I really like Consuelos Express. Their food is usually really good and always reasonably priced. Unfortunately the operant word is «usually». A noticeable proportion of our to-​go breakfast orders either do not have the deluxe (lettuce & tomato) topping we paid for, or the burrito is mainly filler and very little meat. I realize they are trying to go fast and get the orders out, but it’s a real disappointment at home when our to-​go order isn’t as the receipt specifies. I hope they read this and get on top of it! When they get it right rates 5 stars for fast Mexican food!

I was disappointed in my dish. I ordered a vegetarian option and my first bite had pork in it. They quickly corrected the problem but it turned me off. The green chili sauce is spicy but flavorful. There was very minimal seating as well.

I would usually purchase some of their burritos from Albertsons and had no trouble with them. It wasn’t until I actually decided to try the restaurant myself. I could tell it wasn’t healthy right when I saw the chips. They looked so greasy and screamed cholesterol.
It wasn’t until I actually ate my meal when I was very dissatisfied. I ordered a handheld beef burrito with XXX sauce, the hottest sauce they got. It didn’t do it for me. The cashier said it was very spicy, I’d say it was more mild. On top of that, the burrito was so poorly wrapped, some of the grease dripped on my shoe and my sweatshirt! It was so disgusting! I hope to God that a little soap and water is all I need to get the grease off my shoes. But regardless, never going back again!

You can’t get a better breakfast burrito in fort Collins, especially for $ 3. Great green chili (hot is actually hot!!). Unlike most places there is a good portion of meat in almost every bite. So far I’ve never had any errors on an order.
Staff seems friendly for 6 in the morning.
Punch card where the 10th burrito is free, awesome.
Quick (usually, sometimes a construction foreman gets like 20 burritos and it takes a little bit)), easy, delicious.
I’ll be here murdering breakfast burritos damn near every morning!

I’ve eaten here before and it was really good but today I went and picked up breakfast burritos for work and they all tasted like straight pito brown. I’ll give it another chance but if its this nasty again, I’M OUT OF HERE!

Great chile, the worst service imaginable. Ever since the mom retired her daughter has run it into the ground. Delivered orders are wrong 80% of the time. It’s sad that such a great business has literally not a care in the world if your order is completely wrong.

Careful about going through the drivethrough in the morning… I’ve been trapped for 25 minutes more than once. Also, if you get a to go order, be sure to carefully check what they give you, because they don’t. Terrible service with average mexican food. I have been trying to like this place for years, but after yet another «oops you paid for 4 enchiladas & extra for green chile, but what we gave you was one enchilada in a big box with no green chile» I will never go back to this joke of a restaurant. Pathetic service ruins this C– Mexican food.

Great place to go when you’ve just woken up after a night of poor decisions. I love their breakfast burritos and greasy hash browns in times like that. Lunch and dinner don’t hit the spot as much for me. Be careful if you’re eating a handheld in the car. Most of the times they fold the ends of the burritos into the wrapper and it can quickly become a mess.

This place royally peeves me every website says they close at 9pm. Nope. 8 I pulled in at 801 and waited 5 minutes for a guy to order and than got trapped trying to get out while waiting 15 minutes for that. Late for my appointment and starving. Change your hours online your business just went to qdoba! A few Sunday’s ago we noticed you close at 11 and watched the grumpy employees kicking everyone out the door at 10:30. Rude employees. Won’t be coming back!

Liked the breakfast tacos but the lunch is probably close to the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. I got the small combo meal, probably 50cents of ingredients for over 7bucks… seriously all beans, like a pound of refried beans… just awful, I won’t be coming back.

Stopped in today for some late lunch and ordered the special «Beef and Bean Burrito with hard shell Beef Taco». It was ALL bean with only a few meat chunks on the cover sauce. Beef taco was alright but was only made with lettuce and cheese topping. Overall a light meal but was disappointed in lack of flavor and ingredients. I feel this doesn’t cut it. I’ve been here three times this year and each time come away with the thought I paid too much for a meal.

Good quick food. Excellent service. While this place is small the food is excellent. The breakfast burritos are delicious. If you don’t like hot then the half and half is plenty warm for the burrito.

Great food, TERRIBLE service and cleanliness. I’ve gone several mornings now to get burritos only to find by nine they are out of almost everything! In addition the person working the drive through window was awful. One day they didn’t give me back my change and today they gave me a DIRTY napkin with my burrito! I really hope the manager sees this and does something about it. I really like the food but the unsanitary conditions and employees that seem inconvenienced and irritated to have to deal customers will keep me from coming back.

I have been here a few times for breakfast. Thus far every time has been enjoyable and delicious. I think for the money you can’t go wrong. I love their green chili sauce, hot is good and hot so if you don’t dig spicy food go with mild or medium. I would say the eggs and tortilla are the only two things holding the place back from 5 stars.

Delicious!!! We ordered lunch for our office and we were all impressed. We ordered a chicken burrito smothered with medium green chile, a beef & been burrito smothered with medium green chile & a bean, cheese & rice burrito smothered in hot vegetarian green chile. All were delicious and SPICY!!! I had the medium and it packed plenty of heat. The hot chile eater had a red face and sweaty eyeballs if that gives you any idea of the level of heat. All the chile had excellent flavor and the burritos were stuffed with goodness. They have a varied menu of all sorts of mexican fare, next time I want to try the tamales. FYI-​They make a veggie tamale also.

So so fast food Mexican, the green chili is hot but no flavor beyond that. It is also a weird consistency like it has been thickened with too much corn starch. The burritos are short on meat and very heavy on beans. The green chili bowl should be avoided, ½ a bowl of thick clawing beans with a little bit of rice and then sauce over the top, covered with cheese lettuce and tomato to hide what is underneath, on the whole a place to avoid.

I love Consuelo’s! I was reluctant the first time I tried it because I’m not big on mexican food and it’s a small obscure looking place, but man is it delicious. Their beef burritos are packed with meat and very flavorful. Plus you can get a nice sized burrito for about 6 $! It’s a way better value than Taco Bell. I’m kicking myself for not trying it sooner.
