I am In Forest City for a two week trip to visit relatives. I had wifi from a neighbor for the first week and all of a sudden, it was gone. I called the library and they have free, secure wireless for anyone. You need not be a resident of the borough nor the county. The Forest City Library is part of the Susquehanna County Library System. It’s a small space on Main Street, but there’s a nice table with four chairs on a landing above the main floor. The librarian gave me the sheet with the password. She was very polite when I phoned to see if it was available, and she was just as pleasant in person. There is not a large selection of books, but I was surprised by how much was in this relatively small space. A borrower came in and checked out the Hangover DVD. You have to love a library that keeps that DVD in stock. I spent an hour catching up on the outside world. I now have my wifi back from the neighbor who returned from a two day getaway, but I’ll stop into the library before I go home and say thanks once again!
