Designs In Dentistry

These Guys are Awesome!!! The doctors and staff at Designs in Dentistry are Awesome!!! I have always been very nervous about going to the dentist but not anymore. Now from the time I walk in their beautiful state of the art facility and I’m greeted with friendly smile I feel at ease. Dr. Jacobs always takes time to make sure I know everything about the procedure he’s going to do at that appointment and that I am comfortable before moving forward. After my procedure Dr. Jacobs personally called me to follow-​up and make sure that i was fine and feeling good. I don’t get that from any of my other me practioners. The level of care and concern for my families well being is unparralled. I know I’ll never go anywhere else but Designs in Dentistry you shouldn’t go anywhere else too!

I have been a patient of Dr. Ortner since 2002. He is an artist in his profession. He uses the most up to date technology in his practice. One of Dr. Ortner’s greatest assets is his ability to listen to you and your concerns. Based on your needs, he and his team will work with you to achieve that great smile! I live in Walnut Creek now and still drive an hour and half to see him. He’s that good!

BEWARE. I’ve been coming here since 2009 NO MORE!
They are shady, shady shady. I was out-​of-​network the whole time, yet they told me «they accept Aetna». Here is the problem, Aetna doesn’t «accept» them… they have no contract with Aetna.
This practice is disgusting & deceitful, in my opinion. I received several estimates for mouth guards and always questioned why they were so expensive. Even then, no mention of being «Out of Network» they would just say, «your insurance isn’t covering a lot of it»…I always thought I had bad insurance.
When I called the office for an explanation the woman on the phone had the nerve to tell me, «Out of Network and In Network costs are the same a lot of the time». No they aren’t, that is why In Network is better. They never once acted as if they had done something wrong.
I guess that is what you get when you trust people, always double check because saying they «Accept» your insurance doesn’t mean anything anymore apparently.
