Foul smelling– they say it is ‘smoke free’. Doubt it. I felt it was necessary to wear socks in our room. I have never posted a negative review, but it was needed this time.

Mediocre hotel, decent for one night but not much more. Staff was nice, but when I showed up, I waited for almost 10 minutes at the front desk until one of the employees returned from getting supplies(instant coffee) for another guest. Every time I left the hotel and returned, the individual who was supposed to be at the front desk was outside smoking a cigarette. She apologized for it, but that’s not really the type of service I’m looking for. Room was fine but the recent«upgrades» were inconsistent. There were two microwaves, both of which looked like they were manufactured in the 70s. AC was a bit antiquated and continued to turn on and off throughout the night based on the temperature setting. But, hey, we were there for one night and it was sufficient. Will I return? Probably not — I’d look for a more professionally run place in the future.

On town on business and I have a choice of only 5 budget hotels to stay in. This was the best of the worst. I would NEVER stay here if I had to pay for this myself. Run down place. Adequate if you are here on business and you have no choice. The place needs to be cleaned and they need to become a complete non smoking hotel. Bathroom fixtures need updating. The conditioned air is either cold or hot, no in between. The breakfast buffet was less than stellar, a lot less. The desk clerk was nice and helpful and should be working at a better hotel. The guests seemed creepy, except for me and this older couple. The wifi is pretty good and the tv gets lots of channels. The refrigerator smelled like old bologna. The bible seemed to be okay, my friend Ryan would enjoy it very much. That’s all I got to say!!!

This hotel provides adequate accommodations, but the staff are inattentive to detail. We were a party of three but towels and glassware were provided for two. The internet password provided had expired. The water bottles in the soda machine had all been taken. The door to the room was misaligned. And the toilet knob broke. The check-in form was bizarre. Lots of little things made a bad impression. Room was cool and comfy and staff pleasant.

Disregard those who had a problem finding this place. I’m from NJ& was never in this part of PA& was not using a gps – exit 49b off 78 immed left at next lite entrance on 1st block on left — large sign with all the businesses – interesting setup was almost like a mini-mall/shopping center. As others stated desk clerks very friendly — bed soft but not mushy. Mini-kitchen sink – had all the items you need. It was the«little things» that ruined what would have been a 4-star review. Minimal amenities – 1 of ea – bar of hand soap, body soap, shampoo, hand lotion(in a lupstick size tube & watery. NO toothpaste, brush, paper cups(unless you dont mind rinsing your mouth out of the same glass cup), mouthwash, band-aids, etc. These things I’d overlook but the main reason was the breakfast. I could have gone to another chain for $ 18 less but their advertised breakfast paled in comparison to the«advertised» breakfast here. This was a Sunday morning so that is sort of a popular day people eat breakfast, you know? Hours are 7a-930a – we got there at 9 – they were out of scrambled & boiled eggs, grapefruit juice corn/fuit muffins, danish/pastries. What was left was 5 strips of bacon swimming in a pool of grease, 6 sausage patties, 1 bagel, 1 eng muffin, 1 slice whole wheat. They still had plenty of fruit, orange juice(only 1 type of milk their site advertised 2) & waffle batter & condiments. What even made this worse was THEHELPWASTAKINGFOODFROMTHESAMEAREA!!! I’ve been to other places I’ve never seen this. At least 5 – 6 other couples came down right after us & turned right around & probably headed to the Cracker Barrel next door. This to me is a disgrace – to be cheap on the food & amenities esp when it’s a $ 125 room(which is one of the lower ones so majority of ppl paying $ 150-$ 200+) I proceeded to email customer service & got a call back from a manager aplogizing & sending me a voucher good for approx 50% rate which is fair & the reason this review is 2& not 1 star.

My second week at this hotel proved to be not nearly as pleasant as the first. I had a different room and it was not in great shape. There was a large white stain on the carpet outside the door, damage to the wall in the room, a noisy air conditioner and the room, though labeled non-smoking, had the distinct odor of cigarette smoke. There was a wad of toilet tissue stuffed in to the wall where the shower head attached to the pipe. The carpet in the room was stained as well. The desk chair had a broken wheel and the refrigerator was half the size of the one in the previous room, making it difficult for me to store the foods I had bought, expecting the same sized fridge… they were unable to move me to another room because they were booked up with utility crews in the area to repair the storm damage. Understandable. All in all a very disappointing experience after enjoying the first week spent there.

Nice place with these exceptions, BEDSUCKED, AC in the room while running your cool or fine then when the thermostat cuts it off your warm or hot, you cycle between the two all night long. My idea of a motel is its a place to sleep, when the bed is terrible and the room temperature fluctuates all night then sleep is out of the question. On the other hand if you want a really big room that has a microwave, refrigerator, High Def TV, and Internet access this place is for you. All I wanted was a good nights sleep.

Stayed here in September 2009 with grandchildren to spend a day at Dorney Park. The hotel is nice for that purpose. The breakfast is quite good. Fresh Fruit, and a few hot items. The rooms are clean and quite well appointed. Would stay here again. The only thing that is lacking is nearby sit-down restaurants. I don’t like Cracker Barrel. There’s a couple about a mile south. We went to the Diner and it was as expected, and recommended for what’s nearby. Otherwise, you need to get back on the highway and travel. We also went to Buca DiBeppo in Allentown, which is about 10 miles away.
