I’ve been a customer of Advanced Pools for about 22 years — during that time they provided weekly service for two properties. REPAIR/MAINTENANCE: Advanced Pools refinished both of our pools after providing written estimates detailing the work to be done, their insurance, and customer referral information. When we had them Diamonbrite our current pool we ordered extra stones in the mix to make the color an intense blue — like Bombay Sapphire — and it’s beautiful!). They’ve replaced pool pumps, motors, lights, etc. and after price checking their quotes I can tell you they’re reasonable. We’ve ordered pool filters, etc. online when we found better prices and then had them install the parts as well. They are flexible and don’t have a problem doing so because they want to keep us happy. One thing that bothers us is we don’t know why we have to pay for them to stabilize the pool twice a year when we don’t have significant changes in the weather. SERVICE: When Hurricane Wilma hit we lost our screen enclosure — it lifted off of the bolts in the pavers around the pool and deposited the frame and screens into the pool. Advanced Pools helped to remove the pieces we could not and got the pool water back in order. Years earlier when we had a string of storms, they worked long hours to get our pool water stabilized so bacteria wouldn’t grow in the stagnant water. EMPLOYEES: We’ve had Steve as our weekly pool guy for so many years I don’t even remember the name of the guy who serviced us before he did! Steve comes each week as scheduled; he tends to the pool; he lets us know of issues that arise and alerts us of potential issues; he knows we have dogs and makes sure the gate doors are closed. He parks on the swale so as not to take up part of our driveway in case we have to leave while he’s on site. He is respectful of our property and is neat about cleaning the filters, etc. If he finds the hose reeled he leaves the hose reeled. Besides that, as we’ve gotten to know him through the years he’s shared some personal information and I can tell you he’s proud of his Dad’s service to our country and I’m proud that he and his siblings care for his Dad. Whenever I’ve called the company they’ve addressed my concerns. They return my calls when they need to research my inquiries before providing me with an answer. They do the right thing to keep me happy — year after year. My neighbor uses them too — we recommended them and they’ve been a customer for about 8 years now.

What a disappointment. I used Advanced Pool for three weeks and they disappointed me repeatedly. In just three weeks! The biggest issue was lack of communication with the customer. They did things and didn’t tell us. And they did not do things they said they had. I had to keep calling them to find out what they were up to. And the people who answer their phones are terrible — no customer service skills. They lied about things they said were done, said they would call me back with answers and did not.
