I brought my 4 year old for a cut. He’s autistic and has had one successful haircut in his life, and a couple unsuccessful attempts. He is REALLY not a fan of having his hair touched. So I was prepared for a trial run. However, Miss Shirley pulled it off no problem, even when he didn’t get to sit in he red car he had his heart set on. She was quick, skillful, and had a great sense of timing. The place has lots of movies and video games to serve as distractions, and small toys for sale to serve as bribes (or motivators, whatever you want to call them). It was not only a good haircut, but a positive experience! I’ll definitely be back.

Do not go here if you value your child’s hair cut! I got my sons hair cut here almost 3 weeks ago and I’ve been pissed and regretted it ever since. I told her the exact length of the trimmers that I wanted used for each area and how I wanted the fohawk to be blended (this is info my previous stylist gave me) and it looked so butchered I wanted to cry. The first red flag should have been that they weren’t booked at all, the second flag was that she acted like I shouldn’t tell her how to cut hair. She didn’t dampen his hair once and started the hair cut from the top which I’ve never seen done in the last 4 haircuts my son has had. I believe her name was Karla and I’ll NEVER be back here to get my sons hair cut again and I suggest you steer clear.

A little ridiculous how bad my daughters hair looks (it was just a minor trim.) I could have done a better job with my kitchen scissors. I seriously wonder whether that lady even went to school. I could have taken her to a nice salon for what they charge, and the lady wouldn’t even let her watch the movie. Ridiculous.

I love this place, and Wendy is just awesome with my daughter. No other place except for Cool Cuts can get my daughter’s bangs cut straight. It’s kind of pricey, but well worth it to get your kiddos hair cut. Best place ever for a kids hair cut!

Love Miss Karla and Cool Cuts! Although there are slightly cheaper places to get a haircut for your child, for the few extra dollars your kid will have a much better experience from sitting in a cool car, and watching a movie, to playing a wide variety of video games. Plus the stylists are used to working with children, which makes this place special.
I’ve been taking my son here since his first haircut 6 years ago. We usually choose Miss Karla but we’ve had a variety of stylists and they’ve all been great.
We will keep coming to Cool Cuts until my son thinks he’s too «cool» to go there anymore.

I took my 3 year old in the other day, hoping to get him a nice cut. He has very thick, curly hair and it has always been difficult for him to sit still long enough for a stylish cut. I thought the cute chairs and tvs would make it easier. I told the lady i wanted it short enough to last a while. I bent down to get my baby out of the car seat, and when i turned around, the lady had clippers out, basically shaving his head. He now looks like he is 7, and possibly foreign. He even hates it, and insists on wearing a hat everywhere. There was only one person working, doing all cuts, checking people in, doing the cash register and answering phones in the middle of cuts. It seems like she was more than happy to lazily shave his head, just to be done with it. Needless to say, i will never take either of my children there again.

It was so great to find a place that had great service and great results! Miss Shirley was so nice and the kids loved her (and I could have chatted with her all day!). I loved how, because they focus on kids hair, they knew how to do great cuts for little girls. Perfect for the ages (5 & 7), including the 7-​year old’s first short bob — it looked darling! Not boyish, not teenager’y. We’ll definitely be coming back :). Thanks for a great experience!

Great haircuts and the kids LOVE it! I highly recommend Wendy who makes my kids look adorable every time. She understands that little boys look goofy when their hair is cut straight across a la «Dumb and Dumber» and makes my son’s hair look fantastic. She’s great with little girls too. I even told my husband to go here… it’s that good! It’s a bit pricey without a coupon but still worth it, and once you sign up for their rewards club (free), you get fantastic coupons all the time. We just got back-​to-​school haircuts for $ 7.99! Great place for kids.

All three of my sons (ages 5, 2, and 11 months) love Cool Cuts. It is worth the extra few dollars to have them entertained and happy while getting their haircuts. Shirley (who is also the manager) is FANTASTIC — takes the time to get it done right. Once you join their rewards club, you receive coupons all the time… for example, I just got one for $ 5 off each child.
