We spent $ 7,000 on an electric gate. The storm in late September knocked down a branch that knocked our gate off of its track and broke the chain mechanism that makes it work. We have been waiting 10 weeks for the repair to be done with no response — no call back, no word whatsoever. We have called three times and physically visited their office once and still no response. Only use them if you don’t care about after installation service.

mr terry s. replied to my negative comment. actually, the gate post ws fixed only one time and at that time i was told about keeping the area moist to prevent movement. the area has been kept moist as evidenced by the lushness of the grass around the fence post but it has moved even mor now than than before. as for soil cracks, they did occur except on the opposite side of the driveway from the gate post. there were no cracks near the post. mr terry s also has stated that the warranty period was only for 2 years. i faxed him a copy of the warranty i received stating 5 years and have not heard back from him. guess the 5 year warranty is worth the paper it is written on. i have had a few fence companies come to estimate remedying the situation. they seem to feel that if the post was burried deeper and more cocrete had been used the problem may ot exist.

I wish i could give less than one star. Run, don’t walk, run to another fence company! I had all kinds of problems. They hit the neighbors sprinkler system in four places. Rather than fix it they just shut off the neighbors system and said nothing. Five days later in 100+ degree weather the neighbors lawn was dying. I had to call an emergency repair on Sunday. I took the repairs out of the balance owed. I soon had several sections of the fence start to lean because they only sank the posts a foot into he ground with little to no concrete. The owner of Sunnyvale said they didn’t make enough money in my job to warranty their work. Nice guys! How are they still in business? I called Carlitos Fence. He fixes the crummy work and has since built three new fences at other properties for me.
