Worst place EVER to get a Hair cut! Avoid this place, unless you want to have your hair butchered!
It’s a shame how this place, which use to be a really good local barber shop to go to on the Gault Ocean Mile, has fallen. This use to be a place where you could get a good hair cut, the barber (s) on duty were nice and professional and knew how to cut a man’s hair properly.
I went to this establishment after having been gone from the local area for several years, I found out that the owner had unfortunately passed away a while back and is now being operated by a different staff (That should have been a MAJOR Red Flag right there and I should have walked away, but I needed a haircut).
On the Monday afternoon I went into the establishment, there were two women working. One was a blonde and the other was an Asian woman who, it turns out, barely speak a word of English and was VERY hard to understand her (Another Red Flag). Unfortunately, since I was in a hurry? I ended up getting stuck with her cutting my hair… she assured me that she know how to cut hair and had been doing it for a long time. Well, it turns out, she (the Asian woman) is a HORRIBLE BARBER and should never have been given a license to cut hair!!! Not only did I have to repeat myself several times as to how I wanted my hair cut (after the third time of repeating myself to her I was beginning to get seriously annoyed!), but the haircut I paid for was a total rip-​off!!!
The fact that I went back to the establishment to make a complaint and to see if I could get my botched haircut evened out and fixed to where it looked professional… only to end up having to deal with the same «individual» who cut my hair and on top of all that couldn’t understand what it was I was trying to say (in a polite manner no less), made me angry. I now have to end up going to another more reputable Barber Shop in the area to get my hair cut properly thanks to Gault Ocean Barber Shop doing SUCH a horrendous job and employing a person who has NO right whatsoever to be cutting peoples hair much less own a license to cut hair!!!
Avoid this place, if you are smart.
