It’s a little«hole in the wall» sometimes these are the best places to eat. Service was good. I had a mole de olla which is a soup with vegetables, beef and pork in a delicious spicy red caldo. It was delicious. My husband had the liver with onions. Looked great but I don’t eat liver. He loved it. It’s good home cooking! I would eat there again. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is because it’s truely a hole in the wall. I think this place would benefit from a remodel. But food was great!

This the only place I come to for Steak Picado Burritos. My former boss used to(probably still does) send his secretary all the way from Riverside specifically to this place to buy Steak Picado Burritos for everybody at the Impound Yard. A few times he treated the Wife and I to a meal here as well, and I tried some of the other plates as well, but I really only come here for the Picado now. The service here is kind of weak. It seems like you have to approach them, after they have finished conversing with whoever is in there visiting them at the time. At least thats my experience. If not, they will eventually get to you asking«for here?» as if you sat at a table at the back of the restaurant to scream your«to-go» order at them. Of course its for here. They do treat you differently if you don’t speak Spanish, as I have seen the attitude of a couple of Waitresses vary from table to table based on this. So the Steak Picado, this burrito is amazing no matter what the service is. Its like a semi-runny steak fajita, with beans and a grip of cheese. So much yum. The steak tastes great, the cooked onions are left with a little crunch left on them, the beans(refried) taste better than most, but its the grip of cheese that they put in it that kind of makes this burrito. I get a craving for one every few months or so, and make my way out here even though I live about 15 miles away. I have had the Siete Mares here as well, and I am not a fan. Very brothy, with a pungent fish smell that doesn’t compliment the bowl at all. The crab was overcooked and the meat within was mushy. I didn’t even finish it. I have twice had the Carne Asada plate, and I got something different both times. The first time I got a beautiful piece of juicy steak, cut thin of course, but it tasted wonderful, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It even came with a nice chunk of Nopale that was pretty good. A few months later I ordered the same dish and got a hunk of meat overcooked and tough. No Nopale. Suffice it to say, that was when I decided to stick with Steak Picado from now on when I come here, because they ARE that good. The chips & salsa here are great! The salsa is tasty, and with plenty of heat. The chips are warm, thin, and well salted. They give you a small plate of lime wedges with them, and the chips taste even better with a small squirt of lime juice on them. Plenty good. If you order water at this restaurant MAKESURE you get bottled water. Because the tap water here tastes like it was ladled out of a storm drain in Flint, Michigan. Nasty. I wouldn’t even get the Iced Tea here because it was obviously made with the same water. The parking situation here is a challenge if its busy. If I’m in my personal vehicle I would rather park on the street than the back parking lot, where no doubt some drunk Paisa will end up dinging your car trying to maneuver his oversized Ford«Lobo» or whatever out of the cramped space. But I usually come here in a semi-truck anyways. There enough places to park your rig around here, but the ideal spot to park an 18-wheeler to eat here is on the westbound side of Valley, just east of the restaurant in front of the equipment rental place, and the«massage» parlor people go to for a «happy» day. All in all, I still come here every few months when I can. Worth a try. Its a crap shoot.

There only one thing I come for when I go the Cascada and that their Siete Mares. Hands down the best in Fontana. Service could suck sometimes.

The lengua is why I come to La Cascada. It takes a bit for your food to come out but when it does… I’m willing to bet that it’s the best lengua you’ve ever had. It’s a huge plate, comes with rice, beans and homemade corn tortillas. The service is good and although it’s not a «nice» restaurant, I will keep coming back for the lengua.

Love this place! They serve authentic Mexican food and everything I’ve ever ordered is always bomb! My fav are the chilaquilles with a scrambled egg. The restaurant is a little hole in the wall that used to be a home many many years ago lol. Don’t let the outside fool u, the food is delish! The prices are reasonable, with the exception of the carne asada plates. A carne asada quesadilla with guacamole is $ 13.95, pretty pricey. The parking is limited so avoid going during lunch/dinner time. Overall, the food is tasty and that’s what brings me back time after time :)

I was seriously a bit concerned whether we were knocking on someone’s front door when I saw the outside. But once we got in, it looked like a mom and pop hole in the wall place. I got the chili Colorado and the guy got a carne asada burrito. Both super flavorful and and delicious. Tortillas are also chewy and fresh.

For being a hole in the wall place, it’s exceptionally delicious. Everything here is good except the ceviche. Home made corn tortillas is the way to go. I’m not gonna lie but I come here at least 2 – 4 times a month. Customer service is okay and the appearance of the location can be better.

Love the food and the service. The atmosphere of this place is like being in Mexico. I love the flavor, seasoning and the presentation of the food is genuine and home made. This place gets 12 stars out of ten.

The food here is authentic and delicious. Love the Siete Mares, no other place makes it like these guys. It’s a hole in the wall, not your ideal spot for a romantic dinner, but it’s clean and the service is nice.

I have been going to this place since I was five years old. The waitresses have for the most part all been working there for just as long. They are very sweet and always remember me and my family. As soon as we come in they know what we want to drink and they bring a separate salsa cup for each of us because they know we don’t share. The food is GREAT and the chips and salsa are the best. My fave dish is #20 the lengua. I’ve never had it better anywhere else. It’s always full of flavor and the flour tortillas that come with it heaven. Their chicken tacos are also very good. Always fully stuffed with meat cheese and lettuce and full of flavor. This is my favorite place for chicken tacos. The #9 chile verde is delicious. When you get the plate you will notice that the food isn’t very«verde» but don’t let that bother you because I’ve literally tried chile verde at a lot of different restaurants and none of them compare to this one. Shrimp cocktail is really good if you don’t feel like having a large meal. From the outside it looks like a hole in the wall but once you go in and try the food you will not be disappointed! And don’t listen to whoever wrote a bad review two months ago. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about! GREATPLACE !!

Do Not Visit This Place! Terrible food and the customer service is worse than the food! We asked the waitress about a an item on the menu and her response was«read the menu, i will be back after you do» We figured she was just having a bad day and that hopefully the food was better than the customer service but it was not. There are so many good mexican restraunts in fontana and this one is definitely not one of them! Trust me, do not waste your time or money!

Seriously good. Had the Huevos Rancheros and an asada taco. Washed it down with a huge glass of Horsham. I’m so glad this spot is walking distance from my house! Like others have said, don’t let the outside fool you. I brought my beyond skeptical brother, but I knew this spot was good from the reviews here. He left more satisfied than he expected to be. If you’re ever in the area, hit this place up, you won’t regret it.

Outstanding food! Been here a few times, don’t judge it’s book but it’s cover. Being a rice connoisseur, it’s on point. The burrito mojado is my favorite. Although could be an easy 5 star but service is huge for me and that cute server lacks it. You shouldn’t have to walk to the counter for a refill our a to go box. Will return for their amazing food!

This is the best hole-in-the-wall I have ever eaten at. The cheese enchiladas are the most amazing thing in Fontana. So if you have to go there eat here. So good.
