Its Haggen Daz, its good, its definitely better than Baskin robbins. BUT its not gourmet or mind blowing ice cream like some of the ice cream parlours i have tried. To me consistency is an important part of food and restaurants and ice cream shops. The ice cream here is good sometimes, and sometimes very runny and I wonder If i could’ve just got walmart no name ice cream instead. I think it depends on the flavor you get, Like Last time I got a butter pecan and it was Amazing, then second time I got cookies and cream and it just tastes like runny vanilla ice cream. Its not a bad experience, But if there were other ice cream options i wouldnt come here. If This is the only ice cream place, Then sure, Haggen daz is still one of my store brand ice creams

Haagen Daz is my favorite ice cream so I’m a frequent customer of this location. This is a small location with no seats so ideal for folks that are looking to grab a treat to go rather than sit down and eat. I’ve always had good service while here and no issues with my order.

This is our go-to place for a quick ice cream fix. Some of our all time favs are Rocky Road, Coconut Pineapple and Cookies n Cream. My husband also loves to experiment with different types of cones everytime.

FOODPOISONING! My wife and I walked into this shop on Austin Street on Sunday afternoon after sharing lunch and dinner the day before and brunch that morning with six other family members. We both had the exact same thing: a medium cup with a scoop of Rocky Road and a scoop of Dolce De Lece. The two guys working behind the counter did not look like they were working in an ice cream shop as they wore street clothes and no apron. We ate our ice cream, went home and became violently Ill five hours later. I’m talking«please let me die right now» sick. Our bodies were purging every 15 – 30 minutes from both ends all night long with never ending cold sweats and abdominal pain. It wasnt pretty. When the smoke cleared 24 hours later we were depleted, our bodies dehydrated and empty. At that point, after realizing that we were going to survive this obvious food poisoning, we began the careful process of elimination to help confirm what made us sick. In the end it was clear. EXCEPTFORTHEHAAGENDAZ, every other morsel of food and every other sip of drink that we consumed during the preceding 24 hours was shared with close family members… and none of them had a single symptom. At that point we asked ourselves: Can ice cream really give you food poisoning? Then we recalled the recent Listeria outbreak caused by Blue Bell Ice Cream and realized exactly what happenned to us. Be careful.

3.5 Stars. The ice cream and cones are pretty good. The Brownie A La Mode was verry chocolaty and tasty. Satisfied my ice cream fix for the month.

I love having so many Haagen Dazs flavors to choose from.(Dulce de leche is a great one, a bit too sweet though, share it). Although there is something wrong with the business model of these places, Buying directly from Haagen Dazs is more expensive than buying from a retailer, they can’t be charging extra for the place because there is no seating available, so I really don’t get what’s the extra value we are paying for. Is it for the flavors? go online and get the one you desire delivered.

This place currently has a «For Rent» sign posted on the window. Does anyone know when this place is closing? Really sad that an ice cream store is closing while all these Fro-Yo places are opening up!

It’s been awhile so I decided to order a large chocolate milkshake. Once I was at the register, they mentioned a dollar amount. I said, «come again?» The worker says, $ 8.25. Fine, I can agree if it was this great milk shake but it was not. It wasn’t creamy, the cup size was the equivalent of a grande size Frappuccino at Starbucks which charges significantly cheaper prices at five dollars and some change. Plus, it has at most 3 scoops of ice cream. Best bet is to get your senses, turn around and walk the opposite direction of Haagen Daz, go to Duane Reade’s and just buy a pint of Haagen Daz ice cream for $ 5. You get a lot more value. Never again.

Ahh… Häagen-Dazs, always been a timeless classic for my choice brand of traditional hard ice cream comprising of high quality ingredients. Forest Hills’ commercial hub on Austin Street offers shops, restaurants, desserts and SWEETS! After a bail out at nearby Starbucks on Austin Street from the oppressive, purgatory summer’s heat I needed to continue with cold sweetness at a Häagen-Dazs franchise. Service is very attentive to heed my needs for my kiddie cup size at $ 3.35 which invoked abundant inner happiness. A microscopic two seater bench is the only source of seating, but with a fully functioning old school ceiling vent for air conditioning system it surely brought relief. Ice cream, ice cream!

This place gets one star because the prices are kind of ridiculous. I got a shake there once and it was over 8 dollars. I think my brain exploded when I paid

It’s so tough to pay these prices for a a single scoop of ice cream, knowing there’s a quart of Dulce de Leche Yogurt in my freezer not 2 miles away. Yet, I gave them my $$ because it was HOT as heck outside and I was fiendin’ for some cold ice cream. YUM! This is a cute HD outpost and there’s always a line but it’s well worth the wait.

Nice tiny shop with various tiny servings. Even the tiny serving is $ 3! New York prices! Phew! But they had two kinds of coffee icecream. That’s nice.
