I’ve been to this place a few times and usually with a group of friends for some type of celebration. We always get the VIP rooms which are elaborate with multiple TVs and an old school mic stand along with hand mics. The VIP rooms comes with your own bathroom which is nice. The staff is nice and respond pretty quickly to the call bell. The music selection is decent.

I thought 100 Fun was the only place in NY with $ 10 p/hr before 9p Karaōke rooms. I was dead wrong. This place is great, rooms are really nice looking, great selection of songs, service very quick and attentive with the push of a button. When you get into the room(after 9p in my case) they made us sign a consent form in Chinese agreeing to pay $ 20 p/hr and not damage equipment then checked our IDs(which the bouncers already did when we entered). From start to finish, the room was hot and air circulation was poor. We kept informing the server but it was of no use so I had no choice and kept our room’s door opened. The restrooms inside the KTV consisted of just the toilet and roll of tissue but no sink. They have an all you can eat package for $ 30pp while singing which I guess is interesting but I could imagine how hard it would be to sing anything after stuffing your face. They have different sized room like a 100 occupancy room with a stage for the singer, small rooms with no circulation like mine and medium rooms with specialized lighting. Different packages deals with fixed food and drinks ranging from $ 288 to $ 2088 which I won’t get into but I’ll happily stick to the $ 10-$ 20 per room hour(which of course can be used as credit for foods and drinks).

I don’t why I’m seeing poor reviews on Unilocal but you have to give this place a second chance. This spot is one of my favorite karaōke joints in Flushing. My friends and I come here very often something like once a week or once in two weeks. So far I have not encountered any major problems with their service or sound system. We usually stayed there for about 2 – 3 hours because we love singing and can’t wait to lose our voices for the coming week. That was a joke, but yeah we do love singing. I also love the huge portions and the variety of food on their menu(fruit platter is always fresh and sweet). I know that they don’t speak English that well but all you have to do is point at the menu and they’ll bring it to you.

I recently stopped by for a small gathering on a Saturday night. I arrived relatively early and had a little trouble finding the place. First, you have to enter New World Mall’s main entrance where you’ll see a pair of escalators and a bunch of shops on the left and right side of the escalator. You’ll need to make a right and walk towards the industrial sized elevators that are right by the supermarket entrance. Take the elevator to the third floor. At first, once we reached the third floor, I was confused. The pair of elevators opened to reveal a Chinese banquet-styled restaurant. Have no fear. Ignore all the staring patrons and waiters and make a right, walking towards the brightly-lit neon sign that says«The One KTV». It definitely caters to a primarily Chinese crowd, so I’m not sure if they’re as well-versed in English. When you enter, you’re greeted by a podium and either one or two servers to check your ID or set up your room. We made reservations and were led to our room. On the way, there were multiple servers that greeted us. The service was super friendly and they made us feel really welcomed. Our room was large and had a cute little singing podium and old school microphone stand and a private bathroom. The servers came in when we called in a timely manner and quickly cleared away any garbage or empty jugs. I’m not sure what the final price was, but I assume that it’s standard for all KTVs in Flushing. Despite the odd location, The One recently received a face-life and got their liquor license, so I’m sure it’s a place worth checking out. On my way out(around 11:30PM, yes because I am a grandma and can no longer stay out past midnight) there was a large line and crowd of people getting their IDs checked by a bouncer and waiting to be let in. Definitely bring your IDs!

Apparently the staff are a bit nicer when you have a bigger party. but who cares because this place just got recently shut down by the police. My guesses they were selling alcohol to underage individuals. Bad move, bad move…

Poor service. I suspect that they give customer fake liquor because last time I visited here for my fd’s bday party and we ordered 2 bottles of Hennessy and they were opened when they waiter was bringing it in. I’ve been to lot of KTV. Bar. Lounge and I haven’t seen this before and the total of the night was like around 700+. We were like what??? The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 was because their place is newly decorated but the rest of things just killed my interest to this KTV

Horrible and shady place! They require 15% tip AFTER tax, the staff were extremely rude and ignorant. They looked like they were gonna beat us up even though we gave 15% on the pre-tax amount. Food was small-portioned, expensive and bad. Fishball appetizer was $ 7, and they gave us 6 and served ketchup as dipping. Song selection and even the machine interface is almost identical to other places. Bad service, bad food, won’t be back.

PROS: The rooms are spacious, nice and clean. Nice karaōke system with matching music videos CONS: However, the staff is very unfriendly and SHADY! Directed to staff — «Don’t talk smack behind my back because you think I don’t understand Chinese.» We booked a large room over the phone for $ 60 an hr, that was SUPPOSED to be good for 20 people. Got there and the room was too small so they put us in a bigger room, but upped the price to $ 70 dollars an hour. ***When we asked the staff how much food/drink credit we had left on our bill, one person said we had $ 200 left(which seemed impossible b/c we already ordered $ 200 worth of food)…5 mins later ANOTHER person said we went over our allowance… UNBELIEVABLE…THAT is very misleading and SHADY… our bill came out 2x as expected if they kept tabs better… this is why I’m rating this place 1 star… Food was average but VERY small portions and expensive. $ 5 for a can of soda/water bottle(they don’t have tap water… hahahaha), $ 30 for a small plate of fruit??? Half the menu they gave us was NOTAVAILABLE… Not worth it… NOALCOHOL allowed… major boooooo I would’ve hoped that at least 1 staff member spoke decent english… that was very frustrating. English song selection was average… but its was all lady gaga… IMO it’s not a great place unless you speak perfect mandarin and don’t need alcohol…

New World Mall is KAH-RAZY! It already has a thriving food court, gigantic supermarket, two floors of stores, and an upscale banquet-style restaurant, and now they’ve opened a karaōke lounge on the top floor. Despite the dumb name The One is pretty awesome and Flushing has one more great option for karaōke lovers. I went to a friend’s party in The One’s VIP room Friday night and it was a great time. The One reminds me of the karaōke lounges in Taiwan. The décor is hip and modern and the service is friendly and prompt. They have a sizable menu of food and drinks(alcoholic and non-alcoholic) that are covered by the hourly room rate, typical of Chinese karaōke lounges. The One employs the standard touch screen karaōke system that most of the karaōke places in Flushing use. It’s no surprise that they have an updated selection of Chinese music, but they also have a decent selection of English music too. The sound system is awesome which is no surprise since everything is new. The VIP room has it’s own personal bathroom attached; I’m not sure if the smaller rooms have their own bathroom as well. Like most karaōke joints that are Chinese-run and caters to a primarily Chinese crowd, they turn a blind eye to smoking in the room. Only time will tell if this becomes a problem for them. Basically there isn’t really anything to complain about. It ain’t cheap but split between a large group of people it’s not too expensive either. It’s easily my top choice for private room karaōke in Flushing now. If you love private room karaōke like I do, The One is the one for you!
