Austin Farms

So much haterade on this awesome little market! Obviously not a place you’re going to trek to for your weekly shopping or specialty items but if you’re within a 3 min walk of this place, it’s open 24 hours and has an amazing selection. Great beers, a ton of random Asian goodies (snacks, cooking items) and reliable produce for when you’re short an onion, some limes/​lemons or just craving some fruit or veggies that you’re going to immediately eat. Clerks are also pretty friendly and hilarious once you get to know them! In short, this place has been a godsend for all my times of need whether that’s a random grocery item I forgot to grab, a mid party beer run, late night caffeine and sugar boost for an all nighter or post hangover munchies and hydration. Thanks for always being open!

Besides the fact the produce is usually rotten and overpriced. There is one Asian man who has the same look on his face regardless if its a funeral, Valentine’s Day or new year. He looks like he’s about to murder you have, for no apparent reason god forbid you say hello. None the less it is a convenient location only if the products were any good half the time the stuff is expired they will sell it to you for a cheaper price on the stuff that’s not expired will be on average $ 1 more.

A good mini market close to home .Good selection of beers. and fruit. Always opened 24 hours and holidays. Expensive.

Very expensive beer!!!

Rego Park and Forest Hills have a bunch of these large grocery stores.
Bigger than a bodega, but not quite supermarket size, this is a happy medium.
Great selection of beer. Clean and well-​organized. Produce seems to be fresh and fairly priced.
They even deliver! Irrelevant for me, as I live across the street, but still helpful.
I’ll probably still do my large scale food-​shopping at Met and Costco, but glad to have this nearby for smaller things.
