Sundance Steakhouse & Saloon

Great place. The staff are all fantastic people and are ready to bend over backwards to help you enjoy your time here. All the food is worth mentioning, it tastes fresh and satisfying every time I go in. Not many places have a place for people to dance like the Sundance, so it’s defiantly my top pick for a dancing scene. Overall it’s a very inviting establishment, would defiantly recommend to a friend.

My boyfriend and I came in about 8pm on a Friday night. There were people learning to dance but not many people eating or at the bar. Started off with hostesses finishing their conversation before deciding which one was going to seat us. Then when we were seated, our drink order was wrong. Order two double tall whiskey cokes, one with Jack, one with Jim. Our server came back with one tall and one short. Ok no biggie. We ordered prime rib one 8oz medium one 12oz medium rare. A different server came out with our plates and didn’t know which was which and didn’t seem to give a shit. Our original server didn’t check on us until we were half way done with our meals. We got our bill and paid cash. Neither our server or the hostesses on our walk out thanked us for coming, or told us to «have a good night» or anything. I gave 2 stars because the food was good, but the service was garbage! Would not go back or recommend this establishment to anyone.

I have been in at night on weekends for swing dancing multiple times where things didn’t go well hoping they were just having an «off» night … But I don’t think they ever have «on» nights. It begins with waiting to be served by bartenders that are either ignoring ¾ of the bar or antagonizing physical fights between patrons. Then you get to deal with a DJ that is more concerned about playing music his friends want than pleasing the general customers. He would often gladly accept tips with song requests but never play them. There were too many times that there was silence with no music as he was too busy dancing or drinking with friends. If you want to go dancing and have a good time, this isn’t the place. It is, however, worth the drive to Bears in Greeley. This has turned into my preferred spot.

I’d say zero if I could. Came in at 6:30pm on a Saturday and the place was dead. After being seated, nobody came to serve us for 15 minutes so we went and found someone to take our order. The woman said she didn’t know where our waitress was but took our order. 50 minutes later, still no food… After asking about the food, the waitress scrambled to check on our order. When it came, two of the burgers were over done, one was undercooked, one person had cold fries, and the French dip didn’t have au jus. It took an hour and a half to order 5 sandwiches when the place was dead.

I dont know how their food is, but I can say their manager and night staff are absolute jerks. What I witnessed friday night should’ve came out of a movie because I couldn’t believe how mean they were, no one is actually that rude to customers (apparently at the sundance they are). I have never written a review, and I’ve had plenty of bad experiences as a customer but this had to be the worse. New management and staff please!

These guys don’t even deserve a star. Called in to ask a question and the owner answered. He was an absolute jerk. That’s a nice word for how he acted. Was very short with me and angry because he was «busy.» Great way to drive repeat business.
Other than that. Their food sucks.
Don’t expect much if you go. Pretty much any other bar in Fort Collins will be better than this dump.

Two beefs with the experience tonight. Nowhere on the website does it really indicate with any clarity as to which nights are 18+ friendly. My poor brother came along with a group of 6 of us and had to leave. Ok, here’s the MAKE UP YOUR MIND moment– later in the evening we see a bachelorette party. In the party, there are two girls with GIANT BLACK X’s on their hands. Come on, seriously? You’ll let in TWO underage chicks in a group, but not one dude? Make up your mind.
Ok, here’s the next one. I was here for ladies’ night about 2 months ago. I ordered Long Islands without a problem (my mixed drink of choice). Tonight, I ordered a Long Island and was met with some seriously nasty attitude from the female bartender, who insisted that they weren’t a part of the special and «Had never ever been.» Her coworker, who served me 3 of them last time, was at the other end of the bar… instead of asking what I’d like instead and offering choices, she sat there and looked at me until I asked «So what IS included?» Finally got a watered down, very weak tequila sunrise. Wouldn’t complain, because it’s free, but the second one that her coworker gave me later in the night was about three times stronger.
Make up your mind. Either you DO or you DON’T let in 18+ on Saturday nights, and either you DO or you DON’T serve Long Islands as a ladies’ night special, and if you don’t, just say hey it must have been a misunderstanding last time, here’s some other mixed drinks I can make you.
Two stars because this is the first truly bad experience I’ve had here, but tonight dropped them down from about 4 stars from my past experiences.
