A & R French Cleaning

This dry cleaner is one of the reasons I’m glad I live here. I’ve been bringing clothes here for 15 years – the proprietor is courteous, the turnaround time works for me, the stains come out (or he warns me if they’re not likely to so I can try something else), tailoring is precise and expert, and nothing has been lost or damaged. And prices are reasonable.

Great family run cleaner. Owner is super organized and has a photographic memory for clothes. I will never forget the time one of my blouses got lost and he remembered which one it was and described it to me. Even I did not remember! Only drawbacks are it takes 5 days to get your order back, they close at 7 pm on Saturday and are closed on Sunday, and a little far from the neighborhood center. Wish I still lived in the area so I could continue coming here.

This is a solid place. Well I only take dress shirts for wash and press (1.75 a piece) and I’m always satisfied with the result. The owner is friendly and helpful.

This place is a wonderful local dry cleaner. The gentleman that works behind the counter is a one-​man powerhouse. He is there from 7 – 7 Monday through Friday, 9 – 5 on Saturdays and is there later doing alterations after closing. All clothes are very well cleaned and handled promptly and assigned a cute little hand made ticket. He also welcomes back older hangars. Prices are very reasonable as well, more so than the rest of the neighborhood.
Word of advice — I would not recommend bringing specialty items such as leather coats or jackets, or ski jackets, and to his credit, he even discourages you from doing so. I should have taken his advice. (1) It is disproportionately expensive. (2) A leather jacket came back with a large tear down the back which can’t be repaired. It was brought in because it smelled of smoke and had hardly been worn. It was not in any state of disrepair.
