Celebrating the Day of the Dead with this fun filled playful festival you will find Life! Centrally located in Downtown Fort Lauderdale the festivities come alive at 6:30pm at the Huizenga Plaza with a Parade of Skeletons, Sugar Skulls, Low Riders, Bride & Groom Skeletons, and Floats to match! However, this year we did miss the first half of the excitement but it really last the full night. Arriving later in the evening the festivities were still in full action! Food Trucks, Cocktail/Beer Stands, Arts & Craft Venders, Face Fainting, Parades & Picture taking with the Dead, and TONS of Awesome Dressing Up & Fun! This was all happening on the Revolution Live Block where the parade ends with the doors open to both Americas Backyard and Revolution Live. They had lot of Arts and Craft venders set up and you can also order at the bars inside. Bring Cash! As most of the bar set ups were only taking cash but you will find cards accepted at the main bar in Americas Backyard! I am so glad we made it to Annual Florida Day of the Dead Celebration! Go dressed as the dead or go as yourself, either way you will have a great time! Parking is plentiful but park further away to avoid the high event parking fee’s! It is a fun event to check out and we will be sure to catch the whole ceremony next year!

One of my favorite events. A myriad of colors, beautiful costuming, great food and music. I am just disappointed they are choosing a Monday for 2015. That will make it harder to attend for working people.
