I was so surprised about the new change, the salon is under new management. The salon looks beautiful. Maura is an amazing hairstyles.

Extremely sad and disappointed at the fact that an appointment time was made and the stylist, Alonso, decided to leave before it hit the hour mark. Even more disappointing is that the stylist knew that I came from out of town (2.5 hours distance) as to no longer being a local from the area.
Alonso does amazing work, has a warming charm to him and is a master of his craft hence why I made the choice to come back to the town just to have an appointment set up with him. I guess the choice was made for me to look for a new stylist within my new location as to not being respected with time given to him. Hurting, as to I will be missing his great work and friendship!
To the local girls, definitely come and give this salon a try! Amazing work and attentive hair care given.

My sister recommended me to her hair stylist and I absolutely LOVE Alonso now and believe he is so talented. I’ve been to him twice now and have left feeling like I’m ready for a hair commercial! I don’t know why he’s not famous yet, but one day!!!

I was going to a hair Salon in Rialto Called Angeles for a year and half and so badly EVERY SINGLE time I let the hair stylist and owner Mari know what I wanted & that my main focus was eliminating the gold color and she pretty much always had excuses why certain things came out the way they did! I had it with this stylist when I went In on Wednesday again with a plan and I came
Out with NOTHING I asked for I had it! She pretty much took my money and done what she wanted with my hair. Some may say well why did you stay their so long. Well I figured she’s a hair stylist/​owner of her own business she has to know what she’s doing! DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!

Alonso is a really nice talented guy. When I started going to him he charged $ 25 for a haircut and blow dry which was insanely cheap. He raised his prices to $ 50 I was fine with it because I was happy with the cut. The first time I was unhappy was a morning appointment he showed up almost one hour late so he had to take care of his later appointments and me at the same time. He said he had just moved up the hill and he didn’t realize traffic was so bad. The next time I had a morning appointment which I sent a text with my number and the time to him earlier in the week per his request. I get to the appointment text him that I’m here and get a response back 20 min later that he completely forgot and he’s moving his remaining stuff. He apologized and said he could make time with me in the afternoon. I’m a busy person and value appointments. I wish him the best but I had to move on.

Since the day I started coming here Alonso had this special way of treating me. It’s not just me, he treats everyone with such care you feel like family. It’s so hard to find someone who genuinely cares about the health of your hair while still giving you what you want. Well let’s face it I don’t get what I always want here (thank god) because of his professional opinions but that’s what I appreciate! My hair is now back to bouncing :) come here for a reasonable price and a memorable experience that’ll leave you feeling

I’ve been going to my same hairdresser for many years but last week I made a bold move, I tried this new salon after reading the Unilocal reviews.
Prior to getting my hair done, I had a consultation with Elizabeth to ensure she knew exactly what I wanted. After working out the details she quickly got to work. I must say that the ratings on Unilocal are on point — I am very satisfied with the outcome, my hair is Spring ready, lol, I got a new hairstyle and highlights! Elizabeth is a sweetheart and her prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back :)
UPDATE: The owner of Salon Port 81 closed his doors but Elizabeth has taken over the suite. Same location, same great service, just different salon name! Elizabeth is currently seeing by appointment only so if you need her services, text or call her at (323) 509‑8418.

Okay this is pretty sad but I’m a pretty busy gal and I’ve been wanting to write a review about this place for about two months. Haha So here it goes.
Alonso is AMAZING. I have curly, thick hair, Central American mess of a hair and for those of us with curly hair, it’s hard to find someone who knows how to work with our hair. I usually straighten out my hair, so many believe my hair is just thick. However, all Alonso had to do was touch it and he already knew it was curly. He gave me one of the best scalp massages (you know the type that makes your eyes roll back. Yeah! One of those) and my hair cut is perfect for when I want to wear it straight or keep my curls.
He definitely knows what he’s doing.
As for customer service. That’s also a plus. He kept me talking and really trying to get to know me as a person. He even shared how he became a hairstylist and an owner of his salon. Which I thought was pretty cool.
The other girls there are just as nice, and I saw what they did on the other customers hair and they did a great job too
In all, this place is amazing, and I plan to go back for a trim in two weeks.

I will be coming back here. They did a great job cutting my hair. They did exactly what I asked for. I left extra happy with my shiny silky hair. I recommend this place to get anything done. Thank you!

Today, I decided to try this place to get my hair done. And I am glad I did! I went from light orange ugly color to a beautiful auburn. And I only have one person to thank. And that is none other than Alonso, he made me feel beautiful. I will be coming here for as long as I can.

I love my hair. It’s been a long time since I loved my hair cut. Maura did a great job. I got what I wanted and more. I Unilocaled this place before I came and I’m glad that it did not disappoint. Definitely will come back. Thank you. :)

Came to town to visit my family. I was unable to get my hair done prior to the visit. Since my mom also needed a touch up I decided to try something local. We made reservation and when we walked in Elizabeth and Maura was available. Elizabeth did my moms and was very thorough. Maura was stylist and I love my transformation (see pictures below) Great overall experience and great prices for what we had done! I really wish I lived close cause I would definitely come back!!!

This is another review for Elizabeth. I went in to have my hair dyed. I wanted brown and I wanted to get rid of my previous red dye from a box I did myself. #1 never use hair dye from a box on your hair #2 never use RED hair dye from a box! It was such a B**ch to keep that red from coming thru. Elizabeth did such an amazing job! She went above my expectations. She did not give up when the first attempt didn’t hide the red and she was honest with me and gave me other options we could try. She consulted with Alonzo to make sure she was able to achieve what I wanted and she did! I walked out loving my new hair color and Elizabeth for giving me what I wanted and not giving up.

$ 50 for a «haircut» no wash no blow out no treatment. When you walk in ask for a price first second only go to the stylist with recommended reviews. I’m still in shock at the ridiculous price I was asked to pay. I’ve been to way higher upscale professional salons with highly recognized reputable stylists such as Salon 3778 in Riverside and they don’t even charge $ 50 for a haircut nevertheless not complete a full haircut service.
I’m more than disappointed because when I first called to ask the price for a haircut I was told «$ 35 and it includes a blow out and a treatment» which was definitely not what I received. The cut was not that great either. She did cut my dry ends however the layers are not even they don’t even look like layers. Just a horrible experience.
I have definitely learned my lesson I will be patient and book my appointment ahead of time with my stylist.

Here im posting a picture of the amazinggggg job Elizabeth did on my hair! She has been the only one that has been able to match my roots to my hair color. I am so in love with Elizabeth’s work, it’s just so impressive how she not only can give you ideas to do with your hair, with product she’s never used before but is definitely not afraid to use it ! As far as hair cuts, amazing! she only cuts the what’s necessary not like other hairdressers that just chop as much as they what.

I came in to get my hair cut and colored by Alonso. After reading all his Unilocal reviews, I knew I would be in good hands. When I walked in he greeted me with a hug. Alonso took his time listening to my ideas, and executed them to the fullest! My hair turned out fabulous! (I did post photos of my ombré hair with layers) He is very passionate about his work and enjoys being a stylist. I would highly recommend.
