perfect «Would you like to try the Cuban Sandwich,» they’ll say. «It’s only $ 8.95 per person.» You’ll pass over the money without even thinking about it; for it is money that you have and amazing Cuban cuisine that you lack. You’ll get the pernil, roast pork marinated in sour orange for a day that is slow cooked for hours and the juices, like magic waters, are saved to dip the meat in before serving. The Croquetas de Jamon are fresh made, not fried hours earlier and drying out all day in a warming oven, and are perfectly crunchy on the outside and smoky salty ham goodness on the inside. The black beans are fresh, even at the end of the day, and the rice is always soft and perfect. Plantains? Sized right and oh, my. Your memories will be so thick, you’ll have to brush them away from your faces. This is a family operation, and you are a welcome guest in la mejor cocina Cubana en la Florida. The one constant, through all the years in South Florida, has been Cuban cuisine. Florida has been rolled from swamps to skyscrapers by an army of steamrollers. It’s been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again. But Cuban cooking has marked the time. This restaurant, this authenticity, is a part of our past, y’all. It reminds us of all that once was good about what we eat at family run restaurants, and what could be again in a Florida drowning in McEateries. Ohhhhhhhh, people will come. People will most definitely come.

Wow, what a meal. We were in Florida for the week and wanted to try some authentic Cuban food. Thanks to Unilocal,we found an amazing place nestled inside a community center. The surrounding area is beautiful, with a small lake and clean facilities, nothing off-putting. After spending the week in Miami, we were more than happy with the cost and value of the food. We ordered three plates, two sides with café con leche and the bill only came out to $ 30. We got breakfast and lunch, at these prices that’s a steal! Tip — make sure to use the 10% off Unilocal coupon, they accept it with no hassle. I ordered the Tortas de Maduro, an omelette with potatoes, onions, pepper and plantains stuffed inside. My girlfriend ordered the famous Cuban sandwich, no mustard because she isn’t a fan but regardless, it was still amazing! The surprise that morning was the delicious Havana Potatoes that came with my Spanish Omelette, they had an epic combo of spices and herbs that molded perfectly with the potatoes. These are home fries on steroids! There was one slip-up with our meal which was quickly corrected by our server, who was incredibly polite and generous. She was handling a busy brunch shift by herself and she was doing a great job, by the time we had left the small venue was packed. Overall a great experience!

This place is a gem. Having to travel to Miami regularly for work, my colleagues and I intentionally fly into FLL on the 7:00am flight just so we can eat at Juana la Cubana for breakfast on the way to the client’s office. In agreement with the other reviews — the best Cuban sandwich I’ve ever eaten.

Juana La Cubana is hidden away in the recreation center of a large trailer park, which is mostly frequented by French Canadians. This hidden gem is less than two miles from my house, but I had never been before– until I read the Unilocal reviews. Wow! Just OMGAWESOME! In this humble recreation center resides the most amazing Cuban restaurant you’ll ever find in South Florida. It is *seriously* sandwich perfection! The quality of the press, cheese, ham, pork and refreshing pickles is beyond! This is truly special Cuban food and the hospitality and service is on point. Words don’t do this sandwich justice, go eat one and you’ll understand. My wife is presently 38 weeks pregnant and I brought her a Cuban sandwich from Juana the other day as a takeout order– it was so good my wife just drove herself to the restaurant and got another one! I’ve been told their fried cow is absolutely amazing too, so I’m looking forward to trying that one. The waitress that takes your order is very sweet as well and super attentive. One of the best restaurants in South Florida, easily.

This is another local gem. Thanks to my wife Amanda Y for finding this place(I assume thru Unilocal!). And only 3 minutes’ drive away from my house too! As I proceed with the direction, we found ourselves inside of a mobile park. I’d never thought there’s a restaurant inside. But as it turns out, the restaurant is located in the building of a community center. I lived in the area for more than 10 years and I never expected of this. It’s a small mom and pop Cuban restaurant. I think there might be half of a dozen of tables or so, but they do have a pretty extensive menu for a restaurant its size. There are so many good Cuban dishes I like, and I decided to try their Chicken Fricassee first. It’s a Cuban style of the French chicken stew with a bit of Latin flavor. Very tasty. My wife ordered her favorite Cuban Sandwich and she said it’s the best tasting Cuban Sandwich she ever had. The only thing she didn’t like was their fries. Maybe it was a bit under cooked because they were a little bit soggy. However, both dishes we ordered were yummy and very cheap! After the meal, I ordered my Cuban coffee(of course). It was a great way to end the meal. We have already gone back there again for breakfast before I had the chance to write this review. Their breakfast was pretty good too. I had their«The Traditional» which came with scramble eggs, bacon, potatoes and Cuban toasts. At first I thought the Cuban toasts were complimentary for every table, and was a little upset because we didn’t get any in our first visit. Then I realized they weren’t free… LOL! But I am so glad I ordered it because they were crunchy and delicious! Going back there again soon for sure!!!

No freakin’ joke. I travel weekly for work and by far my Top 10 restaurant in the country. Great Customer Service and the food is off the freakin scales. Tostones Rellenos as starters and then our cuban sandwiches were a grand slam. Waaay better Cuban sandwiches then I have ever had. If I could give 6 stars I would. The locals love this place!!! Regulars come in and hug the employees and nothing but smiles and cheers. The energy is very welcoming and I am for sure gping to come back here next time I visit Florida.

Being 17th on Top 100 Places to Eat in BPB and seeing my Unilocal friends many check ins put Juana La Cubana Café on my radar. When reading the reviews I did note that the restaurant was a bit hard to find, as it was located in the middle of a trailer park. «Daddy, where are you taking us», my kids said as we passed the little«Juana La Cubana Café» sign at the entrance to the trailer park. We definitely would have not found this place without Unilocal and without our GPS! Indeed, the trailer park is located on a beautiful lake. Juana La Cubana is a small room in a large building right by the lake. The two things that had stood out for me from the reviews I had read were the warmth of the staff and the Chicken Sandwich. Neither disappointed. Our server had the whole restaurant(as well as the cash register) but made us feel like we were siting in her own home. I immediately ordered a Café con Leche and it was large and delicious. When I ordered the Chicken Sandwich, our server raved with approval like I knew the secret handshake. What can be so good about a Chicken Sandwich? 1. Delicious warm toasty bread. 2. Tasty fresh marinated chicken 3. Appropriate ratio of bread to chicken. 3. Fresh lettuce &4. Potato sticks adding texture and crunch When I saw there were«potatoes» on the sandwich I was not sure what to expect! Husband and 10 year old got Cuban Sandwiches. They were full of meat and delicious. 12 year old had a Cheeseburger. It was not wonderful but I guess burgers are not their specialty. It was not too busy when we were there but it did take a while to get our food. I would not go there if you are in a rush. I do look forward to returning and trying more items(maybe Chicken Fricassee?).

This place is a real gem! For the record, they have, by far the best Cuban sandwich in Broward. I got take out hear last week after seeing rave Unilocal reviews. The place happens to be somewhat near my office in some kind of trailer park. Don’t let the neighborhood scare you away! The staff was friendly and the place was packed for lunch. I’m going to have to come again to write a more detailed review.(Not that I needed any convincing to try this place again.)

TLDR BREAKFAST — 4 stars for the food, 5 for the prices! But I have a feeling that if I came back for lunch I’d be bumping this up to 5 stars! Juana La Cubana, although boasting a solid 5 star average, has only been on my radar for a few weeks now. Considering the fact that it’s almost walking distance from my house, this may become my new go to! We arrived for a quick breakfast on a Sunday right at 9am when they opened. The staff was outside putting up the street side signs which definitely helps in finding the place. Located inside the«community center» of a mobile home community, do not be off put by the strange location, this truly is a gem in the rough. The breakfast menu is small, but offers all the staples, and we sampled the oatmeal, Cuban bread french toast, and the«traditional» — 2 eggs, sausage, potatoes and toast for a grand total of $ 19. Yes, 3 people, 3 breakfasts, 1 tea and 1 coffee for less than $ 20! Everything was very good, and I’m now convinced that Cuban bread is the only bread that french toast should be made from! Service was quick and attentive, and I can tell they run a well oiled machine here. The ambiance is somewhere between hole-in-the-wall and diner, but don’t let that put you off, as it only adds to the character of the place. A small restaurant, that can sit maybe 30? this is definitely a great spot to grab a lunch without any frills. PS — bring a sharpie so you can sign the wall while you eat ;)

Oh my goodness! This place made me so happy. Cuban food is one of my favorite cuisines. Let’s face it, most cuisines are my favorite. LOL. No, but seriously, I do really love Cuban food. My mom makes the best black beans and rice and I crave it sometimes. So I happened to be in Fort Lauderdale for a very quick trip and found myself so close to Cuba I could spit, so of course, I had to have as much as I could in the 2 days there. Juana La Cubana was the best rated and first on my list. It’s a tiny place in the middle of a typical South Florida mobile home park, complete with overly tan elderly ladies riding around on golf carts. It’s next to a waterway so there is a lovely view of water. I walk in the door and am immediately hit with that comforting smell of cuban spices and aromas. I instantly fell in love with the place. I am fortunate to be from So Calif where every type of food is available and to also be from a family with several types of heritages included amongst us. I do consider myself to be a foodie with a vast appreciation of several types of cuisines. Not in a snobby way at all because I love truck stop food just as much as I love a taco truck to just as much as a Michelin star fine dining establishment. Anyway, I digress. The place is small inside but super clean. I’m greeted by a very friendly lady who is the hostess/server. Throughout my short visit she calls me baby, darling, princess, sweetheart… I can’t resist terms of endearment. LOL. I ordered the lomo de puerco with black beans and rice and plantains. I also ordered their«world famous» Cuban sandwich to go, since I was headed out of town from there. The pork was super yummy, with the onions on top. Delish flavors. The black beans, oh the black beans, were soooooooooooooooo freaking good. I wish I had just that. I could have bathed in the soupiness. Probably the best black beans I’ve had besides my mom’s. Holy moly. The plantains were yummy too. Just soft and sweet with that carmelized flavor. Oh yes. I was a couple hours out of town, headed back to ChattTown when I couldn’t resist the smell of the Cuban sandwich any longer. OMFG… This was the BEST Cuban sandwich I’ve ever had. And this was after a couple of hours. Imagine how much better it tastes fresh. Not sure if I’ll ever be back down that way again, but you can be sure if I am, this will be my first stop. Seriously so good.

OMFG! Whoever said that nothing good comes out of a trailer park obviously has never eaten at Juana’s. Without exaggeration this is the best Cuban food I’ve ever had! I was tempted to lick my plate to get every last remnant of juice from my Vaca Frita. The salty garlicky beef was perfectly balanced by the Maduros(sweet plantains). Service is genuine as if you were family. Great prices and they take credit cards($ 8.00 minimum). The only complaint I have is they should be open 24⁄7 because I would eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner here!

Some possess a great treasure, but don’t realize it until it’s lost. Some have a treasure within their midst but because their eye’s are veiled, they see it not. Nestled in a mobile home park overlooking a placid lake, Juana la Cubana is located just north of Stirling rd in Hollywood. When I arrived at Juana la Cubana I heard the singing of birds and decided to follow the sound to its origin, which lead me to a captivating serene lake. At that moment all thought left me except for one, that I hope to god that the food is as good as this scene I’m beholding. The restaurant itself is small with an open kitchen. If I recall there’s about 5 tables and a communal counter table with six seats. The first visit I ordered Fricasse chicken: This dish was truly delicious, it was spicy, loaded with potato’s and vegetables that were smothered with delectable gravy. The holy trinity of food in my book. 4.0STARS On my second visit I think the celestial stars were auspiciously aligned or the God’s looked upon me with favor. I happened to order chicken steak with rice and beans, but that’s not what I was served. Somehow the server misunderstood what I ordered and she brought me a Cuban Chicken sandwich with fries. When I informed her this is not what I ordered, she insisted she take it back but I said no I’ll keep it. OMG…OMG…this sandwich was surreal, totally delicious scrumptious! I’ve had Cuban sandwiches before but nothing like this. Soft warm bread, savory caramelized onions, even the lightly salted fries were perfect in temperature and texture. The sandwich and fries were so satisfying I ordered another one to go and ate it immediately when I returned to my car. I wouldn’t doubt if Zeus himself disguised himself as a human just so he could come and partake of this Cuban sandwich! 5.0STARS My friends this is one treasure I’m going to appreciate! The veil has been lifted from my eyes! ++The service is warm and friendly, they make you feel like family, I saw a few hugs and kisses. ++They take all CC’s. – they don’t have the orange juice extracting machine that’s typical in Cuban restaurants

As someone whose had homemade Cuban food growing up the food I tasted was okay. I ordered the Vaca Frita, tostones and black beans with rice. There was not enough flavor in the black beans and the Vaca frita was salty. The restaurant is located near a residential area. What’s neat is that you can write a message on their restaurant walls.
