This is my preferred gas station. It’s got the cheapest gas (cash price), is family owned, senior friendly, & has mesmerizing old school pumps.
How do they manage to keep prices low? They don’t have a convenience store, big overhang, or a ton of employees. They only have the necessary: quality gas at low prices and friendly folks. There’s always someone to assist you outisde — rain or shine.
I mentioned senior friendly because they will happily pump your has for you if you ask (great for those with limited mobility or arthritis). I usually visit at night after work. I always feel safe and have a nice conversation with the attendant.
Another plus: 40 cent sodas from the outdoor vending machines and the hoses reach to either side of your car so it doesn’t matter what side you park on, just find an open pump.

What can I say about an archaeological site. This gas station came with it’s own historical plaque and a tour bus to view the ancients. Well maybe not… but that’s how it feels to still get a friendly smiling attendant (even though he/​she is outside in 90 degree weather or pouring rain) which is rare these days at any gas station especially one that is straight out of the 60’s. My ONLY gripe is the lack of a canopy to cover you on really hot or rainy days while you’re at the pump… ok well maybe the occasional line waiting on the one single clerk working to charge 4,000,032 people waiting in line would be a second.

This station is that old school gas station where they take your money outside and the pump isn’t digital. I like coming here because the staff is friendly, the gas is affordable and it makes me feel like I’m in the 60’s or something like that when things were simpler.

There’s not many mom and pop gas stations anymore where people help you pump your gas. If you’ve never gotten the experience of one, head over to this Hess station. It might take a few mins to wait in line (at peak hours) but these old pumps are super fast. There is always a friendly attendant to help you, rain or shine. Although they are not 24hours, it’s nice to know a person can go somewhere to pump gas late at night and not be freaked out about being alone.
