«They botched the repair in addition to causing damage to the SUV 6÷23÷2015, I asked for my car to be taken to The JAP Shop 1100 W. Commercial Blvd., Wilton Manor, FL 33 311. It was taken to American Fleet Automotive, 901 N. Andrew Ave, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33 311 instead.
I called AAA and filed a complaint for taking my car to another shop.
6÷23÷2015 They commence working on my vehicle, 2002 Isuzu Axion (Invoice #13 651 dated 6÷23÷15, They never provided me a written estimate
7÷3÷2015, I paid American Fleet Automotive in full, in the amount of $ 2131.83. After starting my 2002 Isuzu Axion, there was a loud knocking noise coming from the engine and oil leaking from the valve cover. Henry Michael Adbulahad (Mgr) said to me that it was an air pump making that noise, and that everything was all right. He tightened up the bolts on the valve cover, and let me leave his establishment believing that the job was done correctly.
7÷8÷2015 American Fleet Automotive towed my car back to their service facility at 901 N. Andrews, Fort Lauderdale, FL, I was told that there was water in the transmission and quoted me $ 1750.00 to replace the transmission. I authorized them to replace the transmission and replace the rear engine oil seal for a total of $ 1966.27 I paid Fleet Automotive $ 210.00 cash deposit on 7÷8÷15, another $ 800.00 cash on 7÷13÷15 (my car was not ready) and the remainder of $ 790.00 cash, and picked up my Axiom on 7÷17÷15
7÷27÷2015 the engine failed. I called American Fleet Automotive and my 2002 Isuzu Axion was again towed back to their repair facility, that was now relocated to 721 Himmarshee St., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33 312. Again without return phone calls. I went to their facility to find my Axiom in pieces. They (his employees) were attempting to remove the cylinder head. I stopped them, and I asked what was the reason for doing so. Mr. Abdulahad told me that the warranty was void because of parts that I supplied failed. What parts I asked? I contracted them to fix My 2002 Isuzu Axion, it was my understanding it included parts and labor.
7÷27÷2015, I had my car towed to The JAP Shop. JAP Shop made an assessment, and told me the following facts.
1. The timing belt tensioner was defective, and was the noise that I heard. It had been rattling for some time and oil was spilled inside the enclosed area.
2. There were countless bolts missing, which had to be replaced.
3. The valve cover gaskets were the originals; old and worn out gaskets, reused on the previous repair by American Fleet Automotive.
4. The thermostat was never replaced. I contracted and paid American Fleet Automotive to install a new one.
5. The engine timing was way out of time
6. Oil was leaking from the rear engine seal. I contracted and paid American Fleet Automotive to replace the rear oil seal.
7. The transmission was painted, and looked questionable whether it was actually a rebuilt transmission.
8. The motor mounts were broken and defective. Could have been caused by removing the original transmission.
9. Old spark plugs were reused during American Fleet Automotive reassembly of the engine. 10. The total cost to correct the botched job by American Fleet Automotive was an additional $ 1229.24.
8÷1÷2015 The job was done to my satisfaction by The JAP Shop I picked up my 2002 Isuzu Axion on 8÷1÷2015.»

My transmission is still not working, the Vendor «Steve’s Transmission» Hollywood, FL who was subcontracted to fix the transmission, told me that Henry bounded the check for the work that was done and has not returned his calls as well.
They have a new name and Facility «Downtown Wheel Alignment, Tire & Brake» same crooks, different name.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT, allow these people to get near your vehicle !!! Had the alternator and battery replaced 2 days ago and I am now on the 95 in Miami waiting to be towed to my dealership. Should have read Unilocal prior to allowing them to fix it when they came to tow it Monday morning.

What an unethical bunch! They contract through AAA. When my son called AAA with a flat this company was dispatched. The driver arrives in a fully marked AAA tow truck. Instead of changing the tire he tells my son, a minor, that he needs to pay cash, $ 30, for a tire repair. Not knowing any better my son pays the bill and the tire gets plugged. When I found out I called AAA and am told that they don’t repair tires. The AAA rep was acting on his own and they can’t be involved. Furthermore, the guy fed a fraudulent claim to be reimbursed by AAA for changing a tire that he never changed. Disgusting but typical representation of the kind of serpents that earn their living preying on the unsuspecting.

Such scumbags.
The AAA guy pressured me into taking my car here when I told him that I wanted to go to the dealership. The tow guy from AAA actually works for this shop and they’re the biggest scam artists I’ve ever met, even by mechanic standards, I’ve never seen anything like it.
They actually screamed at me several times, once for calling to check up on my car, and the other for taking to long to get out of their waiting room while waiting for enterprise to come and get me.
They told me my car was ready, then when I got there it wasn’t, they blamed it on my handwriting, but the part of the number that they said they couldn’t read was the AREA code that they should have figured out based on my address, then Mitch yelled at me for showing up.
I broke down an hour and a half from my house and chose to get it fixed near where it broke. BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER!!!

Car was towed by them after an accident I called AAA and they came out I asked them to take it to a garage my insurance recommended he said it would go to their yard and be appraised then I could see where I want to get the repairs done once I knew the cost and they had some great AAA recommendations but nothing would be done until they spoke with me (never been in an accident before so had no idea how it worked). I expected a call to let me know the situation but the next morning the car had been towed to a different garage without my knowledge or permission and my signature was forged on the tow papers stating I would pay $ 598 which was billed to my insurance company. Needless to say I had to fight to get my car back from wherever they sent it and towed to the original garage that I asked that it be towed to which was 4 miles from the accident. My insurance company spoke with Benny to try and get the copy where it supposedly said I approved the tow to the repair garage and his response was to use obscene profanity and hang up on her and they billed AAA as well as my insurance company big time double dipping KEEP AWAY BIG TIME SCAM I have filled a complaint with AAA the BBB and the local police department from what I’ve since learned this is not the first time they have done this to some unsuspecting victim and I cannot believe AAA deal with them

We were towed here about a year ago after our car broke down and had decent service and so we returned for additional three times with our two vehicles for repairs. By the end of last year our opinion of this place started to change when the repairs started taking longer and they were getting caught not being straight forward and honest with their work. They «cut» us a deal once because their estimate was exceeded by the amount of work that was actually done, but we ended up having to go back to have them rectify problems with their work. OK, everybody can have a bad day, but when we requested for them to resend us a bill for insurance reasons, Mitch the owner, whom I had to call up several times, never sent the invoice by mail. When I called again, he lied and said that he did so. Three weeks later, we are still waiting… Besides the mediocre service, I think that their work is not the greatest. You can find better service elsewhere.

BEWARE!!!
AAA brought us to this location after we were in a pretty serious car accident. First mistake, we were not in the right of state of mind and should have not OKed any repair work the day we were in an accident. Anyway, this is the perfect place to go if you’re in the mood to get ripped off. We were quoted a price for extensive repairs to our Jeep Liberty. In hindsight, we should have junked it. But of course, they wanted to make a profit so they made it seem like the car would be good as new. Well, as soon as we gave the OK, things went down hill. They called a day or so later telling us that they missed some things the first time and had to tack on another $ 400 in repairs. Ok, we bit the bullet. We were already thousands of dollars in so a couple of hundred more was sort of tolerable.
We got the car back and things seemed OK for about a week. Then, the brakes went out and there was a loud grinding sound coming from under the car. We returned to the shop and was told that they didn’t fix the brakes the first time and it would be an additional cost. Luckily, we had the receipt showing that they supposedly worked on the front and rear brakes. They lied directly to our faces and were caught. They took the car and 20 minutes later we were told that it’s not the brakes (of course not because they would have to replace them for free). We were given another estimate for ~$ 500. At that point my husband was about to lose it.
We left and brought the car to another repair shop where we were told that American Fleet used salvaged, rusty, shitty parts but basically charged us for new parts.
Moral of the story is to stay far away from this place and don’t let AAA drop you off at a random repair shop (I think the tow truck driver worked for these guys.) Do your homework or have them tow your car home and choose a reputable shop.
