Save yourself a trip to Chinatown, Elmhurst, or Flushing! This place serves great Cantonese style noodle soups. The noodles are perfectly al dente and the duck and pork are crispy. However, their wontons seem to be made with filler processed meat so I would not recommend that. For less than $ 8 a bowl, I can’t complain much. If you’re craving Cantonese noodle soup, give this place a try!

Definitely not worth your money or time. Two bad experiences were as follows: I ordered egg roll and they gave me shrimp rolls which was luckily I noticed upon the first bite since I’m allergic to shellfish. I let them know the issue but they seemed to not really care. The last time I got steamed chicken and string beans from them, the chicken was hard and rubbery and I found not one but TWO long strands of hair. YUK! That did it for me. Not to mention their grading system fluctuates A LOT! Stay away.

Ordered the subgum wonton dish, wonton being in the title and the description. I really wanted wontons and this why I made this particular selection, naturally expecting wontons to be in the container as well. Guess what wasn’t there when I got it home…

Someone Said this place sells authentic Cantonese style Wonton noodle soup style… Oh come on, have you ever eat in a traditional Chinese restaurant before? The egg noodle indeed, was from an old fashion noodle factor I’m sure. Well, other basic stuffs like Chicken Broccoli from a Chinese food restaurant are like uniform style like all others, included how they make it. 3 stars to me because i got my food under 5 mins, that is what a fast food restaurant suppose to do. Nothing special, but I will go back sometimes. Read less

As I eat my order of garlic beef(combo) which came with a spring roll and fried rice, I am pleased. I unknowingly walked in 15 to closing time and while naturally empty and quiet, they serviced right away with pace. Not the greatest idea to eat the leftovers from a whole day, but when it comes to American quickly-prepped chinese food, I think it’s the safest bet. Tastes like your usual chinese takeout, nothing astounding — solid. This is my first chinese since moving recently to Forest Hills and so I have to explore other places, but the price was right at $ 8 for the combo meal. They have a menu with big pictures as you enter the small place and just two tables. I peeked at the front after ordering and saw their grade is pending, but didn’t concern me. Based on just one time eating their food, it’s worthy visiting for sure for a quick bite or like myself, late dinner. Four stars, it was quick, easy, stayed piping hot!

Been going to this spot for 5 years now. Food is great. My favorite is sesame chicken. Always done well. I always ask for white meat-just $ 1 extra and the chicken is tender. Not to mention how cheap it is. I recommend anyone in the neighborhood to go here. I tried other Chinese fast food on queens blvd, and all are subpar and more expensive.

This place has your average Chinese take out selection. The food quality and taste is alright. I just find it strange when the owners bring their kids into the restaurant over the summer and sets up a playpen inside. I would only pick up food here because it’s on my way home and right next to the subway entrance.

The service here is very fast. However, the food here is not good at all. I prefer going across the street to King Garden for tastier food.

My partner and I have ordered from here several times and the food has been good every time. I saw the review below about rotten chicken, and our experience hasn’t been anything close to this and the meat in the dishes we’ve ordered has been fine. I love their three flavor chicken dish which is a combination of General Tso’s Chicken, Sweet & Sour Chicken and Chicken with Mixed Vegetables, though if you order this you might want to order some additional Sweet & Sour sauce for the Sweet & Sour Chicken. They also have good cheese Wontons and Sesame Chicken. Their spring rolls we’re «ok» but I think I’ve had better. They seem to be made of mainly mushroom and cabbage. Last they have fast and friendly service. Their delivery is very fast and when we recently picked up food at their location, their staff was nice and courteous. In our last order we got over $ 50 worth of food for us and a guest and in addition to a free meal(one of the promotions on their menu), they added a soda free of charge which wasn’t part of the promotion for the $ 50 category, which was nice of them. Also my partner has an allergy to peppers and they’ve been accommodating in removing them from dishes we get for her. We’re careful about the quality of food at Chinese restaurants and we don’t order Chinese food often, but when we do this place and King Wok are our default places to order from. Definitely one of the best in the Kew Gardens/Forest Hills area in our experience so far.

I agree, there are a variety of Chinese take out options in the area, but this is the best one. Typical American style Chinese, but their fried rice is the best. Bf likes their fried dishes. Always crispy, not soggy. I didn’t want to try it at first bc it’s a hole in the wall place, but glad I did bc it def has the best food. I stopped ordering from other places.

Rotten food. Ordered Chicken with eggplant, and the chicken was completely rotten. I called to ask why they sent me rotten food, and the lady just ignored me completely and basically told me that it wasn’t true. I’m not picky. I’ve ordered sesame chicken from my local Chinese place that doesn’t look like chicken in the inside, but this place sent something else. Something putrefied. If you order from this place, and they send you rotten meat – well you just have to deal with it.

NOTEVENGOODFOODCANSAVEYOUTHISTIME. APPARENTLY, the girl that picks up the phone is illiterate or she mixes up her left’s with right’s which leads me to believe that she doesn’t know the mean of the word(s) at all. I SPECIFICALLY asked her on the phone just now at 5:20pm to MAKESURE delivery boy come to the LEFT of the driveway because I would have to chase him down otherwise which I ended up doing in the FU-KINGCOLD once again. And just as I had to step foot outside to scream«AAAAAYYYOOOOOO!!», a gust of strong wind battered me with my jammies on. Why do I tip these people? This is the third CONSECUTIVE time that this has happened. Lost count at how many times I order from this place. 3rd time is the straw that breaks the camels back. Will not order from here again. Back to King Garden because they can tell directions correctly.

Based on other Unilocalers reviews, I got the Roast Duck Noodle Soup, Chicken with Broccoli and the Fried Chicken Wings with Chicken Fried Rice. I must say, everything was pretty tasty; I especially liked the Roast Duck Noodle Soup. It is hard to find tender duck, even at some of the best places, but this duck was not only tender, it was tasty as well. I did find one tough spot, but even that wasn’t too tough. The wings were fried well done, which is exactly how I like my wings, so this was perfect for me, and I didn’t even have to ask them to cook them that way. The chicken and broccoli had a nice sauce that wasn’t oily, nor was the food swimming in the sauce. Overall, I enjoyed the food from Super Kew, and will be ordering from there again, especially for the noodle soup.

This is the best chinese take out in Kew Gardens. They are super quick and pleasant. Lunch specials are only $ 5.50 and combos are only $ 7. I like everything they make here, except the regular dumplings which are just too doughy. They make up for it though with their Chinatown noodle soups. So good and cheap for the amount you get(and for some reason the dumplings in these soups are delicious, go figure). Definitely recommend this over other chinese places near by.

fast delivery = good the food — the roast pork chow fun was good but the roast pork was huge and it made me miss the ones from chinatown in manhattan. it’s passable but i don’t think i’ll get the roast pork maybe i’ll get the beef next time. the wonton duck noodle — the duck was dry even with the soup and the wonton’s were nothing like the ones i’ve had in other places. i don’t think i’ll get this next time. i’ll just stick to something like rice or something next time i order from here.

Delivers in 10 minutes. Inexpensive classic american chinese dishes. Try B-B-Q boneless spare ribs(mmmm!) appetizer. Wonton soup. Steamed pork dumplings. Pork fried rice. Family meal(one of the most $$ on the menu — $ 10,25) is not bad. Lots of meat and broccoli(plus peas, chestnuts and carrots). Ask for less(or no) salt and a sauce on a side.

Sometimes I don’t want to trek all the way to Flushing for Chinese food. Sometimes I just want(insert protein here) cooked in brown/garlic/lobster sauce over rice and brought to me to my door. That’s where Kew Super Garden take out comes in handy. Most Chinese take out places like Super Kew excel in a few things(here it’s crispy fried chicken wings and flavorful pork fried rice) and fail miserably at others(oily bland noodle soups and beef chow fun that ODs on onions). It’s usually a hit or miss depending however after ordering enough times you’ll quickly know which dishes to weed out and which earns a spot into your rotation. Delivery is fairly quick with food arriving anywhere between 10 – 20 minutes depending on how busy they are. Hopefully not tonight so I can get my fried chicken wing fix. P. S. — Minus points for not having fried scallops!
