Greek salad was nothing but lettuce. Grilled chicken Cesar wrap again, nothing but lettuce. If you’re a rabbit this is a great place. Hungry human, go elsewhere

this was the best pizza I’ve had in this area, this is real homemade pizza with an amazing fresh taste.

Although it wasn’t on the menu, we asked for eggplant on our pizza. The owner was more than happy to accommodate us. The pizza came out fresh and delicious with plenty of eggplant. Nice crust, just crispy enough and done perfectly(not soggy in the middle). First time we ate there, but will go back. The menu is extensive, the prices are fair and they deliver. What’s not to love?

Pretty good pizza. I can’t comment on anything else, I had it at a party and I enjoyed it.

This restaurant is a staple for the college students of Swarthmore, but it’s not because the food is of an even remotely memorable quality, because the prices are extremely fair, or because the service is at all good. It’s because they deliver and are open relatively late(midnight all week). Desiring something to tide me over until tomorrow’s lunch since I’d been writing a paper all day and had consumed literally nothing but an energy bar since I woke up that morning, I called Appetito’s, pretty much the only place that could provide me with anything more than a bag of Doritos at 10PM on a Thursday on Swarthmore’s campus. I ordered a Student Special($ 7.50 for a large pizza) for my boyfriend, and for my vegan self ordered curly fries and a vegetarian pita sandwich, which wasn’t on the menu, but wasn’t a very hard order to request: all I said was that I’d like everything that’s on the Vegetarian Pizza on a pita bread, minus the cheese. If you work in the food industry, this is REALLY a simple order to take, which I can testify due to my four years’ experience working as a server and taking FAR more complex orders successfully at a much more busy hour(again, this is 10PM on a random Thursday). I made sure to read off each topping on the pizza so that they knew exactly what I wanted: MARINARASAUCE, MUSHROOMS, spinach, broccoli, onions, green peppers. I repeated this twice. All was good, I paid with a credit card, and waited the requisite hour or so that it ALWAYS takes to get pizza delivery at Swarthmore, no matter how simple your order. When they arrived with my food, everything seemed to be off to a good start. The pizza was piping hot and fragrant in a good way, that much I could tell from holding the box. Once inside my room, my boyfriend agreed that the pizza was very hot and surprisingly tasty for a local pizza joint(and he’s New Yorker!). My curly fries were hot, crisp, not oily, and the only complaint I could really have about them is that they somehow tasted a little burnt. Then the sandwich. It was cold. Not a good sign, but I could deal. Maybe they mistakenly thought I wanted the toppings cold. Unraveled the sandwich. It was pita bread covered in raw spinach, raw broccoli, raw onion, and a slice of raw tomato. Are you serious?! For $ 5.25. Absolutely confounded as to how they could have though that any living human being would want a pile of raw vegetables on a dry pita bread and furious because the two things that would have actually made it a sandwich, the tomato sauce and mushrooms, were missing, I dialed Appetitos back. It rang and rang and rang, despite the fact that it was only 11:08PM and they close at midnight. I called them for over half an hour straight, nonstop. And no one answered. Thanks for my overpriced pile of inedible vegetables, I really appreciate it, and THANKSFORDOINGYOURJOBS by answering the phone during your business hours so that, if you didn’t have the decency to remedy your error, you could at least APOLOGIZE. I’m still hungry. :(
