I came here for breakfast and it was really yummy. Everyone here is really friendly and the service is great. We spent $ 25 on a huge breakfast for two.

Adorable diner with great food. My husband and I go here often. Excellent service and fast seating even when they’re packed. Love it!

Great diner with friendly staff and fast service. It’s exactly what we were looking for. The food is fine, nothing special, as should be expected with a diner. It’s a larger diner, so it can accommodate many people. Prices are affordable and they offered a free tomato when we said we didn’t want toast, which we thought was very kind. I will say the food could have been of higher quality. It’s a diner, so I’m not knocking too much down for this, but product quality goes a long way. I would definitely go here again for a no-fuss, quick breakfast. I’m always a fan of places that have some veggies I can have in an omelette instead of just meat and cheese. And the shredded hash browns that get all crispy brown! Yes, diner food is good!

A very good diner. The staff is friendly. The menu is large and includes lunches like stuffed peppers and meatballs and spaghetti. I loved the diner look and all the roosters on the shelves. Compared to our hotel breakfast yesterday it was as good for half the price.

From a bad experience at a hotel, to this place, night and day. The waitresses are the best here. Even to out of towners like us. Food is cheap, compared to the expensive FT Lauderdale strip food. IFYOUAREINFTLAUDERDALECOMEHERE!!!

As mentioned by many other reviewers, this is a quick-turnover style diner with friendly service(5⁄5), but you’ll need to keep your expectations low to enjoy the food(2.5÷5). I had a chicken-fried steak and eggs. Everything was cooked competently, but they don’t really start out with amazing ingredients, so the food here is unlikely to ever reach the stars. The hash brown was chewy – they serve the kind that sits on one end of the flat top all day. It’s not bad here, but it’s also not anything worth writing home about. Our server Wanda was lovely.

We experienced an issue of a bug crawling on our food and was professional about it and discretely told our server about it. She came to take the burger and once it was re-cooked the manager brought it out and very unprofessionally and loudly stated here’s your new burger and by the way that was not a bug on your burger because we don’t have bugs. Very embarrassing and rude. We have been here before this but we won’t be back.

By far one of the best breakfast spots you can go to in the Fort Lauderdale area if you were ever going down US one Federal highway between sunrise and Oakland Park and you have a hankering for some breakfast you need to stop at this place. I told the waitress how I love me some biscuits and gravy and she made it her personal mission to stuff me full of the stuff. Really really really good biscuits and gravy. And if I haven’t mentioned it before, you should try the biscuits and gravy

This is the best breakfast spot I have been to in South Florida. The food was great, Lisa, our waitress, was great, and I can’t wait to go back. We had a gyro/Greek omelette and pancakes which were some of the tastiest pancakes I have had in awhile. If you get biscuits, asked for them grilled!!! Delicious!

It’s a diner, its not fine dining. Good food, served quickly and pleasantly. Those are the only real requirements. EGGANDYOU, revisited executed very well. The pancakes are fluffy, tender ave bursting with fresh blueberries. Tender pancakes are a rarity and these very good. The burger and eggs are nothing special, but they are tasty. The burger was a little tough, and maybe a tad over charred, but it’s not a deal breaker. The biscuit was moist and very flavorful; I may have to come back soon and have them smothered in gravy. This is a place that gets really busy on the weekends with the local crowd, have some patience service is fast and friendly and you won’t have to wait too long to stuff your face with blueberry goodness.

Diner feel for sure which is always nice. Both my wife and I got Eggs Benedict with home fries. Eggs were slightly over done, ham was good, home fries were tasty and the Hollandaise sause was really good and the other st thing. Pancakes were fine nothing crazy to report there. Service was quick. Coffee was watered down and not very strong. Wouldn’t have an issue going back but wouldn’t be the top pick by any stretch.

This is a nice local spot, with good atmosphere and history. Unfortunately the last time I went my western omlet came out visibly burnt to a crisp. I can’t even really believe they would send out food that looked like that. I will look elsewhere for another go-to breakfast spot.

Not a bad breakfast diner. The food is good and comes out fast, the service isn’t bad either! I’ve been here several times, and everything is always consistent. I’ve always been here for breakfast, so I think I need to try it for dinner and see how it tastes.

As long as I’ve lived in Fort Lauderdale, and driven past this place, I had never been there until recently. And granted, I’ve only been there once, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was around New Years, so pretty much every food joint was busy for breakfast that week. I honestly checked 2 other diners, and they were too packed for me to bother waiting for a seat. But as I walked in to Egg & You, I took a quick glance and thought«nah, this place is too packed.» But just as that thought went through my head, a waitress walked up to me and my father and asked«2 you today?» VERY surprised at how fast we got approached, AND that there was a table open. But, we went to our table, sat and had a really good breakfast. Granted it’s a diner style menu, but everything was good. This place is a great local diner, and I say it’s totally worth a try if you’re looking to avoid the standard national chain that you’ve gone to before. I was surprised at how big the place was, and it was also good and clean. It didn’t seem dirty at all, there were no odd smells, and despite being busy, even our table was clean as we were seated.

The service here is far from good. I think the server served a few others before us because she knew them. As for the food, it was pretty disappointing. Eggs were overdone and didn’t have much cheese.

This is an old time diner that takes me back in time. They have the crusty but incredible waitress that fills your coffee with glee. Food is basic and awesome. Coffee is exceptional. Large eggs and choice of grits or hash browns is there anything else I have to say? If you are in lauderdale this is a must for breakfast unless you are the quiche and dry toast type.

Customer service: FIVE stars! Food: 3 stars I’ve passed by this place for years and was always drawn to the vintage signage posted outside. Finally stopped in for Sunday breakfast a few weeks ago. At first glance the place looks small but there’s actually a hallway with a bigger dining area toward the back. The place was packed with families, couples of all types, friends and singles enjoying their breakfast. Our server was just amazing. She knew a lot of the guests by name. She was warm, friendly and knew that menu like the back of her hand. She did not once let our glasses get halfway empty. Excellent service! Food was pretty good. Eggs florentine was tasty. My boys county fried chicken was good but the gravy was a bit thin and didn’t taste homemade. We tried a bagel and it was average. Coffee was really good. All in all, we would return again but it’s not the kind of place I would drive 40 minutes to get to. But you should try it!

I was hoping for tasty brunch but it was disappointing. They had Spanish omelette on special so I asked what’s inside. The waitress explained that it’s with onions and peppers, sounds good to me! However when it arrived it looked horrible. The omelette was almost swimming in spicy tomato sauce and olives(the sauce was both inside and on top). The hash browns were extremely dry and overcooked, looked unappetizing. I could barely eat 1⁄3 of the omelette but couldn’t force myself to eat hasbrowns. They just tasted wrong. My husbands Eggs Benedict were overcooked(the yolk was not runny), and the waitress explained that this dish does not come with toast(as all other dishes do) because the bread is already underneath the egg! What a joke. It would be an insult to my mom to say that this food tastes homemade.

If you want a good hearty breakfast with really friendly service and at a really decent price this is the spot for you. No it’s not Southbeach no glitz no glam. I really enjoy coming here with my family or alone it’s always consistent. My usual is the Polish sausage with eggs over easy and hash browns and it’s always a winner in my book.
