Sandra’s Place Unisex

I used to love this place. And gave it a good review before. But the more I went here the less I liked it. I’d ask the price when setting up the appointment then when it came time to my appointment is be told a price that’s $ 10 more. I had an appointment and was on time. While waiting someone who appeared to be friends with the owner had walked in and I was told «oh I’m just going to take care of them quickly» so I had to wait. This happened several times and once she knew I had to be out of there by a certain time, she took a friend a head of me and it made me late. Now that I have found a better place I won’t be back

I’ve been coming to Sandras for the past few years and every time I go, I come out feeling like a new person. They know color, cuts, and just a wonderful atmosphere. I have curly hair and not many people can cut curly but they know curly! I even brought my my two daughters ages 2 and 3 for cuts! Love this place!

I’ve been coming to Sandra for several years now and can’t tell you how pleased I am with her work. A cozy space on Union Tpke, Sandra offers blow out, styling and coloring services that are outstanding.

My good friend and neighbor had told me about Sandra’s for a while but until today, hadn’t had the chance to check it out.
I visited their new location because the old place left something to be desired. There is parking behind the stores, albeit a little tight but doable.
Sandra gave me a great blowout even though it wasn’t what I was normally used to, i was very satisfied.
It seems that the locale also has a barber in the back so expect to see a bunch of guys waiting for a cut/​trim. I heard that tje barber is rather good and he takes his time.

I was looking for a new salon closer to home and able to handle my curly hair. They did a great job. Im definitely going back !

I first went to Sandra’s as a «walk-​in» on a Tuesday, on the strength of the Unilocal reviews. The place was empty, Sandra was friendly and she gave me a good blow out so I vowed to return.
I called on a Thursday to make an appointment for Saturday. Whoever I spoke to listened to my request and started to say goodbye BEFORE I had given my name. I asked, «Don’t you need to take my name???» They did take it then but this behavior made me a little concerned.
I came in on Saturday and the place was busy. Sandra asked if I had an appointment and I said that I did. She checked the list and my name was NOT written down. She promised to fit me in but there was a long wait. To add insult to injury, the woman who did hair washing decided to give herself a manicure before checking to see if anyone was waiting for a wash. (Me!) My wait became even longer, as I had to wait for her nails to dry! The only reason that I didn’t just walk out was because I needed my hair done for a party that night.
I will not return. I do not feel that the place is run in a professional manner.

Sandra’s Place has relocated to 149−11A union turnpike (down the block). The new salon has a great neighborhood feel to it and I will always be loyal Customer. FYI if you need a haircut or color this is Def the spot

Sandra’s Place is a local unisex salon for people of all ages. Sandra is a warm, lovely stylist who listens to what you want and then proceeds to improve on it. I love the color and cut she gave me. Her prices are very reasonable, and the vibe is friendly and relaxed. It’s great to have a place like this in the neighborhood.

If you want the best haircut with a lot of TLC, Sandra’s Place is the place to get it. It’s a unisex hair salon too. I’ve been to other hair salons with too much attitude & not enough talent & friendly service. When your at Sandra’s Place (and Sandra is the owner too), she immediately makes you feel like family and in times like these it’s nice to know places like this exist.
