5 Star Pizza & Chicken

I have lived in Fontana since 1999 and first discovered Five Star Pizza then. Was and still is the best pizza place in town! Hands down! Only thing, I miss when the toppings were under the cheese. But, even still i gotta say this is the best pizza and pretty friendly staff. Good Job!

Oh you know, just trying to order pizza. Called them and was hung up on. No big deal. Won’t order from here anymore.

Wide selection of food. Great pizzas and great owners. Also they have fantastic Indian good options upon request. I recommend the picosas and samosas.

Pizza dough was made to perfection.
Ordered 2 pizzas: 1^st mushroom & Canadian bacon 2^nd bbq chicken onions and cheese. Both were amazing.
Also ordered 4 types of wings: mango habanero, honey bbq, teriyaki and buffalo. All were perfect and delicious! My favorite was the mango habanero.
Lastly we had the fried chicken and potato wedges and yet again they were delicious.
All in all, this place will give the commercial and the few smaller pizza shops a run for their money. Without a doubt. They also offer a large verity of sandwiches, specialty french fries and more. We can’t wait to go back.

I love mozarrella sticks but these are disgusting ! The cheese doesn’t melt at all the breading is disgusting ! The marinara sauce is cold !

Let me start by saying: my husband and I eat out very frequently. We are actually discussing having our own TV show about restaurants. So we have a wide variety of restaurants to judge from.
Having said that…
For starters: ANY PIC ON HERE WITHOUT THE NAME OF THE PERSON POSTING IT IS NOT A PIC OF THEIR FOOD/​ESTABLISHMENT. AND ALL THE PICS WITH THE BLUE/​WHITE TABLECLOTH ARE NOT FROM HERE.
We ordered the 2 slice pizza and drink combo, as well as the 8 chicken wings (original) + fries.
POSITIVES: Good customer service. Fries are The Bomb.
NEGATIVES: pizza is (must be) frozen. It’s flat and doughy like a frozen pizza, Mediocre AT BEST.
Chicken wings have no flour; fried «naked», meaning they throw the wings in oil w/​o breading of any kind.
It’s not very clean; I should have taken photos.
Overpriced when compared to quality of food. I’d expect this quality of food on a $ 1 menu.

I am so disappointed with the service I received today. I called at 6:30 PM to place an order for carry-​out. The lady on the phone told me my order would be ready for pick-​up in 25 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later. When I arrived, I waited for 15 minutes until I asked how long more it would take because it had already been 45 minutes since I ordered. The man told me to wait 10 minutes. I waited with a 4 year-​old who was very hungry. I waited another 15 minutes and it was 7:30 at this point. I asked the man how long more it would take because my little brother was getting impatient. He asked the lady in the back and she told me that she just started making the pizza. I asked her why they told me it would be ready when it would not be. She told me that she received 10 different orders at the same time and she can’t do anything about it in a very rude tone. I told her that I do not want the pizza anymore because I cannot afford to wait an additional 20 minutes with a starving child. She said okay take your money, I don’t care. I have other pizzas to make. She was not only showing me attitude, but also yelling at me for being upset about the situation.
I am so aggravated that someone could treat their customers that way especially when there is a young child with them. There was another lady waiting with two small children whose order should have also been made by now. She spoke up when I complained and said that this is not how customers should be treated. I am uncertain whether or not she left, but I immediately left after receiving my money.
I am usually a very patient person, but today I did not receive the respect any customer deserved. I drove over 20 minutes to get pizza from this place. I will never come back to this place!

This place has one of the best unique tasting pizzas out their it taste so fresh I got a delivery a couple days ago they told me it would take 30 to 40 min. I was like OK no prob. I can just say this place is amazing to me I defiantly will get my pizza here again and again their wing with bone in are bomb to don’t forget the different flavors !!! Worth my money ;)

So it was late and I just simply wanted a medium bbq pizza but all the GOOD chain pizza places like Pizza Hut and Dominos were not available. I Unilocaled a pizza place and this is the only one that came up. «Wow, the price is ($) only. I think I’ll get my food from here.»
BIG MISTAKE.
So just because something seems cheap doesn’t mean its good. LESSON LEARNED. I call and order in and it seemed alright first until they asked for my address. I mean it didn’t bother me that I had to repeat it about 5 times, but when they actually were on their way, (about 40 min after I called) the guy got lost. Down the street. With Google Maps. Like r u srs mayte? Anyways, he called me about 100 times telling me he was lost and he was really close by. I’m not good with directions so I tried my best to keep my chill and stay sweet. I was trying so hard to be nice so he wouldn’t try some shady stuff like spitting in my food.
Oh and the food? I ordered on Unilocal but it didn’t work so that’s why I called. Online, it came out to be $ 18. But when I called, they made it $ 22 WITH THE SAME DAMN ORDER. Like uhmm according to my calculations… you sound dumb. So when I honestly just wanted food so they guy came and handed me the pizza. And also some breadsticks and tomato sauce. Wut? I didn’t order this¿? Whatever. So yeah. Just get Pizza Hut guys. Same price, better service and food.

The is the worst place ever… the delivery was late, forgot my soda and said we will give you one next time… then open the food and potato wedges and chicken were burned!

Whenever I visit my folks up in Fontana, I usually eat here at 5 Star, at least once. It’s very close to their apartment (walking distance, about 5 minutes) and the food is pretty good. I had tried it, the first time, because I was hungry and disabled. My parents never have anything but Applesauce and String Cheese; also, I can’t walk too far (or good) and I can’t drive. So I went out, originally to 7 – 11, but I noticed this place on the way, and the rest is history!
Pros: They offer a $ 5 Pizza deal and also a $ 1 Slice Of Pizza deal! The pizza is pretty good. Not the best you’ll ever have, but it’s decent. Usually, it’s heavily topped with cheese, but not alot of sauce. I like my pizza with alot of both but for $ 1 a slice, I can’t really complain too much. The menu is just awesome! Besides pizza, they offer sandwiches, hamburgers, chicken, nuggets, salads — hell, even freaking PIE!!! Also, they have the most topping choices for pizza BY FAR! The prices are really fair to cheap too! True, I never order more than I can afford, but it’s not 5 Stars fault that I live on a budget! The nuggets are really good and my favorite item by far. I believe it’s about $ 4 for a 10 piece. I think only BK has a better deal at the moment. The cashiers/​employees that have served me have all been really nice and make the experience all the better. The wait time is fairly quick; I usually have my order ready in less than 10 minutes!
Cons: 5 Star Pizza is basically unknown; and the appearance is probably a big factor in that. They do have flyers and such, outside in the lot but they’re not too flashy. Not it’s fault, but it’s in a bad area too. That may have some effect on business, as the outside of the area is usually covered with beggars, homeless and those who are tweaked out of their mind! You can dine in, but there isn’t many tables to sit at and it can get pretty hot inside too! The food, like I said, is decent but maybe not the best you’ll eat. If you’re picky about your pizza, you might not like the way it is made here.
Overall, this little pizza place deserves a chance or two. It’s affordable and the workers are really nice. The food is decent and offers alot more than franchises like Little Caesars and such. Really big fan of this place! 4 Stars for 5 Stars!

This place is a great place a big menu of different food with good quality wonderful costumer service especially when dine in will Definitely be going back recommend it to all family and friends

Ordered pizza and chicken and hour and 6 minutes ago. I just called to check on my order that was supposed to take 30 – 40 minutes for delivery. The same lady that took my order tells me «yeah 45 – 55 minutes». I said «no you said it was 30 – 40 minutes and now it’s over an hour.» I asked for a discount and was given three dollars off. No pizza yet. Will update when it arrives and on the quality of the food.
Ok food just arrived an hour and 13 minutes late. It’s super hot at least. The driver apologized and said they were short drivers. The pizza is ok, potatoes taste old, and chicken is ok too. Probably won’t be ordering from here anytime soon again.

Would have loved to try the place, but I was told not to order. HUH.
Yea, so apparently, I’m like 3 blocks away but since I’m on the wrong side of the street «the driver doesn’t want to drive out that far.»
I then asked «So… Don’t place my order?» To which the person (I’m assuming he was the driver) said «yea SORRY we’re just short-​handed.»
Well, since they don’t need my money and are good enough to turn people away on a whim, I guess I don’t need to try this place out! To Big T Pizza I go.

Ordered pizza, chicken and potatoes for delivery… Had to ask if they only accepted cash because the girl said nothing on the phone… She then told me their machine was broken and they were only accepting cash, so I told her to cancel my order because I didn’t have cash on me… She then said oh let me do the card then… Ummm okay… Was told 45 mins… After an hour and a half my lukewarm food showed up… Driver did not give me a receipt or have me sign… Heck he didn’t even speak! Not one word… Weird… Pizza was pretty good… Chicken and potatoes were terrible!!! Will not order from this place ever again!

Five star never lets me down worth the drive worth the money never disappointed slices are always skinny but who cares great flavor love the fries and the wings over all beats most places around here suggested a female friendly person to answer phone it’s better to pick your own pizza since the business is small the food still taste the same the next day mmm

I live a new construction area and my address doesn’t come up on any map online. Pizza Hut and Dominoes didn’t want to take the time to actually figure out where I live and make money, but these guys did and the outcome was great! They had great customer service and the pizza showed up hot and ready! We ordered a deep dish pizza and it was really good! This is going to be out go to pizza place!
