Shanes Affordable Tree Service

He came out and did a verbal quote. Definitely the lowest of all quotes. My only issues were: 1) He claimed he had insurance but didn’t carry his numbers so I could not check this so far as I’m concerned it’s a claim still and not a fact 2) said he didn’t have workmans comp so if he got hurt on my property we could potentially be liable. 3) was doing the job completely by himself, I’m not sure how this is physically possible 4) said he would email me a written quote the next day with all his info and never did. This tells me he is either very unorganized or he didn’t have insurance after I told him that was a necessity and he wasn’t going to waste his time.
So all in all he is a nice kid but I’m doubtful of his insurance claims. And he needs a secretary to help him with the professional business side.

Shane was fantastic!!! We were still moving in when he came to trim the trees and he even helped me move something really heavy! A true gentleman! He was quick, efficient, left the yard super clean and did it all for a totally reasonable price. Hire this guy… he’s amazing!

Called Shane because of the reviews on Unilocal and he was close, but boy was I disappointed with the outcome. $ 1200 to cut down a Mulberry and cut down 4 small Privet trees. The first day two of his guys showed up and cut down three of the Privets and the portion of the Mulberry that had fallen into the yard. Because they didn’t know how to back up a truck with a flat bed trailer they parked across the street and then drug the trees down the side of the house across the drive way and across the street leaving leaving leaves and tree blossoms everywhere. Shortly after noon they said that they had to go and would be back in a week leaving the mess they had created. I spent the next hour + cleaning up their mess. The next week they came back with Shane and did a so-​so job and once again left a mess that I had to clean up. Right before they left I noticed that they had filled up both of my yard waste trash cans and also put their trimmings in my recycling trash can. They did everything but grind up the Mulberry stump. Shane said that he would be back in a week to grind the stump. Unfortunately I went ahead and gave him a check for the full amount of the job. Big mistake! Well needless to say he never showed up the next week. After calling every day for the next week and getting his voice mail I finally received a call from his bookkeeper informing me that he would not be back and could she send me $ 100 refund. I said no and said that I wanted to contact another company to see what it would cost to have the stump ground down. The quote came back at $ 250 so I called the bookkeeper back and told her and was told that she would have to get it approved by Shane. I had to call two more times and finally was told that a check was in the mail. A week later I received a check. Lesson learned. Do not use this company for your tree needs. Call Carlson’s Tree Care and you won’t be disappointed. I won’t use any other company from now on.

i had my doubts about using this tree service, young fellow so i didnt think he had the experience to handle my job, 4 trees 50+ feet and surrounding brush. he quoted me a reasonable price and went to work, i took off to run some errands and wen i returned the job was done just like he said, trees cut done stumps grinded down and brush was nicely cut back, to be honest i was very impressed and will be using this guy again,

This guy did a awesome job. I highly recommend him for any tree removal. His crew and himself worked hard and were very professional.

I called Shane to obtain a bid for the grinding of a couple stumps. Shane set up an appointment for several hours later, and the time was his suggestion.
I cannot comment on Shane’s performance because I never got that far. Shane never showed up, nor called to advise me he could not meet me. After waiting for him for over an hour past our meeting time, I finally left for another appointment I had, and which I was almost late for due to my waiting for Shane.
I will find another company to work with. Reliability and common courtesy are important to me.

I used Shane to trim many of my overgrown oak trees on my property. Shane showed up on time and did a fantastic job. His pricing was very reasonable. I am planing on having him back this spring to take down a few unhealthy trees. I would highly recommend Shawn to anyone who’s looking for tree services.

Shanes Affordable Tree service was fantastic very knowledgable and Shane’s bid was the lowest out of 3 that I got. I have already referred him to several friends and clients who loved his work as well. I can’t say enough great things about this company.
