Great lunch. Fried flounder sandwich with well done fries. Very good Jersey tomato and nice cole slaw. First time to this Mud City location. Easy off the GSP and arrive in 5 minutes.

Third time eating there. This was by far the worst experience of all. Fried flounder and shrimp on two dinners were overlooked and dry. The fries with grey, clumpy gravy were so salty, soggy and gross. The baked potatoes were cooked at least yesterday if not earlier in the week– they were brown and gooky inside– not fluffy. We got a bag of condiments… With sliced lemon just thrown in the bag with cocktail sauce, tarter sauce etc. for two baked potatoes we got 1 butter and(1) 1 oz sour cream, really? Overall very disappointing.

I love the recent unique specials coming out of the kitchen, and their beer batter dipped cod is awesome. Crab cakes of course are wonderful but they offer so much more as well all year long. The staff are pleasant and attentive. It’s a small place but convenient for Lacey residents and awesome in the summer when their flagship in Stafford is swamped with diners. I’m a bit biased but I really love the Mud City restaurants.

I just had some great food from here the other day: a crab cake sandwich with their garlic fries(called something clever, I forget what), and new england clam chowder. The chowder was tasty: well seasoned, and with a generous amount of clams. The crab cake sandwich was also good. It was simple: lots of crab! Finally, while not seafood, the fries with a creamy garlic dipping sauce were really good. This place is more geared for take out. The parent restaurant, which is also excellent is in Manahawkin, right near the causeway to LBI.
