In October While vacationing in Jamaica my husband had very serious stroke. After being stabilized in Jamaica for a couple of days he required urgent air ambulance transport back to the USA for advanced care. Our insurance company hired Trinity Air Ambulance to medevac him to the USA. Trinity Air Ambulance provided a plane and since my husband was on a breathing machine we were told were a «special critical care team» was required and sent by Trinity. The critical care team was friendly and made me feel at ease and it went downhill from there. The team was noticeably very uncomfortable with the medical equipment. The paramedic had to ask the hospital staff to help set up the airplane’s ventilator and the nurse didn’t know how to adjust the IV pump. Finally after almost 2 hours we went to the plane and took off. During the flight my husband’s oxygen levels dropped from 96% to 74% and his heartbeat was erratic(all of this was normal in the hospital). The team was trying to stabilize him but didn’t really seem to know what they were doing and had to turn off the ventilator and use a rubber bag to help him breathe. The IV pumps stopped working and my husband woke up because he wasn’t getting the sedation medicine in the IV. It was horrible to see my husband start to fight and tear up all because the«critical care» staff didn’t know how to use their machines. The ambulance EMT that picked us up at the airport in Miami had to show the flight team how to use their breathing machine! Thankfully my husband was delivered to the hospital in Miami unharmed. I contacted my insurance company to complain about the care provided by Trinity Air. The insurance company said the air ambulance company does not work for them so they can’t do much with my complaint. I asked why Trinity Air was picked by my insurance company to come pick up such a critical person like my husband and they told me «They quoted the lowest price». THECHEAPESTPRICE! The lowest bidder doesn’t equate to quality service especially when there is a severely ill person they are going to pick up. I called and emailed Trinity to complain about their obviously unqualified team and I have yet to receive a response. USEEXTREMECAUTION if you use Trinity, especially when you or your family’s life depend on it.

This is a review of service I received in 2011.(Don’t ask me why it’s taken so long to post a review). I was flown from the U.S. Naval Base in Guantnamo Bay, Cuba to the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va. The company charged over $ 30K for this service and was relentless at it’s attempts to collect payment, almost costing me my job. My advice is: if you ever find yourself in need of a medical flight from an overseas location check the website of the Dept. of State. They list several companies with which to do business. Don’t just take the first one to pop up… and certainly don’t use Trinity!
