I stumbled upon this awesome coffee shop/book store when I was wandering around Old Town. I fell in love immediately. Although, it is WAY too hipster for me… the coffee and juice are too good to turn down. The fresh apple juice is great for summer days and the coffee is good for every other day! The place is cozy and fun. I love the atmosphere. I would say that the staff could be more attentive but, I really have no other complaints.

I visited here tonight to study for a test, out of all the local coffee shops to choose from I decided I would try this one out! It’s a cute little place, lighting is pretty poor at night inside if you are trying to read anything. My biggest complaints come from the man who checked me out and made my chai. He was rude and seemed irritated to wait for my decision and my chai was cold. On top of that he didn’t even TRY to make small talk with me. I will not be coming back.

Really neat coffee shop and the bookstore attached is just icing on the cake. They offer a variety of brewing methods and bean types, as well as a nice selection of teas, freshly squeezed juices, and smoothies. With my french press, I enjoyed a blueberry lemon scone which had really pleasant texture and flavor. The staff was friendly and animated. The space was open and relaxing, yet cozy. The books definitely provide some visual intrigue and I could have probably spent hours browsing through their locally curated selection. Last bit of awesomeness… there is a loft with study tables and shelves like a library which seems like a great meeting space or study spot. I wish I could bring this shop home with me to the east coast.

Good coffee and some vegan options for muffins and such, but definitely not the most friendly staff. Awesome vegan banana nut muffins though!

This is hands down, the best coffee shop I have ever been to. I am very picky with coffee. Usually I can make a better cup of coffee(or latte or foo foo drink) for myself than any other coffee shop, but this place makes AMAZING coffee. The staff is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable; more so than any other place I have been to. I highly recommend getting the Chemex and let them decide what bean to use for it based on your usual coffee preferences. I’m not one to care much about ambiance, but this place is pretty much the epitome of Fort Collins in a coffee shop. Also they have cool lights… and books. =)

Awesome coffee and the carrot/ginger/Apple/beer juice is one of the best I’ve ever had. Great vibe and service. Come visit!

I have been a barista for many years and have traveled the nation extensively, drinking a lot of coffee along the way. This place rocks.

I stopped by here midweek to caffeine-up for a 1300 mile drive. The place is spacious, but warm and inviting at the same time. I was the first customer of the day at 7am, and the barista was incredibly welcoming. I drink a lot of cappuccinos, and I’d put the capp at Bean Cycle at a solid second-tier(e.g. not amazing, but WAY better than Starbucks). The process was sound, but the result was a little sour. Totally could have been that the grind wasn’t dialed in so early in the day, so I’ll definitely give it another try if I ever again find myself in Fort Collins.

I really enjoy going to this coffee shop. The atmosphere is perfect for writing or just chatting with friends. I’ve gone several times now and all of my friends love the whole experience at this place as well. I love that it’s combined with a bookshop. It makes me feel cozy, yet the warehouse-like height of the ceilings makes me feel like I have room to think. I haven’t had many of their baked goods; although I did have a peanut butter bagel which was amazingly satisfying. I think they serve the best vanilla steamers that I’ve ever had in my life. However, their chai tea is a bit lacking. Overall though, it’s a place worth checking out. So, what are you waiting for?

I travel and have been to so many mediocre coffee shops and the quality here does not compare to so many regular shops. I love the different options you have for coffee: French Press, Chemex, Pour over, and Yama(cold brew). All coffee roasted in house. I didn’t even try the espresso drinks but I had an Ethopian Chemex in the morning and a Yama in the afternoon and both were outstanding. If you are a coffee snob and the regular places aren’t cutting it, go here.

Great coffee with no pretentiousness in the atmosphere, well maybe the customers but who cares. Check out the bookstore in the back for your next favorite novel. Try the Kerouac for a heck of a buzz and don’t forget to tip!

I visited this quirky little coffee shop several months ago. I ordered a chai latte which was unfortunately very disappointing. It was like spiced water. I added some sugar to make it drinkable. However, my sister enjoyed her coffee. The ambiance is cool and it was a nice place to hang out on a cold windy day, but I was not impressed with my beverage.

Best late in the city. Tender care is taken in preparation of your coffee. It indeed is a joy to stop in early to start my day this way

Great basic café with coffee and free wifiI. the cute bookstore attached is a plus! Service was somewhat slow, but I wouldn’t complain. Overall great basic coffee shop to get some work done at.

«Meh! I’ve [definitely] experienced better!» Hot water with a hint of spice is what you should expect for a chai latte. The regular latte was also extremely disappointing — was there anything in this cup besides moderately warm milk? Not to mention that these two drinks took 15 minutes to prepare(with no other customers in sight) and it all came with a huge side of attitude.

When I came in during the rainy Friday afternoon I was greeted with a pleasant smile. I was decided to go with something more traditional. I wanted to try something that maybe was their specialty but I only feel it is fair to judge a coffee shop on how they handle basic drinks, so I ordered a Cortado. The foam was right where it needed to be at about 1oz. The cup with a nice little design with a handle.(I’m used to handless cups so it was nice to have that haha.) They have orange walls and the cup was orange on the handle and saucer.(Just kind of a cool feature that ties the aesthetics of a shop together.) There also is a charitable bookstore at the back of the shop with two levels. The first sip was nice and hot. I let it cool a little to get best flavor and continued to drink. As I had more I noticed some of the subtle flavor of the roast. It was quite strong and a little darker than I prefer but by no means bad. I think this part comes down to a preference. 4⁄5 Stars for aesthetic and overall good experience. Next time: I would try a specialty drink, find out what they’re best at. Try something new.

Walked by the bean cycle a few times while in old town. Finally went in. Relaxing coffee shop in old town, with friendly baristas. It was afternoon and I needed a jolt. I got what I asked for. I ordered the cuban coffee, which had plenty of caffeine. I am usually a daily green tea drinker and I occasionally have coffee or lattes. I tossed and turned all night that night. Anyway, great coffee shop. Love the latte art. I cruised the used book section while waiting. Interesting selection. Check it out!

I recently visited Fort Collins for the first time since moving to Colorado, and was told I needed to check out this coffee shop in Old Town. The space is super charming, with an open air feel, plenty of seating, and an awesome used bookstore in the back. The baristas were friendly and my coffee was expertly made. I had a chance to peruse the books while I was there and ended up walking away with two practically new hardbacks for a steal. This place does laid back local perfectly. Can’t wait to return during my next trip up!

Awesome organic place. Try their cold drip — chocolately. Great place for Ft. Collins that supports fair trade, organic and local coffee. Just having returned from Seattle, it felt a notch below the Cafes in Seattle but for Front Range, this is a place I want to continue to patronize — local, down home, so upping ranking to 5 stars. May want to upgrade the furniture to optimize seating like some of the cafes in Seattle. This place is on the cutting edge of coffee making — many techniques, etc. They are patient and explain to me the options and methods.
