I have been here several times without a bad experience. Today I enjoyed clam chowder for lunch. The soup was so creamy and delicious. Waitress was amazing. She made sure I was well taken care of. This is a great date night type of restaurant. Great for work parties and happy hour too.

I was there for the first time last night, 1÷27÷2016, for a birthday celebration. Right of the bat I was annoyed because my party and I had to wait at the hostess’ stand for a significant amount of time. There was another party waiting with us and she was nowhere to be seen. It wasn’t as if there were tons of people waiting to be seated so I knew she wasn’t busy. I ended up going to look for her and she was just standing near the bar. I approached her to enquire if she was the hostess to which she replied that she had been busy seating another party and she would be right with us. I had just seen her just standing around. She came over and seated us but she was anything but pleasant. When I opened my menu I noticed that I only had one page and everyone else had two. I asked our waiter for another menu since mine was incomplete and when he brought it back he apologized and mentioned she had just given another table an empty binder, I at least got half of it. She definitely is not on the ball and should really do a better job in her position. I am giving this place 4 stars because our server and the food made up for the ineffective hostess. A more attentive hostess would definitely be a plus.

We didnt have dinner reservations and were sitted at the oysters bar which is ok. My husband ordered clam chowder, he said it’s good, but didn’t wow him for the price charged. It’s not gluten free so I couldn’t order to have my own opinion. My salmon was very good even though I would eat a little bit bigger portion. My husband was happy with his Mahi Mahi risotto. Two guys that are working at the oysters bar don’t wear any gloves, I was really surprised. Haven’t mentioned yet that place is pricy.

We had a wonderful dinner late in evening. Beth provided us excellent service. I started off with the Ahi Poke lettuce wraps, which were very good and sushi grade. My sweetheart had the crab bisque that came out piping hot which she loved. She followed that with the main course of fish and chips. I had the mahi-mahi that was probably the best that I’ve had in California. The risotto with asparagus and bay shrimp was an excellent accompaniment, not to mention the excellent, soft sourdough bread. I would have had to of given Scotts five stars if they had Coke Zero, but I did settle for a Diet Coke. If it is any consolation, my wife would have given them five stars«because it was fantastic food and excellent service.» I would highly recommend if you’re in the Folsome area.

Scotts was amazing! From start to finish! The host Anna was so kind making our anniversary reservation. The service by Laurissa was impeccable, and the swordfish was a perfect balance with the coconut prawns! I highly recommend coming here for any occasion.

I went here for dinner last week and the food was good(going down). I ordered the salmon which was a thick cut and undercooked in the center. I thought that was not a big deal since I eat sushi often and that’s raw. About 6 hours later I woke up to the worst stomach cramps and spent the next 3 hours with horrible food poisoning(I won’t elaborate on those details). I wrote Scott’s the next day to ask if anyone else had complained about the same thing but never got a reply. Needless to say, that was the last time I will eat at Scott’s. Highly overrated in my opinion!

We headed to Scott’s for a pre Thanksgiving dinner last week. I’ve lived in the greater Sac area on and off for 30 years but never visited Scott’s. It was pretty danged good. It’s a bit old inside which isn’t terrible since we’re a bit old too. Lots of track lighting. We have that in our house too :) Other than the old kinda feeling inside, we were taken to our table by a window which was great. Oooppppsss… Someone’s leftover mashed potatoes on the arm chair and the floor. It was taken away and a busboy brought back another chair. Ok. No armchair. He was kind of pissy when asked about another armchair instead of what he brought back. Odd. He sucked. Our server though, Brad was totally great. He was friendly, very experienced and completely accommodating. Food and stuff was really good. Dirty, filthy martinis rocked. Nice wine list. Crabcakes were very good as were the various oysters. 10 thumbs up. Well, nobody has ten thumbs but they were super fresh and just good. Dinner. Fish Special was a terrific Mahi at $ 29 was excellent. Seafood Sauté at $ 30 was as good or better than anything I’ve had on Maui. Nice job! We even had dessert. The pumpkin cheesecake was really great. A Glenfiddich 15 and a 20 year old tawny finished off the night. Overall, this was a great experience. Just get rid of that busboy.

So, I’m really middle of the road here… Because I like this place, I love the food, I love the atmosphere… but… My husband and I started going here on an occasional date night, then we found out about this amazing thing called taco Tuesday’s… So we started making it a weekly thing where we would bring different friends every week to try it out. So the last couple times I’ve been there, they didn’t have any room for us at the bar, …and we couldn’t do Taco Tuesday in the restaurant side… And the staff is very rude about it. I don’t think I have ever, EVER experienced a more rude and inattentive bartender… And this is when we actually can get seating. We’ve waited up to 20 minutes before getting asked our drink order… And I don’t understand why? The place isn’t that big, he never seems THAT busy. I guess for food, I’d say go on any night BUT Tuesday, expect good food, don’t expect great service.

Best seafood in Folsom! The oysters are always fresh and the skirt steak is the best steak dish I’ve had in a long time. I mostly come in for taco Tuesday in the bar. Their fish tacos are just so addicting. The bar gets packed though but understandably the food is amazing and the service is exemplary. Brent made a great impression and as someone in the industry, my expectations are high and he definitely surpassed them. I go to a lot of local restaurant bars and Scott’s is easily my number one for not just the food but the service.

You can always expect fantastic service from Scotts. The atmosphere is really classy and beautiful. The bar is a great place to sit down and have a cocktail and a nice meal. I always sure to have a fun conversation and a lively interaction with the nearby patrons. You can’t say enough about the fresh seafood and the numerous options.

The food was absolutely perfect !!! My husband took me to lunch here on Thursday, and I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant. As soon as you step into the restaurant, you will love the old time feel. Loved the ambiance, food and the service. We started off with the best bread in town, then clam chowder soup and then my husband had the crab louie salad and I had the bay shrimp salad. Outstanding. Love the music in the back ground, very classy. This will be my our go to family gathering restaurant. Outstanding and the food was delicious !! Thank you

Highly disappointed!!! Went tonight for Taco Tuesday, for which we’ve gone on numerous occasions. The bar was packed, as it is often. No spots for a couple to sit. You can only order the Taco special at the bar. Yet, the times when there were no seats, we’ve able to be seated at a table and still take advantage of the special. That was not the case tonight. We were denied the opportunity to be seated somewhere other than the bar and partake of the special. Scott’s management and bar service were more than willing to let loyal and regular customers walk out without so much as a «we’re sorry.» Well, Scott’s may have just lost a good customer. Instead, we went to El Pueblo, a relatively new place minutes away, that is more than happy to welcome new«regulars». By the way, the food at El Pueblo was delicious.

This restaurant is an all time family favorite of mine! We’ve always had stellar service & food here & always look forward to the next meal! An always & must to order is the seafood tower! It’s progressively been reduced, portion size, over the years(even though the price remains the same… If not higher), but it’s still delicious! The oysters are fresh & everything has a bright crisp flavor to it! Another must have is the spicy crab bisque! DELICIOUS! A little spicy, but has a great depth to it & taste of yummy crab! My all time favorite entrée is the pacific rim salad w/crispy calamari! SOOOOOO refreshing yet filling… The dressing is tangy yet light & everything compliments one another! Try it have you haven’t yet! Ohh yeah… Almost forgot… One of the YUMMIEST cocktails I’ve had there is their raspberry lemon drop! You gotta try it for yourself! Too damn yummy to be true!

With how much excitement comes from every person in our family when our gathering will be located at Scott’s, I have no choice but to give it 5 stars. Very formal, and classy service, also high quality food. Even if you don’t want seafood! The steak and burgers are also impressive. They start you off with a ridiculously large and tempting mountain of fresh bread and butter. I’m a sucker for the ahi tuna and this is usually my choice, however this trip the oysters won me over. So impressive I could have eaten as many as they had in stock! I would always recommend this restaurant and this location for a quiet romantic date or for a business meeting or family gathering.

The food was absolutely delicious! I had the skirt steak and my fiancé has the salmon special. The ambiance, food, and service was fantastic! The presentation of the food was beautiful. Pricey but worth it. I highly recommend for couples. My only complaints were salad isn’t included with the entrée, but they don’t tell you so beware. Our waitress asked if we wanted a salad. We said sure and found out later it was another $ 15. The salad was nothing special and we didn’t care for it at all. The calamari appetizer was just ok. It wasn’t quite crispy enough and a little soggy. Everything else more than made up for it, so 5 stars from me!

Stopped in for dinner on 29/05/2015, 7:45P reservation, arrived early and headed to the bar. The bar is packed but the patrons were pleasant. We had an awesome bartender, I can’t remember his name, dang it. I was a little weary about the food portions because of some reviews. I had the crab Louis and my girl had the Seafood Sauté Crab Louis’ are self explanatory, but this crab Louis had more crab than any crab Louis I’ve had — even in Monterey! Seafood sauté — marvel. So you have a white wine and butter sauce with Asiago cheese topped with seafood, sounds rich doesn’t it? It was actually very light, perfectly seasoned and it wasn’t heavy. You really ought to give this place a try. The staff and management is so attentive, but not that weird attentive where you have to politely ask to be left alone or are asked if everything is okay every time the fork is near your mouth. We will be back.

We LOVE Scott’s Seafood, we just are hesitant to order takeout from here because we have had a few unpleasant/inconsistent experiences with their takeout service in the past. We ordered again from them this weekend, and we were helped by a nice young woman when we went to pick up our order. Our food was great, ASALWAYS. However this time there was a charge for bread on the bill. The nice gal ringing us up said that didn’t make sense and she kindly removed it. We truly appreciated that. I wish I knew WHAT their bread policy was for takeout service. In the past we have been told«you don’t get bread»(prices are the same if you eat in or take out), then last Fall we were charged for it, next time we did takeout we were given four slices, and this time it was on the bill but the gal graciously removed it. These inconsistencies make me hesitate to go back very often(for takeout), so 95% of the time we pick other restaurants. A shame, as Scott’s food is DELICIOUS! Crab cakes, crab bisque, fish and chips, salmon, oysters, everything we have ever eaten here has been FABULOUS.

I came here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and I could have not asked for a better experience. I made a last minute reservation here on a Monday night at 7 because our original restaurant I wanted to go to was closed. They took me in and was able to get us seated right at 7. We ordered 12 oysters, friend calamari, seafood fettuccine, and a fish entrée(I forgot the name). Everything was really delicious. I even ordered myself a glass of Chardonnay because our waitress suggested it would taste really well with the oysters. She was definitely right! It was extremely delicious with the oysters and it just made our meal even more perfect. Our waitress was amazing. She checked up on us when we needed it and gave us our privacy. Nothing is more annoying than a waitress coming up to you, asking if you need anything, when obviously you don’t. The one gesture they did that made my heart melt was that they gave me a birthday ice cream dessert for free without us even requesting it. They asked us what we were celebrating and obviously I said this dinner was for my birthday. Our waitress just said happy birthday and did her usual check ups with us. At the end of our meal, she gave me the dessert and wished me happy birthday once again. It was honestly so thoughtful and sweet. I will make sure to come back here if I am ever in the area again! This place treated us so well and I honestly made the right decision on having my birthday dinner here.
