Dirty rink & floor… glad I had my own skates, rental skates looked nasty. Parking? What parking? Got lucky and parked down the street. Too many babies, kids, whatever up after midnight! Will have to find a better rink when I visit Ft. Lauderdale. Basically, I didn’t get to skate much, or as get that tired feeling when I left. It is like they skate like they drive & don’t watch where they are going. This rink, I went on Wednesday night, was just hood… I cannot get over how dirty the carpet was & skate floor… and the parking! The people seem nice, but just not enough skate etiquette, people mostly kids, falling all over the place. They should, have an adult skate night. The night I went was ladies night, but too many elementary kids came with… I’m just saying…

You would think that it being one of the few roller rinks, the Gold Coast Roller Skating Rink would stand out. In reality, the dingy skating ring does — and for the wrong reasons. — It’s antiquated and the rink is very sparsely decorated — An employee smelled heavily like smoke — The parking lot is what… a gravel lot? And behind the building — you’d never know that there’s really any parking. — The skating shoes — the 4 wheel derby skates were the most uncomfortable skates I’ve ever put on. And in my drive to have the most fun as possible despite the discomfort really paid off… … with my first ever blood blister. EW. At least the skates didn’t stink too bad despite their apparent overuse.
