I’ve been coming to Christina Wan’s for about 6+ years now. It’s always consistently very good, not greasy or heavy, with good quality ingredients. We drive down from the West Palm Beach area to eat here regularly. I can honestly say that after 15 years of living in the Palm Beach area I have yet to find a Chinese restaurant as good as Christina Wan’s. If you’re looking for overly deep-fried foods or sauces that come straight from a can, than this is NOT the place for you. The recipes consist of traditional American Chinese specialties that have been carefully crafted over the years. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone seeking a good Chnese experience in he tried-county area.

Perfext easy well-made Chinese and best your gonna get in Florida unless you go for dumplings. Yes, it’s definitely overpriced for Chinese food but hey it’s supply and demand. Christina is nice pleasant and talented and a good hostess and they take special requests.

Excellent local Chinese restaurant, long time in business, friendly service and extensive menu. Everything seems to be cooked fresh since they are willing to adjust menu items to taste, my local go to convenient to downtown and Victoria Park.

I really wanted to like this place, I love Chinese food. This is close to my apartment. I called in to order and asked for her best soup and chicken dish. Both of them were lacking flavor. The soup was like sipping hot water; the noodles were nasty. With the chicken and veggie dish, I had to dunk everything in hot mustard to get some kind of flavor. To be fair, their food had good pieces of meat and veggies that actually looked like meat and veggies(you know how bad Chinese food can be). I’m debating whether I should give this place a second try.

I wasn’t impressed. And I REALLY wanted to like this place. It’s one of the only Chinese places is east Broward that has a full bar and a menu with all the classics. I found that Service was good and menu had a lot of variety. However the food just wasn’t that great. Orange chicken was overcooked, over-breaded and had barely any sauce. Hot and sour soup was flavorless and«greasy». I just didn’t feel the food was worth the price.

I really want to four star this, but I can’t. The service was great. The owner was kind. The menu was full of everything you want. But the food? It was okay. Nothing great, but everything was just good enough. We got many, many items and the verdict was the same for everything. Just good enough. This was our second time here, and we will likely come back. If they go up one notch in quality it will likely pay off. Very good value overall(regarding pricing).

We got the veggie spring rolls and the crab Rangoon rolls for apps, both were as good as they get. Sunset dinner is a must come before 630 and very good deal but the kicker here is the exceptional service!

I had delivery from them– The delivery was very fast — I was not overly impressed by their food– Mediocre for $ 75 plus tip for three entrée’s three won ton soups and an appetizer was a little bit on the higher side. I doubt I would go out of my way to order from here again.

We have been dining(and taking out) here for several years so I thought they deserve a review. Simply put they offer exceptional food served by friendly and attentive staff all in a comfortable atmosphere. Christina visits our table every time(every Sunday night) we eat there. A lost tradition of showing appreciation for our patronage. My only problem is that I order the same thing every time I eat there!

I don’t do many 1 star reviews but the meal we just had deserves one. Spring rolls: thick and limp batter, inside was mush that felt like all the ingredients went through a blender. Taste was zero. Not good, not bad, there was no taste. 1 bite, the rest were left behind. Fried pork dumplings: thick, chewy outside, mush inside. Hardly saw a frying pan. We each took one bite and pushed them aside. Roast duck: not crispy, not even approaching a firm skin. Thin skin, no fat, cheap duck. No taste, could have been anything. Each of us took a bite and left the rest. Pork fried rice: right off a steam table. Absolutely nothing to do with fried rice. Over cooked mush. Not a crisp ingredient to be found. I could mash the carrots with my tongue. The rest was a total unknown. Just an amalgam of whatever they put in it. A few bites, left the rest. There’s absolutely no excuse for such a poor meal. Broward is pretty thin on decent Oriental restaurants(on the east side). But you can essentially go anywhere, including chains, and eat much better. Service was excellent. Price was low.

Nothing compares in Ft Lauderdale for Christina WANs. Great flavors, unique dishes, wonderful lunch specials., and a very clean inviting atmosphere. Very spacious and a wonderful host to make sure your needs are taken care of. I have been coming here for years and it is a staple of Downtown Ft Lauderdale dining and will continue to be for years.

Seriously the best Chinese food in town! I have been searching for my go to Chinese spot for a long time. I haven’t been able to find anywhere that has crispy honey chicken and finally found my new spot and the crispy honey chicken is on point! I can’t believe it has taken me this long but better late then never!

This was a great recommendation from a family member. Our party of 5 stopped in on a Saturday night around 530. Obviously it was not busy. The owner was at the door to great us with a friendly attitude. We were sat at our table and given water and noodles right away. Our waiter was fast, attentive, friendly, and even had a sense of humor. As the restaurant got busier, our service remained just as good. There were plenty of people working there so I do not think the service would be bad because of how many people they have working. They serve the wide noodles which were not greasy at all. They were actually a bit dry and soft. They tasted great but it just was not the texture I am used to. The duck sauce and mustard were very good. I got wonton soup and it was up there with the best ones I’ve had. Not too salty or overpowering flavor. I ordered a dish I never had before. It was awesome. It was a crispy beef and pepper dish and they serve it with a choice of white or brown rice. I had the brown rice and it was really good. Everything about the dish was great. Everyone else loved their meal. The place is very clean inside and smells clean too. The prices are just a tad more than usual but the quality and service is worth the extra.

Really really yummy Chinese food. Same owners as temple street eatery right next to it in the freshmarket plaza.

My friend and I have been eating here almost every Saturday night for years now. It has become sort of a routine or tradition. The food is always wonderful and the service is great. portion size is perfect and the food is always fresh. it is worth noting that the majority of the staff have been the same for the entire time we have been going, which says a lot about the management. This is the place for a nice dining experience. See you on Saturday =)

Sunset menu 5 – 6:30 pm. I went for dinner on a Tuesday night at 5:30pm and there were only 4 other tables with diners. I think the weekends get much busier. I ordered the veggie spring rolls to start for $ 3(2 rolls). They were very good. They also give you complimentary fried noodles with a sweet duck sauce and a spicy mustard sauce. I had the chicken egg foo young. They give you three large patties with a bowl of brown gravy. You get your choice of brown or white rice for $ 13. Serving is large and very tasty. However, you don’t get an egg roll or soup with the meal. The ambiance is very classy with table clothes and linen napkins. Service was excellent. They were constantly filling my water and available if I needed anything. There is plenty of parking in the attached parking lot. It is located in a strip mall next to Winn Dixie. I thought the food was good, but it is a little pricey. Make sure you go for the sunset menu for better value. I didn’t order off sunset menu because egg-foo young was not on it. They only have about 10 items on that menu. Check their website for menu.

We have been here over a handful of times and are always disappointed. When we first moved to FL we found Christina Wans and were excited to have a great Chinese restaurant so close to home. Each time we dined here one of us if not both would get a disappointing dish. But this last time we had dinner here it was beyond horrible and we decided we won’t be back. Looking at the menu nothing was really popping out to us and since we had never tried their appetizer menu we thought we would just get an assortment of items to try. Starting with Wonton Soup and Hot & Sour Soup both lacked flavor and texture. The Wonton Soup has pork wontons that were mushy and extremely under seasoned in a bland broth. Next we had the Seaweed Salad, this was in a bed of water. The whole salad was very wet and not enjoyable. The Ha Gow(steamed shrimp dumplings) and Pork Dumplings were cooked well but also lacked any kind of flavor. In the past we have had their Beef Lo Mein that was good the first time we ordered but then was very greasy next time ordered. Also, the Vegetarian Delight, General’s Chicken, Ma Pow Tofu, Crab Rangoon’s, and Egg Drop Soup all of which have been disappointing. So to say the least the food is not desirable. Service is nothing amazing, from time to time you have to flag someone down. For the price you pay you would expect quality and enjoyable dishes. I would not recommend dining here.

We ordered delivery to our hotel as there weren’t many places to eat close by. I found the restaurant online and looked at their menu. The person who answered the phone wasn’t overly friendly but our hotel was in their delivery area so that was good. The food arrived about 45 minutes after we called. We ordered a small wonton soup which came with lots of wonton chips and about 3 wontons, shrimp fried rice, and sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was deep fried and came with sweet and sour sauce and came with white rice. There was a lot of chicken and the fried rice has decent amount of shrimp. Too much food for dinner as we had leftover fried rice. Good food for about $ 30 and glad they delivered to our hotel for free as well.
