This is my first Unilocal review not because others don’t deserve a review but I just haven’t taken the time. This little hole in the wall quaint dive bar has a different standard. The live music with Anthony Corrados playing 8 different instruments from sax to banjo was amazing. Several members of the audience joined in and were equally as talented; one a base player, trumpet player and another singer. Happy hour is from 4pm till 7pm with half priced appetizers, beer, wine and well drinks. The appetizers were really good. I would recommend the cheese plate and crab stuffed mushrooms for sure. The sliders smelled amazing but there was no more room! We will be back for another go at this place. The music is fantastic and the people at the bar were super friendly.

Wanted to give three stars however the food was basic and over priced bar food! The live band had me out of my seat! Had a blast!

I wanted to give a five stars to this place since music was great and the pizza tasted good but… I made a reservation for 4 at 8pm, we arrived early and was sat in the far back table with poor view, I asked the waitress if we could get any of the better tables that were empty and she said each table was already reserved. The table was not clean and a glass with a left over was at the table, a few minutes later I asked another waitress if we could move and she say«sure», so we finally got the table we wanted but the other waitress put a long face. We ordered a bottle of Stag’s Leap Artemis($ 84) which is the best option for the price IMO, and they didn’t have it, so my friends ordered cocktails and fortunately I have brought my own wine($ 25 corked fee, which is a bit pricey). Later our waitress(which was nice to us all night) said that she had to close out our tap since it was the only table she had and she needed to go, so we paid and stay a bit longer for the music. Guess who came to «help us», the waitress with the long face that didn’t want us to change table… The fist thing she said to me was«you can’t spilt inside our wine glasses»(she thought it was tobacco chew inside) so I explained the black things inside the glass was sediment from the agin of the wine. In addition to all that she never realized that the wine glasses were ours. I complain to the owner about all this but she called up the waitress and did a shot trial which I felt uncomfortable since the waitress found a justification for everything. We drove one hour to know this place and no sure if we’ll come back, I don’t want to be «helped by the rude waitress again»…

Stumbled in here entirely accidentally after a beautiful romantic al fresco dinner at nearby La Dolce Vita with the hubby. What an adventure! Was immediately hit smack in the face with one of the best blues bar vibes ever. Coming from Miami, that’s a lot to say! It’s old school blues tonight, and five stars all the way for top notch band & Aretha style singer. She’s not just a singer, she’s a full scale rockin’ entertainer.(Check the video) the audience lovefest says it all. She’s got the room in the palm of her hand & it’s mesmerizing. How lucky to find this on the final day of our all too short impromptu CT winter getaway. I didn’t need more alcohol after a nice bottle of wine with a high end Italian dinner, but hey. Price of admission to sit & listen is a glass of house merlot. No problem even if I spill it all, lol. There is dancing if that’s your inclination. And dance, we did! Kudos for a hot spot with a bright talent in the area. Don’t miss this gal & her band killing it on Tuesdays eves. Electrifying.

Worst place to go to in South Florida. They don’t play blues, music is terrible and staff are rude. Avoid this sad excuse for a bar.

Ducked in with a couple of blonde hotties for a drink and a slice and it was a fine time, here’s why: * I had never been. SCORE! * Live Blues /Jazz type of band * Cozy * Intimate * Lots of metered parking nearby * In a mini-nightlife area So we had some drinks, we danced a bit, and we had some eats. The Vegetarian Pizza was outstanding. Some of the best pizza I’ve had in awhile. The Chicken Caesar Salad was massive and tasty. Busy place on a Monday night. Good stuff, Cabeza OUT!

While visiting my dad his girlfriend asked me if I wanted to join them at a local club to listen to her friend Debbie Orta sing. I like a good jazz club and decided to join them that evening. Blue Jean Blues is a small club in a strip mall off N Ocean Blvd in Ft. Lauderdale. They cater to many different musical tastes. Jazz one night, blues the next with a little rock & roll thrown in too. On Wednesday nights jazz drummer Danny Berger puts together a different combo from week to week. Both times I went Debbie Orta was singing. I got there in time for happy hour and discovered that the IPA I was drinking was half price not a bad deal. They have typical bar type food, pizzas, burgers, wraps, salads etc. The chicken Caesar wrap I had was very good as well as the burger I had on my first visit. Fries and coleslaw also were included. I like this club and will probably become a regular once I relocate to the area.

Looking for blues while in Fort Lauderdale? Then look no further than Blue Jean Blues bar. We were turned on to this place by a server in another restaurant when we asked where we could hear some live music. Little did we know it would be one of our favorite evenings while in FLL! Unfortunately, we got here at the end of the night so we had only about an hour of music before the band packed up and left. But what we did hear was great and we even got to dance when a couple of the regulars grabbed my friends and me and took us for a spin around the dance floor! The bartender was great! He was funny and warmly welcomed us even though it was clear he knew all the regulars at the bar(this place has a loyal following and not too many tourists as it is pretty far off the strip). He also poured a great drink and was super accommodating when my. Friends asked. Him to concoct something close to their favorite cocktail. There was no cover on the night we were there(or maybe it was because we were a little late in the night) and the band played everything from blues to oldies. And they serve food(saw a lot of pizzas coming out) but given we had just eaten we didn’t try anything. There is plenty of cheap parking right out front on the street(about 50 cents an hour!) and there are a few other bars in the area as well if you want to move around. But I’d suggest you make a night of it here! A super fun night in FLL!

Sat at the bar for two hours and never got our food. Listen mistakes happen. The band was awesome. Probably why we sat for two hours. The girls behind the bar… So cute, blonde, nice black dresses, clueless. Asked three times about our food. Blamed each other. All in all, got our pizza. Really good. We will be back. Stay on top of your order!

The entertainment is always of quality, experienced and professional. On the other hand, the restaurant and bar operation is lacking and on many occasions is confusing to the newcomer. This establishment caters to local regulars first. Even to the extent of shunning newbies without explanation. A good sign of success is consistency and professionalism both of which we did not find at Bluejean Blues. This is of course my educated opinion only. I personally tried to enjoy their venue with from one to six in our party. When I brought guests with me to enjoy the offerings, the other couples wanted to leave. This was prior to the start of weekend afternoon entertainment. The club layout is not conducive to the form of operation offered. Three strikes and I’m out. Give it a try. Your opinion may be different.

Went for date night on a Saturday night and arrived around 10:00pm. We paid the 5.00 cover charge and went inside. It was a full house, no place to sit at the bar but as we walked further in, a table opened up and we grabbed it. We waited for service but nobody came over so my bf ordered our drinks at the bar. The jazzy margaritas are good quality drinks, worth the 12.00 each. Soon after we had our drinks at the table, the waitress appeared so we proceeded to order our next 2 rounds of drinks from her. It was a very busy night and she was just trying to keep up. As we sat enjoying the music another group of 4 walked in and asked if the other 2 seats at our table were taken. I said no but was annoyed that they spread themselves out between our table and the reserved table in front of us. The gentleman sitting at the reserved table looked annoyed as well. Maybe its the normal thing to do to just sit as someones table but not something I would ever do. The music was entertaining and we enjoyed it. Theres a small dance floor by the stage for those who feel inspired to dance. The bathrooms were clean and the atmosphere was just overall cool. I can see going back for a lunch time date.

First impression is lasting impression. Not impressed. Called BJB on a Saturday to reserve a table for Sunday. When asked, how many? I replied 3. Was flatly told, No. I thought, No, what? No seats left? No, we can’t attend? Apparently, table reservations are only accepted for groups of 4 or more, all others walk-in. So we did. Only seats available inside were at the bar. Very tight space. We ordered drinks; were told they were out of wings, so we went with fried calamari(blah) & pizza(very good); note: later that evening, other patrons were served wings. The musicians and singer performed enthusiastically, but BJB is not the scene for me.

I really appreciate jazz and old school blues. And I believe it to be of a dying art. When I saw a Unilocaler check-in here, I clicked on it and was super stoked that they have LIVE music, reasonable distance from me! I brought a friend along and we both had such a great experience. I read a handful of reviews and some said there was a $ 5 cover. We arrived on a Fri. around 5pm and there was no cover charge. The bar is a bit of a tight squeeze, locating right when you enter the doors. Our waitress at 1st hesitant to serve us. She dibble-dabbled on bringing out our wine by mingling w/others, body language as if weary of us, but we gave her the benefit of the doubt, as the age range is much of a gap between 24 year olds. Sure enough, time went on, she got comfortable, accommodating. Happy hour was impressive(4−7pm)! 50% off house wines, apps, pizza, and some drinks! I ordered the mushroom caps(comes w/4) stuffed w/crab – fresh tasting, not heavy, tangy sauce on the side. Added the cheese and fruit platter – pepper jack, cheddar, and swiss cubes w/oranges and apple slices, small side of honey, and 2 slices of toasted bread. Cheese was very plentiful, couldn’t finish it all. I would have rather had a diff accompaniment than honey, as it did not go well w/the pepper jack, but I enjoyed it. My friend ordered the Bianca cheese pizza – very good but its a white pizza, no sauce, not my kind of thing. Also ordered the bruschetta. The pesto was sweet but SOO good. I’ve never liked black olives but it was great on this dish. I forgot the red wine I ordered, as my friend recommended it to me since I don’t know anything about wine, but it complimented everything so well! They have very generous pours as well LOL. The band(sorry as I forgot the name) playing was exquisite! From Bob Marley, to the lead singer’s own song he wrote on his Spanish guitar, to The Eagles! He actually introduced himself to us, said he takes song recommendations. He thought my friend and I were there for a music appreciation class HAHA! We didn’t take offense but is it mind-boggling to have young cats in 2015 enjoy jazz and blues?! The cook(we assume the manager as well), sat down at our table upon finishing our meal, asking what we liked(and didn’t like), which we thought was great. I don’t think this review does justice of how well Blue Jean Blues completed our Friday. Even the feel of the whole establishment was a bit of the«speakeasy» in the 1930’s of Chicago. A relaxing change to a night out, that can get your toes tappin’ :)

By far one of the best Bianca pizzas I’ve tasted. Fresh from out of the oven and the perfect amount of cheese. The entertainment last night was spectacular too. Aside from the owner being attentive, the waitresses are not so friendly. Cover is $ 5 to get in which pretty much pays for the entertainment provided. Overall a great Friday night well spent.

Love this place. Great music. They put on 2 shows a day, 7 days a week. who does that? The prices are a little higher, but that pays for the entertainment. And they have some of the best bartenders I have encountered Eric at the bar is a great bartender and very entertaining. Great date night place

Great music! Probably the only place I have ever gone to that has seating for live performances. They also have a small dance floor in front of the state which was great. Things to know: — There is cover at the door, when I went it was $ 5 per person, not bad! — Drinks are really overpriced, at least for me. $ 12 for a weak cocktail(Vodka and pineapple juice) — Check on the website for what kind of music will be played, not each night is jazz! — Mostly an older crowd. Overall I will definetely go back on a night where they only play jazz.

Oh me and hubby had great time in this hip little spot on a Saturday night. Seating is tight all up in through here… we snagged a table way back, last seat before the kitchen and the can. Lol. It ended up being not a bad seat because almost every song that the performers hopped off stage for, we ended up being sweetly serenaded some kind of way… bring cash to tip the performers, these were highly talented and knew how to work the crowd… yes they had a huge tip bucket, I ain’t mad at em. We got there around 7p to catch the end of a matinée set. We ordered wine, a house Merlot and Riesling which were OK, average priced. And a brie plate, a small warmed up round brie, surrounded with baked apple slices topped with walnuts and warmed honey, the brie was just plain in the middle, two little hard slices of bread… it was just ok, no major complaint, because we just wanted a quick snack with our wine, we didn’t stay long. The crowd that night was rather diverse, seemed like a lot of snowbirds and vintage set, hence a lot of standards, one 80s Madonna song seemed to throw the crowd for a loop, I held it down, though, singing along with the words. La eez-lah bo-neeee-tah, Ha! We will definitely go back another time for different performers and maybe try entrees.

We walked in around 9 and all the tables(for 5 or more) were reserved. As we stood there waitress Carla walked over noticing we had a disabled friend with us and she pulled the reserved sign off the handicapped accessible table and immediately gave us the table(we had 5 people). The Music by denny artech was GREAT we rocked all hight! The food… the best ! we had calamari, ahi tuna and filet tips! Divine!!! We closed the place down! Fantastic service… excellent spot on the beach to let loose… all around this place is worth 5 stars without a doubt
