AMAZING!!! Best place for cuban coffee around! no credit card machine so bring cash! No wifi, they encourage you to converse with eachother.

The only thing I like about this place is the Cuban Coffee… The food is very basic Cuban… And not done very well. I will not be coming back here. I’ve tried it 3 times now, 3 different meals, and all tasted boring and greasy… Not going back!

Solid, homemade food. No frills, affordable and tasty… my favorite kind of place. Mom and pop shop, no wifi(they encourage people to talk to each other for a change) with a small, hardworking staff. Be patient — there’s only two people, but it’s worth it. Very limited parking but you can always just park and walk over from Home Depot.

Very home style! Definitely a dive! I felt like I was at friends family’s house and their parents were cooking. The food was really good. I had the medianoche and it was great! We also had some croquettes and were fresh at 11am. The only downside if it’s full it’s takes forever. Overall it was a great place for brunch

Service was great and ever personalize for some of our wants. The food was good, but not awesome! It was definitely made to order. Small family owned and the service reflected that. I prefer the lunch menu vs the breakfast menu. I will definitely go back! It’s like eating at my grandma’s house!

South Florida has many local places offering good cuban cuisine. However, the very good places tend to be either expensive or too shabby. But this place offers really excellent food and service at low café pricing. Most of the sandwiches are between 5.99 and 8.99. In case you have a vegetarian friend, they do have a veggie sandwich as well. And importantly, clean restrooms :)

I had the Cuban sandwich and hibby had the Saturday special of bistek, eggs, and potatoes. The kids also had the croissant with ham and egg. The meat in my Cuban sandwich was dry and did not taste fresh. There was too much mustard as well. The special was ok, nothing to write home about. The ladies were nice so I added 1 star but overall just 2 stars for food.

Since my initial lunch review of Frida & Sharo, I’ve come back about a dozen times for their breakfast so that should summarize how I feel about this place. I’m in love with their Cuban-style potatoes, so much so that I pop in at least once a week to get my fill. Of course, the Cuban bread & café con leche are still going strong & part of my weekly order as well. My family was in town for a long weekend & I brought them here on two occasions during their visit & they went back to Texas with a new found love for Cuban food.

F&S is a lovely little neighborhood diner which we have been meaning to try for a while. We visited late on a Saturday morning and were happy that there were breakfast options and lunch options available as we wanted different things! I had an excellent steak sandwich — total comfort food — steak, tomato, lettuce, mayo, and potato sticks. Super yummy with a cortado. Breakfasts are simple and great value. The menu is very basic, a few sandwiches, a few breakfast options. During the week they have hot lunch specials. I will be back!

This place is cheap, but it’s a total dump and the food is just ‘OK’. Home cooking by people who barely know how to cook. Bumper car parking in the rear.

I know an honest and good food when I come across it and this place has it, nothing fancy but fresh and flavorful. We try to eat there each time we visit Florida.

Good breakfast place. Haven’t had anything else here. But definitely a clean well kept diner, you can tell the owners care. I look forward to trying lunch here one day.

Om Nom Nom! These ladies know how to cook Cuban style pork! Make sure you order it whether for breakfast or lunch. The other food is all consistently good — but their pork — OMG! I cannot say enough! It doesn’t matter how it comes — just make sure you don’t leave without trying it!

My go-to place for Cuban sandwiches and terrific coffee. My favorite meal combination is the pan con croqueta preparado(prepared croquette sandwich, ham and cheese) and a large café con leche. The pickles from the sandwich give it a nice zing in every bite. These ladies really know what they’re doing. Speaking of which, the service at this place is amazing. They’re always smiling and take the time to ask about your day no matter how busy they may be. Oh, they also do catering so the next time you want to give your co-workers or family a nice treat, bring them something special from Frida & Sharo. The café con leche alone should be enough to get you that promotion at work. Well, to be safe you should probably throw in some empanadas or dessert too. ;)

Visually unimpressive from the outside as well as from the inside, Frida and Sharo can be a real fooler since the excellent well prepared food and earthy friendly service more than makes up for any of its short comings in appearance. It bills itself as specializing in Cuban cuisine and though only deals in some of the more simple of Cuban dishes, what I had was not only the real thing but delicious as well. I went for their appetizer of a shrimp and fish in lime«Sauer crème» ceviche which came in bowl with spoon and crackers served soup style. The only other place I’ve ever had it served that style or similar taste was in Cuba itself. I also had a meat sandwich which came in an ultra-thin crisp crust Cuban bread roll with the inside packed not only with grilled meat, lettuce and tomato but also topped off with what were near julienne strips of potato that had been very nicely French fried. Frida and Sharo(derived from the names of the owner’s pets) has menu lunch specials listed Monday through Friday and posted specials on Saturdays. On Sundays they are closed.

I’m leaving this review begrudgingly. Selfish me knows parking is limited and it’s a very small operation not suitable for large crowds. The more gracious me needs to give credit where credit is due. The food is authentic and prepared from the heart. If you’re more interested in authenticity than ambiance, you should check it out. Be careful where you park. The tile store people next door aren’t very forgiving of accidentally using one of their spots.

I come here every work morning for my breakfast, the girls make the best home made cuban eggs, pan and cortadito. Again, this is a True cuban mom and pop restaurant so dont expect the all American breakfast. Believe it or not there’s other countries in the world and the best part we don’t all have Eggs, toast and links for breakfast. the lunch special is also my favorite on Thursdays they have grilled chicken, moros which is rice and beans or yellow rice and Yuca for the amazing price of 6 dollars. can you beat it? lol on Saturday they have anything you want on their menu a la carta. for 10 bucks depending on what you order. Ropa vieja(shredded beaf) chicken w onions or beef. If you want something better than a rock star, red bull or 5 hour energy and probably alot healthier get their«cortadito» it gets me through anything all day. may be a bit addicted fyi
