Cheirif Simon, DDS – Kids Only Dental

Last Thursday night my very active toddler son slipped in the bath and hit his mouth on the edge of the tub. I was horrified! My husband stopped the bleeding and calmed him down. I immediately started to make phone calls. I tried our in-​network pediatric dental provider but it was after hours and I got the answering machine so I left my number. {Our in-​network dentist still has not returned my call to even ask how he’s doing! That’s a whole other story and Unilocal review!}
Next, I remembered that Kids Only Dental visited my daughter’s preschool to give a presentation on dental hygiene. Thank goodness I bookmarked their info on Unilocal!I called the main number and got the emergency line. Called the emergency line and Dr. Angie Chin promptly answered. Dr. Chin, reviewed our incident over the phone and helped to ease my nerves! She answered all my questions and I never felt rushed. She told me to come in first thing the next morning. I wasn’t sure if they were in our insurance network so Dr. Chin said she’d have somebody from the office contact me.
Talk about quick! Only about 5 – 10 minutes later Joann called me back to answer my insurance questions. Unfortunately, they are not in-​network but Joann reviewed the price breakdown and it was reasonable so I opted to self-​pay.
Fast forward through my sleepless night. My husband dropped me off at the intersection so he could find parking. I had difficulty locating their office. When I called, Patty, the office manager was super sweet and stayed on the phone and gave me step by step walking directions!!!
The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and bright. Dr. Chin did an exam and reviewed the X-​rays and it seems there is a small chip on his tooth. Dr. Chin was awesome with my fussy toddler. She was patient, kind, and playful with him. Terrific bedside manner. We go back in one month for a follow up.
I highly recommend Kids Only Dental! Now I just need to switch to insurance they accept!!!

We saw Dr. Chin for 6 year old’s two baby teeth extractions. The experience was incredible, I cannot say enough good things about the office, its staff and the doctor. First, let me say that my daughter has sensitivities with anything that has to do with her mouth and usually throws fits in doctors’ offices. This office has a treasure box for kids to get little toys from after the procedure is over, the staff is very nice and makes kids feel comfortable, the doctor knows her business and is sooo great with kids. They give them sunglasses so that the examination lamp does not shine into their eyes, while pulling teeth out, they give them laughing gas just for a few minutes and it completely calms the child down but they are absolutely fine afterwards, they also give a child a plush toy to hold on to during the procedure to put them at ease. The whole process takes less than 10 minutes and it is so painless for the child and the parents. With my mommy paranoia, I was at ease seeing my child being comfortable physically and emotionally and when she was done, she asked me when can we come back here again, that’s a sign that this office knows what it’s doing.

Drs. Simon and Chin are delight professionals to work with. I am an orthodontist in Forest Hills gets referral patients from this pediatric dentistry office. I only hear complements from their patients — how they are treated like family and all the staff are kind including doctors. And the best thing is that all the patients have excellent oral hygiene!
When I visited the office, it was a pleasant experience. I loved the décor of the office and Pat, the office manager, was very friendly yet professional. I would highly recommend this office to anyone who seeks a pediatric dentist.

My daughter saw Dr. Angie Chin. Normally Myaha is very anxious. Once she was seated it was explained to her in detail (as much as a 7 year old could handle). Myaha had an amazing experience. While I sat with my eyes closed very tightly, she injected her with local Novocain, never a peep from Myaha. I would highly recommend Dr. Cheirif’s office to anyone looking for a caring pediatric dentist.
