Rude waitress and complained to the owners. I almost walked out of this place. Shit if I’m not drinking because I QUITDRINKING, there is no freakin need to check my ID. We almost got up and walked out of the restaurant. The whole chicken was dried out. The kimchi fried rice isn’t bad. All the three times I’ve been here(not my choice to come here…) this place has been empty and dark… Very depressed looking restaurant.

I would give it zero stars if I could. I strongly advise you to go somewhere else. Went here because I remembered the chicken being really good. That was a few years back, before the owner changed. We ordered the pah-dahk(fried bite sized chicken with scallion and sauce on top). Wow. It was so terrible. The pieces are fairly big, so I was excited. However, as soon as I bit into one, it was fried batter. The chicken did not even make up ¼ of it. We were so disgusted, we couldn’t eat more than two pieces. They could have used McNuggets and it would have been much better. When we brought it up to the owner, she did not care. She said«you should have ordered the [other item], that has more chicken.» I didn’t bother arguing with her, because she wasn’t even going to care. No wonder there was only one other party on a Saturday night. And another party walked back out.

Their bbq chicken and regular fried chicken is good. I’ve only tried their chicken with fried rice omelette. I was actually expecting chicken to be mixed into the fried rice under the omelette, but it was just 2 prices of fried chicken. The rice tasted too tomato-y. Maybe I should have just ordered something else. They have very different side dishes than the ones I’m used to. They have a cabbage salad(only cabbage in it), pickled radish, and some kind of long thin cracker that looks and tastes like uncooked ramen. Why?

Okay so I am not sure why this place has such low reviews. the atmosphere is nice and since I only order chicken the price is worth it. The owners are very nice, I am pretty sure they are a family. The chicken is delicious as are the sweet potato fry things they just gave me. Korean places in general are pricey but I find Mani Mani not bad compared to some of the other restaurants here around my house. I can spend 20 dollars and feed my family for a couple days. But other places over here I spend 150 and still leave hungry. So yeah I give Mani Mani 5 stars. I will probably be back next week after church again :)

I’m surprised to see this place actually having reviews because for the longest time I wasn’t sure if this is even a real restaurant. I went in there years ago with a friend and upon entering there was no one inside, no customers, no servers, and it was a little dark. The place was completely empty and it was a little creepy. Finally a man came out from the back and we asked him if we could order some food, but he said they didn’t have it(even though what we asked for was advertised on the window) and told us to go away. We asked for another dish that was also advertised and he said they didn’t have it either. We left after that. Nowadays I pass by this place all the time and it’s the same story. There is never anyone inside as far as I have seen. You never see people through the windows, no servers, never any people standing in front of the restaurant in the evening buzzed on soju. Never any groups of old Korean guys taking a cigarette break outside, smoking and laughing amongst each other like at all the other restaurants in the area. Although the store front windows are pretty and decorated with images of food, they are opaque and makes it hard to see inside, but when you can see inside there is never any activity in the restaurant. I was so curious to see if this place was listed online in places like Unilocal and low and behold it is and it actually has reviews which is shocking.

Way too pricey for a noodle house and I couldn’t shake the Chinese take-out grease smell… I can get the same kind food of at a take-out or street vendor for half the price… please don’t waste your time or money in this place

The food was decent, but I found it to be waaaaay overpriced. Maybe should have ordered the chicken. Me and two friends found ourselves hungry in Flushing at 2AM. We passed this place and we decided to give them a try. I got a bowl of their janchi gooksu, and my friends shared a kimchi fried rice. They were prepared and served well, but I don’t know if I’d be willing to pay that much for what I got. If I come back I’ll probably have to try their chicken fry.

I really want to like this place, it’s so well decorated but I wish the food taste better. Their food is a bit pricey considering the quality they serve. I tried the seafood udon which was ok, the half chicken which was a disappointment since I usually love Korean fried chicken. And I also got the omurice,(Japanese rice omelet) and the rice just taste bland. They even charge you 2 bucks for tea, I can buy a box of lipton tea bags with that price… place was really empty on a snowy and cold Friday night. I guess that just reflects the food.

This place used to be a go-to drinking spot back in high school. After getting raided over and over again, they finally began enforcing ID checks and the place completely died out. I went back there recently(because it was cold, we were hungry, and I remembered how awesome their fried chicken used to be) only to be SO disappointed, it was almost painful to leave a tip. The half-half chicken that used to feed 4 – 5 people was not even enough for the 3 of us. Not only that but they nearly DOUBLED their prices on the menu! I mean it’s ridiculously overpriced for no good reason. I could tell why none of their previous customers returned after reopening. The only reason why this place deserves 2 stars instead of 1 is their fried sweet potato. Order the cheapest thing on that menu JUST for the sweet potato. That stuff is crack.

It’s a small quaint spot. A bit pricey for a hole in a wall kind of joint. But the food was good. If your tired of eating bonchon or kyochan wings, and thighs. they fry a whole chicken over here! and surprisingly it’s juicy inside and crispy outside on the white and dark meats. I also had their spicy seafood stew. It was quite good. I would probably go back again during the winter seasons. Perfect place to keep your body warm.

I love their BBQ chicken. I used to order out, b/c the interior wasn’t too inviting for social drinks. The good news is that they recently did some renovations and it’s a lot better. Down fall to the renovation is that the price of the dishes have all gone up! All of the sides are $ 15 and up. Also, the quality of the chicken has gone down. Pretty disappointed since I’ve been going to this place since they opened.

great place to drink with your friends and have spicy korean food. The dishes(which are pretty big) are $ 20+ but if you go with friends and split the price it comes out to be pretty inexpensive. The setting is pretty dimly lit and there are booths so privacy is given! Definitely check it out!

given that it was a friday night. it was dead. literally, we were the only ones there. the service was pretty good considerating we were the only ones they had to serve, but i’m not complaining. honestly, i thought the chicken was really delicious. we ordered both the plain fried chicken and the yang yum(sweet, savory, and spicy all in one) chicken. **side note: very different from bbq** we also got a mini-keg of budlight which was plenty big for the four of us. if you want a low-key evening with your friends without the typical underage flushing korean kids around, come here and enjoy some delicious fried chicken and peace and quiet.

I’m not go into too much detail, cause there isn’t much to say. This was pretty dissappointing as far as Korean fried chicken goes. It came with two styles, regular fried chicken and then a BBQ style. The regular was just way to greasy for my liking. The saucier BBQ style was a little better for me. Overall none of us left satisfied, but in the end it drove us to find something tastier out in Flushing, which is how we ended up at Han Shin Pocha. I guess everything happens for a reason…
