Pretty banal food. I had a steak. How do you make a tasteless steak? I guess that’s a feat in and of itself.

Under no circumstances would I recommend this place for a dinner or special event. Their event coordinator is awful, unorganized, and rude. My wedding guests were served undercooked chicken. When I followed up after my wedding to have my complaints addressed, I was told that I would receive a phone call back. Over 2 months later and I’m still waiting for that. Honestly, I just got tired of «fighting» with them, so I let it go. But honestly, stay away. It’s overpriced for the area and while you might THINK it will be worth it(you get what you pay for, right?) — it isn’t worth it at all.

Lured by half price promotion for their first dinner theater show, I attended the production of «I Love You, Your’e Perfect, Now Change. This place is nicely appointed with modern décor. Tiered theater/dining area seats around 250 – 300 and is very nice, complete with white linen, candles etc. Pre show entrée was filet mignon, which in spite of mass production situaton was tasty… Show was very good and talent was well above average. Attendance however was sparse [50?], and the actors deserved better. Actually considering promotion, show and food am surprised turnout was not larger. This would be good date night, as they have some nice tables for two close to stage. All in all a fun afternoon.3 star on food, 4 – 5 on show and talent.

While on a business trip to WI, my boss and some of my co-workers and I had a girls’ night out at Central Coast. Central Coast was very un-NYC…in a good way! I loved the large space with areas for ballroom dancing, the bar and for fine dining. The food was exceptional and I highly recommend Central Coast to anyone in area. I’m not sure if/when I’ll be back, given that I’ll be starting at a new company soon that doesn’t have offices in Fort Atkinson, WI, but Central Coast blew me away and made me miss the suburbs. What a fun night! I’m so glad I have pictures to remember it by.

My wife and I went to Central Coast to celebrate our anniversary and where disappointed. She ordered the seafood special for the day and I ordered the lamb shank off the regular menu. The seafood was great, but my lamb shank was anything but great. First it came presented vertically with bone standing up. A massive piece of meat on the plate and very difficult to handle or cut. After laying it down, cutting into the shank and taking my first bite I found that the inside was still refrigerator COLD. Previously cooked thru, but now served cold. After many minutes we where finally able to get our servers attention and she took it back. So my wife continued to eat her meal and I waited. And waited… It finally was returned to me, this time hot. My wife was done and now I ate alone while she watched… The lamb shank was not tender and not worth the wait or money. Not a great anniversary at a very expensive restaurant. This lamb shank was a menu item and should have been prepared often and never served cold on the inside. Poor kitchen control of processes. We will most likely not return.
