Service is not to good. Same hostess in the waitress. As your walking to the bathroom there are workers that are peeling raw chicken right next to you while your eating.

Zen is my local fusion sushi spot to dine in or delivery. On this snowed in day, they didn’t have a delivery guy. My friend called me on the road to place an order with Zen for pick up. Zen didn’t honor the full $ 10off$ 50 Bc my friend didn’t have the coupon. If the food was delivered to my home I can hand the coupon to the delivery guy. From a customer’s point of view, Zen should honor the full discount to keep the customers happy.

I just love this place! we have a lot of sushi place around but the have the best dish the atmosphere. The place is not big and decorated perfect, the zen Solomon is one of the best Japanese dish I found in the hull city.

I used to love this place! I introduced so many people to the local gem. Since the new management every aspect of of service and quality has gone down. Good is not as fresh and tasty. Servers are RUDE and not knowledge, drinks are not good and prices gone up. Last time we went the server all took a lunch break and we had to call them for everything including the bill after waiting for such a long time.

This place is amazing, the food the ambience service was all great. The menu had so many great choices i wanted it all. The price is afforable as well. I went specifically for sushi and i must say this will definitely be my new favorite sushi restaurant. They have other entrees like steak anf loberster and pinapple fried rice and curry and all those good stuff. The only thing i must say is th3 dessert menu didnt have much of a selection. However i wanted fried ice cream which wasnt on the menu but the waiter mentioned it so im happy i got my fried ice cream. definitely a place to check out.

Food is very good. They have a new menu. Service is good, however, a simple serving etiquette would be to ask(at the end of a meal)– «would you like anything else?» Without any word, we got handed the check as soon as the entrée plates were taken. I guess, they don’t want us to try their desserts

Nice Asian fusion restaurant, host was super friendly, took a picture is and moments later presented us w a photo souvenir. The menu is enormous. I had the scallops hibachi which came w soup and salad and fried rice. The scallops came out w gravy which I wasn’t crazy about. I would’ve preferred just grilled scallops. Free appy of spicy pickled cabbage and peanuts was nice touch. Good service. Fried calamari w spicy Asian dressing was best I’ve tasted.

Their food is good. My boss and I always order from this place bc they have such a large variety of vegetable dishes. But they get 3 stars bc their online ordering doesn’t work. 2 times I ordered and waited over an hour for the food to then call and find out they never received the order. Come on people, I got a confirmation email that the order went through. It happened twice bc I forgot it happened the first time! Smh. And they take forever to deliver.

I have been to Zen about 10 times in 2015. The golden Pineapple with Shrimp is really tasty. I always liked their Tom Yum soup with Shrimp. Beautiful décor and a lot less nosy than other Asian Fusion restaurants. Every time I try a new dish I am pleasantly surprised. Very clean bathroom with purple lighting.

Today was move in day for freshmen at St John’s University. After Zach was all moved in he wanted to eat. We were walking up the street and Samantha said lets eat here. The atmosphere was pretty lively and cool. Everyone who helped us was great. But the best part of this restaurant is the food!!! The sushi was so light and fresh! This is an absolute repeat restaurant when we go visit Zach at school.

I used to love this place before yesterday when my friend and I ordered for delivery from them. We ordered the chicken satay, spring rolls, coconut shrimp, salmon teriyaki lunch box, and chicken basil lunch special. I put in the order and repeated it twice to make sure they got everything correct esp since my friend wanted the salmon teriyaki and he was allergic to shrimp(allergic as in anaphylaxis and he doesn’t have an epi pen). Needless to say, we waited about 30 – 40 mins and whoa behold, they sent shrimp teriyaki instead of salmon. We called them and told them that the order was wrong n they needed to send the salmon teriyaki, while we waited another 30 mins, my friends 6 yo nephew went ahead thinking it was ok, ate the shrimps from the shrimp teriyaki. I, thinking that it was fine since they couldn’t exactly seek the food, didn’t think much of it. Finally when the salmon teriyaki arrived I went down to get it, only to come back up Bc the delivery guy(this young guy in a sports car with a nasty look) wouldn’t give me order without the shrimp teriyaki so I had to go back up and get it. After handing it to him, he proceeded to check the shrimp and asked what happened to all the shrimp and I told him my nephew ate it. He started yelling at me and cursing at me in English and his native tongue. He wouldn’t give me the order and tried to intimidate me by coming at me like he was gonna hit me. I became scared n slapped the door and heard him say fuck u bitch before throwing the shrimp teriyaki in front of my door. Of course, I called the restaurant back and told them what happened and they didn’t even apologize. All they could say was ‘I didn’t kn and what do u want us to do.’ Initially I was gonna have them send me the order but then my friend’s mom was like they may spit in the food or something, so I told them I wanted to be refunded. They agreed. When I went to the restaurant, the lady ignore me for a few minutes until asking me about my order, she gave me back my money for the salmon teriyaki not once apologizing or saying anything to make the transaction better. I have received wrong orders before, but never have I been treated so abhorrently by a restaurant after they had made a mistake. This place is ridiculous and there food isn’t so good that I would ever again subject myself to such behavior. I would just like to say to the people of Zen Fushion, please learn to treat your customers better or one one day soon, u will see ur doors closed!

Everything about this place was just ok. A little pricier for the quality. Started with the Thai ice tea, which shouldve been stronger. Food was OK-had the spicy salmon tartar for appetizer, some sashimi, some kinda noodle dish and sizzling beef. Downside is that we came in on the late side and they pretty much kicked us out. we didn’t realize it was close to closing until they started taking away the food as we were still eating and gave us the check without any desert option.

I ate the food at this place 2 times. First time was when I ordered a 2 people size sushi take-out, it’s a pretty good price for $ 35, you get a whole meal of sushi. The food was standard, so I thought I would go back and have a dine-in. It was a huge mistake! First of all, there was no host at the front, the bartender came out of her bar and sat us down. The restaurant was half empty… She brought us to a 2×2 square table, crawled on the chair and shifted the chairs back, which lasted 1 minute because she was so small and didn’t have the power to move the chairs. We were a party of 3, but the table had 2 sets of utensils. She put the big stacks of menu in front of one of us, and went to bring an extra set of utensils. She came back and put the utensils at the empty seat, and left… –_– so I had to grab the set over and put it in front of us. we ordered the food and it wasn’t that great either. let me remind you… The restaurant was half empty, she sat the next table down right behind me, a big dude sat down and push his chair back(our chairs are connected together), it was rude for him, but come on waitess, why would you struggle to push the chair back for me, if you’re just gonna sit someone down right behind me, instead of 10 other empty tables all over the restaurant?! Also some lady came out of nowhere and went between my two friends heads and shouted«EVERYTHINGGOOD?!» scared the bejesus out of us. Everybody looked miserable there, it just wasn’t that great of a place. I would recommend doing a take out if you want a cheap sushi dinner that will be ready in 20 mins. The only reason I gave a star was because the food was eatable if you do take out

My husband and I encountered the WORST customer service given at ZEN! Believe me when I say, THEWORSTSERVICE! Why do my husband and I always end up with poor customer service? So on a Sunday night, we placed an order online for ONLY2PADTHAIDISHES for pickup because we wanted to eat at home. The estimated time was from 25 to 35 minutes. Ok, fine, no problem. So 40 minutes passed and we drove down to Zen to pick up our food. The waitress made us wait another 20 minutes for our order, so during the timeframe, we constantly followed up on the reason for the delay but the hostess or waitress(they do everything there), kept on brushing us off. Then it hit the 1 hour mark and still no sign of our food. Of course, we had to rush them because we were beyond starving already. The waitress was like they are busy. Yeah, OK, like you gotta go better than this… give us a better excuse! How is it possible that it takes more than 1 hour to cook only 2PAD THAIs??? Then this waitress decided to get grouchy and loud on us. OMG, you should have seen the nasty look on her face. It is unbelievable how service can be this rude at Zen. Then her other colleges decided to butt in and pointed the gun at us, saying that we were the ones being rude to the waitress and pressuring her, blah blah blah. OMG, what the heck? We are the customers and we have every right to find out the whereabouts of our food if we are going to pay for it, no? So anyway, we did not leave no matter how heated we were with this rude-@$$ waitress because think about it, why should we leave when we didn’t do anything wrong?! So yeah, our food finally came out and then the next big thing happened. The waitress charged us 8.888PERCENTTAX! OMG, that is unheard of because the current sales tax rate is ONLY8.875PERCENT in NYC! What is going on here? First, we got cheated for our time and now MONEY? This is ridiculous of Zen! I have to give props to my husband who caught the fact that Zen has been cheating their customers on taxes!!! Good thing we demanded for a sales receipt and kept it as proof. Don’t worry Zen, we will defiinitely get to the bottom of this. I have no idea how you are managing to keep all of your good customers up until this point. Good luck to you because you have already lost a potential loyal customer!

I came here for lunch and to be honest I’m kind of a sushi newbie. I was never really into it. Maybe it’s because I’ve been eating crappy sushi? I believe so, but I decided to give it another shot. I entered and was greeted and seated quickly. Décor was okay but who cares? I don’t pay attention to that crap. I ordered a miso soup, It was so good. For the entrée I ordered the angry bird, it had shrimp, caviar, and some other stuff I don’t remember. But surprisingly I really enjoyed it. Service was good. My order was taken right away and food came out quickly as well. My server was polite and professional and made sure I was a happy camper. I can definitely see myself returning in the near future. This spot has made me a sushi fan. I’m looking forward to the next time.

The ambiance of this place is pretty dim and relaxing. I came here on a Sunday night(early dinner), and business was a tad slow. We were the only ones there, along with maybe one or two more parties. Ordered udon noodle soup, and it was delicious, but nothing jaw-dropping. Always ask for the chili powder. Service was great, and they also have a mini bar for drinks! Haven’t tried their sushi yet, but maybe next time since it’s in the neighborhood. Four stars for now!
