Jos. A. Bank

I have purchased several suits from Jos A Banks, and currently just bought several shirts as they are good quality and reasonably priced. I had been looking online at some of the deals and unaware of how they would fit so I decided to go into the store before continuing my shopping. When I walked in on Sunday, a tall white male and bald, was reluctant to assist me. I asked if they do measurements here because I have gone to the store in plantation to get fitted for a tux for my friends wedding and wanted to make sure this store would do the same. His reply was only if you purchase a suit. I said I was very interested in purchasing one but I like to do research before I buy. After picking out the color of the suit I liked I asked if I could try on some pants and get an idea how they would fit and if I could do slim fit or not. The gentleman said we would only do that if I was purchasing the suit today. He really just would not assist me unless I guaranteed a purchase. This is not the service I am accustom to with Jos A Banks. The service here was horrible and I would rather take the extra 20 minutes and drive out west to Plantation then go back there where you are only helped after you make a purchase. I do not recommend going there for anything as they make you feel uncomfortable and forced into making a decision without knowing if it looks good on you are not.

The tall, bald guy in his 50s or 60s (don’t know his name) who was working here tonight, 4/​15, around 8pm, was very unwelcoming of us.
We are two women, and we sometimes wear men’s clothing. We were just beginning to browse the clothes. When he heard us commenting between ourselves about how the clothes would suit us, he remarked «these are men’s clothes.»
Well, no sh#t, Sherlock! He either thought we were morons who can’t tell we’re in a men’s clothing store (doubtful), or he wanted to interject with some sort of snarky remark, or he sincerely was trying to explain why the clothes might not fit us (which is not what we are discussing).
I wanted to give this guy the benefit of the doubt, so we said that we don’t like to wear dresses, and joked that as long as it’s «okay,» we like to wear men’s clothes.
This guy said nothing in response. Very awkward. Obviously a very judgemental employee that has been hired.
My money is worth just as much as anyone else’s. I’ll spend it elsewhere then.
It’s a shame too, because we’re currently shopping for our wedding outfits, which will not be dresses. See ya!

Ordered the rental from one store, and picked up from this store.
I will start by saying the rental fit great. They did a god job there. However when I was trying it on, it had wrinkles on the suit jacket, vest and pants. Enough to where I said something to the manager, who told me just to get it dry cleaned before the event. Well, the event was 2 days away and I don’t know many places in the Ft Lauderdale that could do this. Upsetting, not the answer I was looking for. Again, the rental was nice, fit nice, but they just didn’t care how it looked. Wont be returning to a Jos A Bank anytime soon.

Extremely u satisfied. Crappy suits and crappy tailoring. Altered my clothing incorrectly which caused my pants to rip I. Public. They will not give me my money back

Had moved to Ft. Lauderdale and clothes were in transit and I had to make a spur of the moment bus. trip to Europe which required a sport jacket. Didn’t really need any so wanted cheap and presentable. Been to these stores before and service can be hit or miss. But this was a HIT. John Birsky was one of those old school retail guys that knew your size by looking at you, quickly determined your taste, and gave great advise. In 15 mins. I had two sport coats, three shirts and a belt for $ 440. Such a rare treat and my heartfelt thanks goes to John, that real pro who takes his job as a serious art.

JoS. A. Bank is a large retail clothing, basically men’s store. This particular store is located in the Palm Court of the Galleria Mall on Sunrise in Fort Lauderdale. As such, it’s better than many of their other outlets in having the latest of fashion as well as some of the better of the JoS. A. Bank customer staff.
Though their clothing is nowhere near the line of the more exclusive men’s clothiers such as Maus and Hoffman and the fact that you won’t find brands like Kiton, Baroni or the really high end custom tailored or designer items, their shirts, sport coats, suits and other such are in fact of very good quality and more reasonably priced for what you get than you’ll find in generalized department stores.
I’ve been here several times and have always had the best of competent, polite, helpful service.
