Mike P JUST made an account to give a rave review about Colorado Gun Works and has no other posts on Unilocal — I call BS. All the other reviewers are correct, CGW is the worst and Cullen Royce Hunnycutt, the owner and only employee there, is a total scam artists. Mike P, the ONLY reason Cullen returned your gun is because he got audited from the ATF for all the guns he took from people in Colorado and never returned. He is being watched by the ATF — don’t believe me, call them? He also returned your money for the same reason AND because he is under investigation from other sources for fraud and tax evasion. So no, Cullen is not a good person — he’s a lying scammer who got busted and is being watched. Glad you got your gun back though — there are about 30 other people who got ripped off by Cullen.

couldn’t agree more. sent my pistol to these people for a warranty repair and they have had my gun for more than 8 months. EIGHT MONTHS TO FIX A CLIP RELEASE! Now they have moved and they said that once my gun is unpacked they will send it tom me. That was over two months ago. Stay away from this shop!

These guys are still in business? I went in there ONCE when I first moved here and in the interest of not pissing off the employees/​owners (who are people with guns) I’ll just leave it at that.
EDIT: They’re closed and they took all of their customer’s guns without notifying them they were leaving the state (I suspect there’s an FFL issue there being that it involves state lines). The owner moved the whole company to Indiana and if you lost a gun to them you have to contact the sheriffs office in Ft. Collins, they’ve helped other people in dealing with this issue.

You notified customers that you were moving out of state, really? No you didn’t. You posted a fucking sign on your door saying you moved to Indiana but just 1 week prior you said a gun that you had in your shop (for over a year) was «almost done» with NO mention that you were about to leave the state in a week. I also know for a FACT that somebody had to go to the local sheriff’s office to get you to give back another gun that you attempted to take to Indiana with you.
You made ZERO attempts to contact people who had guns in your shop and even told people you were still working on guns while you were secretly packing up to move to Indiana. The people of Colorado are just lucky you’re gone.
PS: You STILL have that gun and have made no attempts to contact the owner and he can’t find you because your website still has all of your Colorado info on it (wonder why)…
Since you’re such a «respectable» business, post your new contact information back here so my buddy can call you and get his gun back, at which time I’ll edit this post but until then this post will stay up.

There’s just no reason to go here. Sent in a rifle for repair, they actually messed it up even worse, sent it back to them (with-​in that same week) and they had the audacity to give me an estimate on the repairs to the damages they caused. They got the rifle back to where it was when I initially brought it in so I paid them to get the rifle out of there and swore never to go back. Plus their selection is pretty limited and prices not any lower than anywhere else in Norther Colorado.

Terrible. Shoddy. Lousy. I could use a thousand different words to describe how these guys operate, but those 3 will do.
Will never go back.
Much better shops in South Ft Collins.
I regret ever going in.
Poor customer service.
Takes way too long for a repair.
