New Genesis Comics

New Genesis is the new kid on the block for comic stores in town. The name of the store comes from DC Comics in which New Genesis is a planet that is the home to the New Gods created by legendary comic creator Jack Kirby.
The store itself is quite small and selection seems slim. What they do have is a good variety of comic titles from various comic companies out there given the small space. I am sure that if there is a particular comic that you are looking for and they don’t have it on site they could probably order it for you. Most comic stores are able to do that. I have to admit that I got sucked in even though I don’t really collect comics anymore. Just graphic novels. The staff was friendly and not antisocial which was a big plus. There are chairs in which you can sit down and read as well.
I am a bit concerned about their location. They are located in a pseudo industrial and service area. There are not really many other retail stores their. I hope this location doesn’t hurt their business in attracting passersby. I wish them the best of luck in success, heck I wish the best of luck for all comic stores! Nice addition to the Fort Collins comic scene overall! Yeah, I am a geek.
