This was a perfect place to go while cruising through this adorable town. Instant fix for my family before we hit the road outta town. Great selection of games & toys. It was nice to see such a good crowd of people playing in the back too.

So much geeky stuff! Games, Comics, Collectibles, and more. All in a very clean, well organized, open, uncluttered place. Friendly staff too. As a Geek Girl, I’m always more than pleased to be welcomed by a fellow Geek Girl running the counter! Looks like they have a nice setup in back for game nights and tournaments too… Dang… wish I lived closer!

A good mix of tabletop games, comics, video games, and accessories. Didn’t get bothered by the store owner which is nice. Laid back environment. Great selection.

The Blaqk Door, oh how I mourn for you. I watched from afar with curiosity when you moved into town. I awaited to see inside your store as you prepared yourself to open. I gazed in amazement as you got shipment after shipment and stayed open late night after late night. I wondered what was behind your papered up windows. Would we finally have a proper gaming store in downtown FB? Finally the day had arrived. On first friday you opened your doors for the first time to the public. We all oohed and awed as we walked inside for the first time. Your amazing stock and layout. Your neat decorations and fancy lights. I was thrilled to have this store be a part of FB. I did not buy anything that night, but returned a week later to finally make my first purchases. I, an old time comic collector was able to spend hours at a time talking with your staff member with the tattoos who seemed to know everything about comics. He was such a cool guy who seemed to know exactly what would scratch the particular itch of what I wanted to read. He was a blast to hang out with. There was another guy there who knew facts about videogames I never guessed that someone his young age would know.(I’m 36) We joked about John Romero’s Daikatana or talk about dnd editions of old. He was super into the loop and would tell me info I would get from IGN weeks later. He like the tattooed gentleman really knew everything there was to know about his genre. He even had his own distinct physical features that would stick out in the store. A happy big guy who always had awesome Video Game themed T shirts. They both got along well with each other as well and you got a real buddy buddy feeling from them. It almost felt like it was their store. Especially when the owner never shows up. When It came to getting info or help on comics or videogames/RPGs I would totally recommend them… that is… if they still worked there… There is also a darker side to this store. Placing orders for games and comics was easy with those two around, but actually getting them was another thing entirely. Each week I would walk in, ask about something I had ordered only to often be told that it had not arrived or that the owners would simply not order it despite me being a frequent and large spender in the store. Before long I found out the game nerd was laid off and the comic guy soon left as well. Now the store lacks any real nerd charm to it. Sure they have nerd gear all over and the store is still pretty to look at. But over the past few years, it is not the same store that opened there. Overall you get a GameStop-y feeling in there now, where they want you to buy your stuff and leave. The owners seem to be full of fake smiles and fake employees, both don’t really seem to care. I would recommend the Music Merchant as the owner really cares about the lore and has a fantastic selection as well with a more wholesome nerdy feeling. Should comic guy and game nerd return and the store go back to it’s true roots then I would rate this store higher, but I’m not holding my breath. RIP

Great selection of board games! We’ve made a family tradition of buying a new game from here every summer when we’re camping in nearby MacKerricher State Park. They also have comics, video games, and collectibles. Love this place!

This is a very cool little comic book store with much more! I loved it! I loves that as an older person I could still relate thanks to my son. Went looking for a shirt for him and found a lot of other cool stuff. Was just like an episode of Big Bang Theory!

Very good game selection. Had some hard to find copies of board games. Didn’t get a good chance to see their video game section. Their comic book selection was well kept and up to date.

Came here on vacation in the summer, not expecting to even feed my comic addiction on vacation. Love this place! The staff was very friendly, and one(I can’t remember his name…) even recommended a comic series to me(«Grayson» by DC comics) that I haven’t been able to put down! Definitely coming back next time I’m in the area!

Surprisingly large general geekery store, with everything from vinyl figures to Doctor Who mugs to Eurogames to CCGs to manga. Selection of RPGs is a little limited, but overall, there’s a thoughtful selection of everything you might expect to find here. Nice dice selection, too! Not overtly female-geek-shopper-hostile, which is a good thing. Friendly but not pushy(also a good thing).

YES! Terrific place for the gamer, the nerd and the curious! It’s a spacious little comic book shop, with different areas for the games, comics, card collects, etc. The place is VERY organized and the associates are both friendly and knowledgeable! I love that there is an area in the back for the newer comics that have arrived, discussions and even gameplay. Apparently they also host events. If you are a local(which, unfortunately, I am not) you should stop in to see which events are coming up!

Stopped by while visiting Fort Bragg, looked like a pretty awesome local game store. Everything you would need to satisfy your inner geek or the geeky one in your life. Magic Cards, Role Playing Games, Games Workshop Games etc. were all in there. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only downside is that it was a bit small and the selection could have been better. Cheers
