Dante’s Pizza

Pizza was great! The Sicilian slice had a slight crunch, great sauce, and a perfect amount of melted cheese. I would definitely eat at Dante’s again and try their other slices and rolls. They all looked so fresh! My husband enjoyed the white pizza and a slice with fresh mozzarella and tomato sauce as well!

Great pasta slices and specialty pizza. I just wish they still delivered with seamless.

Is there a 4.5 Stars option? This place is great! Outstanding customer service. I got an easy spot right outside. When I was indecisive the guy offered to make me several different things, and was super nice and patient. All 3 guys behind the counter were super nice and accommodating. I ended up going with garlic knots and a Sicilian slice (which I haven’t had in a long time). Sicilian was excellent. Dough was crisp on the outside and soft in the center. The reason this place didn’t get 5 stars were because the garlic knots were just ok :/

Amazing pizza; the Buffalo Chicken Pizza is top notch and by far the best I’ve ever had. The food is way better than Mazara’s ever was (Ugh, that place was awful!-This was the previous place in that spot for those unaware).
My wife and I order from them at least once a week. If pizza was a healthy meal I’d eat here everyday!!!

Just ordered a Grandma pie and was awesome! Next time I’ll just ask them to keep it in the oven for a couple of extra mins and should be good to go.

How much do I enjoy Dante’s…I walk 20 minutes and pass 4 closer pizzerias to eat there… I have sampled 4 types of slices… Regular, Sicilian, Margherita and Grandma… All are excellent… Always fresh and high quality… Tried one dish… spaghetti and meatballs… It was very good and the portion was plentiful… Service is always prompt and friendly… Happy I found Dante’s!

I love the food at Dante’s. I discovered Dante’s after visiting Cinemart Cinemas. The Sicilian is one of the best in the city and I order it frequently. it has become a family fave for dinner.

Dante’s Pizza is clearly a local pizzeria. sparse decoration, the old school orange plastic booths and tables. clearly most of their business is delivery and take-​out. the regular cheese slice had a layer of glistening grease on top, so i opted for the spinach mushroom slice instead, extra crispy. the mushrooms were canned (which i secretly like more than fresh) and the toppings were abundant, covering every inch of the slice. aside from a wish for more sauce, i was pretty satisfied with it overall. and they did the extra crispy request perfectly.
my friend got a meatball hero (no cheese), which was good if not generic. he also felt they were a little stingy with the sauce. but otherwise, no complaints about the food.
my only really complaint is that our entire meal was $ 14. the hero was $ 7 and my bottle of diet dr. pepper was $ 2. which made my slice $ 4 – 5. yikes.

A great slice! The grandma is good too. Located in the heart of Forest Hills.

Since leaving Brooklyn I’ve yet to find a good pizzeria. Well here it is! Dante’s pizza. The gentlemen are courteous and kind and the food is great! I had the food delivered and they came faster than expected. I actually went to the eat in and thought well…
It’s the little no frills restaurant that sometimes knock you back with great food that’s also affordable. And the best part is they have a selection of healthier choices.
To date I love their spinach, broccoli, sausages, white pizza, mozzarella sticks, calamari, and their sauce. It tastes homemade and doesn’t taste too sweet at all.

Definitely do not judge this book by its cover. From all appearances, it is a total dive joint. The only reason I ventured in was out of desperation one hot summer day. But… omigod. I had one of the best slices of pizza in my life. Spinach & mushroom with a hint of garlic & a ton of flavor. A crust that was just the right thickness & just a bit crispy on the bottom without being burnt. Wha?!? Wow!

Yum yum yummy. My sister and I ordered a Medium Margarita Pizza (16 inch, 6 slices $ 16) and mozzarella sticks (6 sticks, $ 5) to go and it was delicious! The margarita sauce had a touch of sweetness to it. The mozzarella sticks were standard but in a yummy way. I was worried since when I went in (late, after 9pm), they were mopping the floor and it smelled of cleaning product and just seemed gross that they were mopping while people were cooking. So I’m glad the food turned out fresh tasting and yum.
If you are a small group, the family special is a steal for $ 25.

No wonder the pizza here is so good the guy who owns it use to work and make the pizza at Pizza Classica. If you haven’t been here yet go you won’t be disappointed.

It’s been rough finding a good pizza delivery place in Forest Hills since I’ve moved here. I was craving some baked ziti and wasn’t expecting much, considering I have been disappointed by the same dishes at other places. The baked ziti was cheesy and delicious! Perfect sauce to cheese ratio.
Dante’s is good in my book, thus far. Looking forward to trying their pizza.

Why is this place so great?!?
I was astounded. It’s so low key, but it is the best single slice pizza joint I’ve ever been to. I remember the pizza I had here and lament that it’s in Queens.
The regular slice was greasy in that legit NYC pizza kind of way, and cooked to a perfect crisp. Too many places don’t heat pizza up long/​hot enough, but Dante’s does. It has a distinctly very sweet sauce, but it was great in its own way.
But their grandma slice — yes. Yes. $ 3.25 I think? So good, my friend and I went back and got a second slice an hour after our first.
I will definitely go back. Whenever I’m in Queens. Which tbh isn’t a lot. But I can’t wait to.

Delicious pizza, fast service, nice employees. I really like this place. They have good old fashioned pizza. I ordered five pizza’s they were done in 25 minutes the time that was quoted and they called me when they were reDy because they didn’t want the pizza to dry out. And finally they very kindly helped to bring the pizza to my car. I will definitely go back here again!

Stopped in for a quick slice and was blown away. The quality of the slice, freshness of the sauce and, most importantly, the thinness of th slice and having it perfectly well done, made my day.
Nothing is worse than an undercooked slice, and here at Dantes, you won’t get one.
Add in a nice Fanta and my day was made!

They say that you gotta Give to Receive, give up something for a better future something. Such is my interpretation.
With a potent line up of gourmet slices sitting behind the pizza glass, at the ready, I quickly kick around the pros and cons of consuming three slices, four is not out of the question either. All the exotic slices are heavy with fresh ingredients, all the regular slices are perfectly balanced in flavor to my liking, with a symphony of sauce, cheese over a thin, crisp, load bearing crust.
What’s the association being made to Dantes Pizza you ask?
Few pizza parlors have the – ‘IT’ factor regarding outstandingly delightful gourmet and house slices, it seems both can be good but not great or one is great, the. other – not so great.
Each and every Dantes meal I’ve Ever had has exceeded the bar set forth upon Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Rego Park, Middle Village.
Decisions are easy when every menu choice has been a winner for me-​every bites been thoroughly enjoyed. At Dantes, everything is freshly made from the best quality ingredients, served up hot and fast.

Visited Dante’s when I was in the neighborhood last week. A couple of friends and I ordered a pie (can’t go wrong with pepperoni and mushroom) and a salad, and we were not disappointed. This is a great go-​to pizzeria if you live in the area, and they also have other things on the menu like pasta! There’s a good amount of seating and the staff is friendly! I’ll be back.

The place is very clean, most people come for take out — as did I.
The staff is friendly but I wouldn’t say chatty.
We ordered a large pizza pie (½ Reg ½ Margheritta — how they spell it) for $ 17.
The plain was good, fresh made and piping hot.
The margheritta was a bit soggy, but still ok.
Always happy to support local restaurants! Can’t wait to try all the other pizzas they offer!
