Best place I ever been to! Been there a million times! First discovered this place during my high school years and I never left! Staff are extremely friendly, small place but the food makes up for it. Cheap and fresh ingredients. I visit 3x a week … Love this place !!

Great priced sushi takeout! Had the mixed roll 100 pc for only $ 60. Sushi also comes wth miso soup. They dont take cards. One thing about the sushi is that they are not very well made, sure everything is there but it falls apart easily n rice portion is inconsistent amongst the same type of roll.

I would give it a 2 stars just because it filled me up. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki and there were a lot of rice on the sushi roll, also the shrimp that came with it was very thin and it didn’t taste like a shrimp. I can say I will never come here again.

The store itself is pretty small but the workers are so nice! There is such a warm ambience and the food is not too pricey. I think it’s a good place to get a quick meal.

I will not lie. It looks pretty depressing in here but the restaurant has nice people working here! You gotta find street parking if you’re driving here. And it’s not always the best. The sushi isn’t bad and their bento boxes are very cute. They were delicious! Even though the restaurant looks depressing, I would definitely come back

My friend and I ordered two bento boxes, a lot of meat, very full. They also gave each of us some appetizers, a bowl of miso soup and a scoop of green tea ice cream for free. Definitely worth it.

Went for their sushi lunch buffet. Really disappointed. You get what you paid for. They only served roll for buffet. No sashimi, no sushi. Trust me, stay away. You will thank me.

First time there, the service and food was great! They were accommodating, we went for a late dinner so it wasn’t crowded. We ordered the deluxe platter along with a couple other appetizers and noodle soup. Everything came out in a timely manner, we got side dishes with our orders and a complimentary ice cream at the end. Overall, I would recommend this place to my friends and go for another visit.

Went for their sushi buffet and was deeply disappointed. The atmosphere was sad. My boyfriend and I went on a Friday night and NOONE was there except for us. That should have been a warning. As we ate, two people came in for take out. That’s it. The sushi itself looked terrible. Completely unappetizing. The taste itself was bland, we put random spices on it to try to save it. I lost my appetite a couple bites into the meal. The sushi seemed old. They have a table with some sushi to choose from instead of making it fresh. The shrimp tempura roll was unrecognizable, I’ve never even seen it look like that. Please save your money and go somewhere else.

This place sucks. Don’t go here. It is a buffet with premade sushi in a container that is chill. The portions are small and the sushi is horrible. Don’t cut corners and go here

Dinky looking place that has a sadder atmosphere than a funeral. Tough luck if the tables are filled since the 40 – 50 minute table times aren’t enforced. Had to wait 30 minutes after ordering to eat. The sushi wasn’t the best, but not bad. Worth it, if you want to say hi to the recently deceased or not don’t go at peak hours. I would also include that waitress was pretty hot, except that she was cold just like the sushi.

Fast food dive for sushi on the run. This place is CASH only, but as cheap as you get for sushi. Quality isn’t very high but you get what you pay for. If your an addict like me this is a place to get your sushi fix if your a local. But I would go out of my way too far to see this place.

This is the place you want to order from if you’re looking to feed tons of people sushi. The quality is not there compared to the other higher end sushi places but they are grades above one of those pre-packed sushi lunch boxes you buy from supermarkets. Food: I’ve only ordered 100 and 200 pieces sushi and maybe a few specialty rolls. I’ve never had any of their cooked food or any other dishes. The black scorpion roll is probably a fan favorite here. When you order so much sushi, it almost feel like an all you can eat sushi buffet. The family/party platter is definitely the way to go to feed a group of people. Décor: It is very tiny, that is probably why I rarely ever eat at the restaurant. But again, why would you choose sushi family as a sit down sushi place? Usually sit downs, you want to eat the best/freshest fish that are top quality and go for the experience omakase style. In my opinion, it is a take out sushi place. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with take out. Final thoughts: I will order from them again in the near future. They offer a great price for the sushi you get. And you get a lot of sushi for your buck.

I came here based on the Unilocal reviews for the AYCE menu. Sadly, I wasn’t too impressed. The buffet style sushi that they left out there wasn’t very good at all. The choices for the AYCE menu were lacking. The only thing good was the price. At $ 15.99, it was about $ 10 less than River(the AYCE that we always go to). We saw other tables with huge sushi platters that look amazing. However, unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning.

I’ve been coming here for years. Sushi Family has a lot of food to offer on their menu. The most popular item on their menu are their bento boxes. Each box are served with a side soup and salad, California rolls and fried pork chops. Their sushi are really fresh. They are not stingy on their Sashimi portions either. Their specialty rolls are delicious. Try their extra crunch American Dream Roll. That’s my favorite. Food 5÷5− Stop by and try ordering out with their big sushi platters. Their food are always fresh. Ambiance 3÷5− It can be a bit cluttered sometimes. Avoid coming here with a big group. Service 3÷5− Can be a bit slow at times when there’s only one person serving the tables and taking orders on the phone and in person. They also have an All-You-Can-Eat buffet for a cheap price. You can get Hwae Dup Baep, Udon, Specialty Rolls and Regular Rolls. Regular rolls are served at the bar table. You have to order the other specialty rolls. The problem with this buffet is they don’t include sushi on their menu and most of their rolls come with a heavy dose of spicy mayo. The spicy mayo is way too heavy. Definitely ask them to put it on the side. The rice seems a bit off each time I try their rolls during the Buffet meal. Either it’s stale or they put too much vinegar. I’m going to stick to their catering and party platters.

A small place for sushi but it is still really great! I went with a friend for saturday lunch AYCE and it was $ 15.99 They have a limited seating time which is 40min for lunch and 50min for dinner. But when I went, there weren’t that many people and we ended up staying there for a good 2 hours and the waitress was still very kind to us. Very affordable, the best sushi place in flushing. Godzilla role is a must get and there is unlimited amount of icecream! My friend enjoyed his pistachio while I feasted on red bean and greentea ice cream.

The sushi here is amazing I always loved places that was cheap and yummy and this place hits all those points. The Cheif/owner is amazing, his special rolls are delicious no matter how much I eat it I just don’t get tired of it, It’s a cute little restaurant where you can just go after a casual date, it’s not noisy and perfect for casual talking, Sushi family is always my go to place when I feel like having sushi, The staff and owner makes you feel like this is home. They are courtesous and patient and they are just amazing, Highly recommended to everyone!
