Stay far away from this guy. My fireplace was converted to fire glass(by a friend who wanted to do this for me as a favor/gift), but the job did not go smoothly, and the fireplace was unusable. I contacted Nathan at Loveridge Remodeling who assured me he can fix the problem, and remodel it. I decided to have it converted it to stacked stone and repaint it inside and out along with the repair work. DONOTPUTTIMEASIDEFORTHISMANTODOYOURWORK. YOUWILLWASTEYOURTIME!!! Nathan scheduled 3 different 9 hour days with me, and showed up for none of them. I called to confirm the first date the night before, and he said he did not have my information including the time that he was supposed to be there, or my address, because«I smashed my phone in a fight with my wife» and then said he had to cancel. All of this after I’d went through considerable rearrangement of my own schedule to accommodate his preferred day. With much apology, he scheduled a 2nd date, again requiring that I block off 9 hours, and I again I juggle my schedule. Again I text the night before to confirm, and this time he said«I dropped my phone in the water» so again he didn’t know what time, date or address we were to do the work. Again, he canceled saying that he was unable to get there that day and wanted to reschedule. I asked him if he was sure that he wanted to do this job, thinking maybe he thought it wasn’t a big enough job, but not wanting to waste any more of my time. Only because I was desperate for this service because I had not yet found someone who could do the repair I needed, I scheduled one last time. I texted him to confirm the quoted price, and he told me that the original quote did not include materials, although I had a text saying that it was the total. Nevertheless I figured I would be fine with paying for materials separately, because maybe it was just a misunderstanding, and oh yeah, I want this thing done!!! Jeez. But he says he will cover the material cost in the quoted price. Ok. I won’t turn it down. The night before, I again texted him to confirm and he says he has not picked out paint yet. Wanting to make sure that this gets done once and for all the following day, I volunteer to go get paint on my lunch hour from work. He sends me to a place in Corona, that as it turns out, is a tile store, not a paint store. Again, he profusely apologizes, and promises that the work will be so beautiful, that it would make up for all of the headache thus far. I have no idea what the whole thing with the paint was all about. Later that night, I get a text«I’m going to pass on this job.» No explanation. I was stunned and asked why, and he didn’t respond. So 3 different days, 27 hours total, I cleared my schedule for this guy for absolutely nothing. He made excuses of cell phone issues including erratic behavior smashing one in a temper, and being busy with other work. Then he abruptly canceled the entire job with no reason whatsoever, and will not respond to 2 request asking why he changed his mind. This guy’s lack of professionalism, from«I smashed my phone in a fight with my wife» to «I’m going to pass on this job» at the last minute, is ridiculous. Maybe he does good work. I’ll never know. And knowing what I know now, I would never waste my time again trying to find out. I’d give zero stars if possible, for zero work and a lot of unnecessary headache.
