Love this place. I moved to EDH two years ago from the bay area. It took me a while to find a authentic taqueria that was actually worth spending my money on. I came here and never looked back.(And its only about 10 min from my house in EDH) Chicken tacos. AMAZING Carne asada burrito. BOMB Nachos. DELICIOUS All around a great place. I will be coming to this place every time i crave for tacos/burrito

My favorite local taco spot. Can’t go wrong on taco Tuesday by bringing home a dozen tacos.

Looks like a little whole in the wall next to a bar, however it is an amazing taqueria. They have the best asada tacos in Folsom and even provide their own hot sauce. Great snack if you are partying it up next door at City Slickers.

I have been dying to stop into this little place. After my mom and I had a bad experience at another spot and left without eating I decided this was the time. So glad we did. If you are looking for amazing street tacos then this is your place. If you want sit down service and a great margarita this is not. It is definitely not in the best location but the service and food make up for it. The father and son were so sweet. The cabeza was my favorite. I’m looking forward to future Taco Tuesday’s!

Great little taco shop… it’s like they drove the taco truck into the building! Good fresh food, missing a star because they’re Cash Only which is no bueno in 2015.

If you remember this place has 1 dollar street tacos on Tuesday ANDITS A TUESDAY –you are in so much luck! Delicious carne asada and chicken taco… order as many as you can eat for a buck. Order extras to take home for later.

It has been years since I have visited this establishment and I reckoned it was time to visit again. The street tacos are perfectly made and simple. They are generous with the meat but on this visit the meat was a little bland. Ordered the carne asada and adobada. The fresh made hot sauce is damn tasty. The place is next door to a bar and only offers outdoor seating which the smokers use. More of a to go restaurant.

This place single handily has the best hot sauce in town! Delicious street tacos and amazing spicy pork. Been coming here every tuesday for taco tuesday for the last two years and i don’t see my routine changing anytime soon. Great family ran restaurant and to all the people complaining about the cigarette smoke are you not aware that its connected to a bar where locals hangout? If you don’t like the smoke guess what?! You can go inside and order.

Taco Tuesday. That’s all I can review. ALL tacos are $ 1. Cash only. Are they small street tacos? YES. Do you need at least 5 to satisfy your hunger? YES. Now, I’m not sure how they get away with having toddlers in that kitchen. And I’m pretty sure the people that are touching your money, are most likely touching your food, too. Are they washing their hands? I don’t know. I don’t want to know. As long as I DON’T get sick, I’ll go here on occasion. Oh and yeah it’s attached to a bar which attracts a lot of trashy locals that like to smoke cigarettes all the time so if you’re sensitive to that type of thing, get your food to go.

Basically across the street from the Folsom Library, I would have missed this place because normally I wouldn’t have stepped into a bar, the City Slickers bar. But in the corner of the bar is this familia taqueria. And it really is «familia» as I saw the little baby in the high chair in the kitchen. The guy was very friendly and spoke Spanish and English, and was very helpful too. The carnitas tacos are $ 1 everyday, but for Taco Tuesday, all the meat tacos are $ 1. Although the tacos were small, about 5 inches in diameter, they were very tasty and served with lime and salsa. Like I said earlier, I wouldn’t step into a bar, but this is a great place for Taco Tuesday. Next time I guess I should order tortilla chips with it!

This place has the best carnita tacos. For only a dollar, you can’t beat it. Chicken tacos weren’t too great but I’ve tried carnitas and lengua and if you’re hispanic and know what a real family taco tastes like, then you’ll love these. If you think chipotle is real mexican food or think that la fiesta is as authentic as it gets, you might not understand how good these tacos are.

This little place is prety good. They have a good seletion of items on the menu, to be a tiny place. The food is good and so are the prices. And if you want more than a soda with your meal, you can grab a stiff drink at the bar next door. Q

Man, I really want to like this place more, because the owner is super-nice. Even when I’ve accidentally come after closing(twice, because apparently 8pm is too hard for me to remember), he says, «Thank you so much señorita! Thank you for coming!» And that’s extra polite because I have my kid with me so he knows I’m not a señorita ;) The customer service gets 5 stars, but the food gets 2 stars, at most. The problem is that it’s just a bad mix of fresh ingredients with instant ingredients. The tomatoes and salsas and sour cream always taste fresh, but the chips, nacho cheese, and beans all come from cans. The meat is just okay– 3 stars on the carne asada, which is really what matters most. It’s just not fresh enough or flavorful enough. You can get away with it on a little taco with onion and cilantro covered in salsa, but it doesn’t work for the bigger dishes like nachos and burritos. Plus, the two times I’ve gotten nachos, I noticed a grease pile at the bottom of the dish when I was done, and I ended up feeling a little sick. So, again, I have to say, stick to the tacos, or anything basic, really. The sopes are fresh, and they just have meat, lettuce, and sour cream, so pour some salsa over that and you’re good. $ 2 each is decent for the amount of food you get. The salsas both taste fresh and great, but again, neither one is spicy. I could shoot the«hot» salsa container like an olive oil sample and not even feel it. The horchata is really good. It doesn’t have that waxy sediment at the bottom that horchatas made from mixes usually have. As to ambiance, well, they are basically a side-thought to the bar, so it’s mostly the bar scene. If you bring kids, I would recommend ordering at the window outside, and taking it to go. Even then, there are usually drunk people smoking on the patio, so it’s maybe not the *best* place to bring kids. The bar itself doesn’t seem super clean, but the restaurant area does. It seems like they are constantly scrubbing something down in there, and of course you can see everything they do through the window.

Across the street from the Folsom Public Library this restaurant has solid Mexican food. The Hot sauce is very tasty. Reasonably priced. From the looks of it when I was there on a Friday around 11:30am it is a go to lunch spot. Fast and friendly.

Wondered into the bar to meet a buddy for a beer one night and Was surprised that there was a small taqueria adjacent to it. They have $ 1 tacos and they are legit street tacos. I was skeptical at first but I’ll try just about anything for a buck. Ever since I make it a point to swing by there to grab some tacos when I’m in the area. Do yourself a favor and give them a try. I haven’t had anything else and to be honest I don’t even feel the need.

You can’t beat taco Tuesday here but beyond that, the non-Tuesday prices are worth it for the Tacos and they had really good nachos! The meat on top was superb(chicken) and so is the pork quesadilla! Really pretty good Mexican food– much better than you might even expect. Really good! Gotta love being able to sit on the patio during the summer evenings and enjoy your dinner/snack! :)

There are few public restaurants where you are required to put your health at risk to simply order food. This is one of them. The health department should look into this place. The second-hand smoke where consumers have to order food is dangerous. The owner allows chain smoking employees to gather right next to where you order your food. Smells like a dirty ashtray 24 – 7. Not family friendly. No «Familia» in this Taqueria. I chose not to expose my children and my wife to 2nd-hand smoke. It’s absolutely gross. I’m not exaggerating. Now, what do I think of the food? Well, you get so turned off by the smoke the food becomes secondary. The food is OK but then again it’s not worth risking your health to order it and then having to go home to take a shower because you smell like a dirty ashtray. This restaurant needs to clean up their act immediately.

…so, i thought i was getting lucky as I was crazy hungry but at the same time not wanting to do the whole sit down thing for lunch. I wanted to grab a quick meal — and not knowing folsom very well I stopped at the first quick eats spot i saw that wasn’t burger king. …i shoulda hit up burger king… Here’s what i got — Carnitas burrito. the wife got 2 taco’s one chicken one beef. my list of grievances –kinda pricey for what you got **you got to remember we are in cali — and there are so many cheap awesome spots for great mexican you either have two choices –be amazing or be cheap if your neither, find a way to strike a balance between the two –i ordered a carnitas burrito — what i got was a 7 layer burrito from taco bell on a nicer tortilla but roughly the same size for 6 bucks. I couldn’t even taste the carnitias they were so bland. ** here’s my tip — don’t skimp on the meat if your skimping on taste… ’nuff said the mexican rice was tasty inside my burrito as far as my ladies taco’s they were pretty standard taco’s except the tortilla was a weird shade of yellow. i don’t know if this is because of type of tortilla they used or the type of frying they used… but its weird. I dunno, maybe its just me. but they looked off. Will i eat there again? maybe — convenience is everything with me who knows. I will say this… the people working were very nice — pretty much what puts them at a 2 instead of a 1
