LOVE this place. Every time I go, I wonder why I don’t go more often. I’m a beer snob, and this place never lets me down — they always have a terrific selection of beers, and the staff is happy to guide me on what I should order based on my taste. I love the in-a-garage ambiance, I love when it’s bring-your-instrument night, and I particularly love when bluegrass is played. If you’re lucky, you end up on a night when there’s a food cart right outside. Clean, well-kept bathrooms and friendly clientele. It can get very crowded, but most people are happy to share their table with you if there’s some chairs available at theirs. We’re so lucky to have this just a few blocks from our house — we can just do the Waltz shuffle all the way home. If they had a pool table, we’d live there.

Started off with the Larrys IPA, then move to a 50⁄50 of Larry’s and a Little Bitter. Both were great. But what makes Waltz a fun evening is just the rustic coolness of the place. They’re not trying hard to be anything. The place just is who it is and that’s what makes it great.

I’m glad to have Waltz in FG and appreciate what they do to enliven a pretty stagnant downtown. Friendly staff and patrons, as well as local musical talent, make for a fun evening. I haven’t been thrilled with the Waltz beers, but always manage to find a guest tap to quench my thirst.

Waltz was like a gift to Forest Grove. There beers are fantastic and switch every week. Except a few that are always on the menu like there fantastic Kolch. The atmosphere is fun and chill and the bar tenders are always really nice and let you try samples. I’ve had a lot fun trying beers around Portland but waltz will always be one of my favorite bars:)

Great taps, especially their own brews. Cool vibe, though I generally use it as my growler station … a welcome addition to our little town!

Super cool atmosphere, delicious brews, and excellent live music! Very cozy and comfortable spot where the crowd is friendly and cordial. Plenty of street parking available and homemade sweet and savory pies. They have a very long list of beers on tap with ample variety; any beer drinker(or even wine drinker as they offer that as well) will have no trouble finding something that pleases the palate. Definitely worth a visit, and will likely become one of your favorite hangouts.

Great local spot. Good drinks, friendly people and we love the live music. It’s also cool that they have food trucks outside(certain nights) and they allow you to bring your food in so you can eat, drink and listen to good music.

oh … as a wine or vodka lover in a beer drinking state… it is hard to find places you are totally comfortable but Waltz is perfect. The place is warm and the staff is outgoing and fun. A ton of beer to choose from(20 or so), cider options as well as a red and white wine. I stick with the white wine and taste the occasional beer or cider if someone recommends it. Giant Jenga… interesting record selection for sale… some days have live music(a bit too loud if you are looking for an intimate evening) and others are just chill conversation nights. You can bring your own food, which is helpful since a bottle of wine begs for some snacks to go with it ^_^ All in all, if I am in Forest Grove, I am likely at Waltz.

They have a huge selection of micro brews. They recently started brewing their own beer and had 3 different variations when I was in there last week. The atmosphere is very played back and no loud music. It is a nice place to enjoy good microbrews with your friend.

We accidentally stumbled upon this diamond in the rough one warm Thursday night. And have been here every Thursday since! I get a warm welcome when I walk through the door and the sweet guy behind the bar hands me a glass of white wine.(I know, this is a tap room, but I don’t drink beer) my husband says the variety of beer is great! He gets a growler to take home and savor. You really can’t go wrong with this gem.

Forest Grove’s best kept secret! Thursday night live music! 21 beers on tap! This place is awesome. The atmosphere is always positive and upbeat. They fill growlers too! The staff is helpful with beer choices and always has great beer advice. I highly recommend coming down to sit by the fire and drink a beer or 6!

Oh my gosh — yesssss. You miggghhhttt have to be a Pacific Northwesterner to understand how f$&@ing epic this place is. But I urge all others to jump on board and see it for what it is — this place is perfect for beers, warmth, friends and conversation. What else could you possibly need? Food? They let you BYOF(bring your own food). You mean I can take my bag of Doritos and eat them while I drink beer? F$&@ing Genius.

What do 21 taps and 300033lp’s have in common? Waltz Brewing of course… A fun little taproom with the biggest taster tray you’ll ever see! You can try all 21 taps for a dollar a taste, all named, all on one tray. Now that’s diversity. With the same amount of diversity, browse the many bins of classic albums; peruse covers featuring more shag hairdos and cheekiness than an Austin Powers movie. While I enjoyed the live music, it made it hard to have a conversation with friends as the space is small and full of hard surfaces. A small criticism at least. A summertime patio. Friendly staff. Bring your own food and/or wine(for a reasonable corkage fee). It all adds up to a great addition for Forest Grove.

Absolutely love the variety! What a great place for our quiet little town. Great beers and ciders on tap. Ask for snacks if you get hungry. They allow outside food as well! Keep up the great work!

More beer on tap than their own which is a good sign of a confident brewer. Start with the Waltz Session Ale, refreshing and just enough hops. The Bull Run bramble berry cider is a surprise. Berry upfront but a dry finish and a gorgeous cranberry hue. This a place long needed in Forest Grove.

Great place, great atmosphere, cool people, good beer, etc. Only critique is the whole running out of beer thing. If you consistently run out of what people like and force them to choose one of the four stout beers on tap you’ll lose customers. Not everyone likes strong heavy beer. Keep the staples in stock and you’ll keep customers and increase their frequency. Other than that I like what you guys are doing.

The Hoppy habits of Home Brewing have finally came to light. Once a dream and now a reality Waltz has finally taken off, although the hand crafted beers crafted by the owners has yet to start flowing. They do have a great array of local brews for your taste and enjoyment. Stop by and listen to some classy vinyl(which can also be bought) and quench your thirst! Prost!
