West Valley Material Recovery Facility

This is a multi-​featured, full-​service facility for collecting trash and organic waste. It’s massive — probably the largest such facility in southern California. It accepts everything from construction debris to standard refuse. The complex is segmented into areas that accept specific kinds of waste: organic and wood materials, concrete, standard waste, recyclables and trash.
It’s an industrial facility that is both used by commercial haulers and is open to the public. So, you can fill a pickup truck with whatever materials you need to dispose, bring them here and offload them. Costs are by weight starting at a half-​ton and going up in increments of a thousand pounds. It is much cheaper than renting a dumpster to fill and have hauled away. It is, in fact, half the cost or less. That’s the great benefit!
